Tolles Design

Disappointed
It’s extremely well made, solid and feels so rich and sturdy…. But the sound quality is pretty average. Instead of just making an amazing speaker, they created a really bland cold sound and then added “spacial audio” to give it some depth. The problem is the “Spacial Audio” changes the way the songs should sound, it sounds very digital and disingenuous… It doesn’t sound terrible, but when its played beside a speaker that isn’t trying to be fancy you can definitely hear a noticeably processed sound. It’s a great speaker that has been a bit ruined by a gimmick. 6/10

Outstanding sound from such a small speaker.
Have bought a total of 4 of these now, 2 for me (the X600 and X500), 1 X600 for my wife, and 1 X600 for my stepson and his wife. We all enjoy them immensely with my stepson taking his on vacation to play in their hotel room. I keep the X500 in my bedroom where I play my iTunes playlist every night, and the X600 I use with my cellphone streaming Sirius both inside and outside the house including when I drive my old pickup truck which only has an am/fm radio. While both are outstanding, I do find the X500 to have a slightly deeper base and sound quality compared to X600. You won’t be disappointed in getting this…!

Best Speaker I’ve Ever Had Sound Quality Wise
This Speaker has left me speechless. The quality of sound that comes out this insane and of course has to do with the 3 channelCompared to the competition even speakers at higher price range can’t compete with this speaker and I’ve had plenty! Ex. JBL charge, Jbl flip, Sonos roam, ultimate ears, Any bose speaker, or a budget loud speaker like the tronsmart speaker or even the Marshall speakers!!!! (Marshall speakers do have better bass)The only 2 cons I’d have to say are -1. You cannot change the spacial audio EQ you can ONLY customize the default EQ (for now I’m sure there will be a firmware update)2. Being small has its disadvantages which is the bass. NOW I’m not saying this speaker doesn’t have bass cuz it does rich and tight it’s amazing BUT!!! Their isn’t enough extension in the bass like woofer would have nor does it hit as deep BUT that’s okay the speaker is smallUpdate-Lots of people are talking about how the spacial audio isn’t that good or not that loud. You have to keep in mind this little speaker only has 3 drivers compared to thr x600 that has 5 drivers so of course it will not as sound as (spacial) as you would like. But it will blow every speaker in its price range away nothing can compete 170 and underConclusion- Amazing just amazing if you care truly about sound this is the speaker for you. Forget the Jbl flip whatever around 200 this is the speaker for you! And with the discount it’s a STEAL!!!!!! This speaker to me personally works best with Hip-hop, R&B, nd pop at least until you can customize the EQ for the spacial audio

Not bad for a little guy
Bought this in place of my older JBL gigantic sound bar which doesn’t seem to pair anymore with my new iOS 14 phone.Really wanted this for music anyway and find it plays pretty clearly. The spatial audio, however was a little disappointing as far as that idea that it surrounds you which of course it cannot. But if you stand and move away from it or position it Centered towards you you get the idea.I find the base a little muddy but it’s still carries as well.I would love to try the X 600 when it goes down in price for comparison.I’m kind of a snob about my audio and how it sounds.I tried the 300 but wanted more spatial stereo separation, which is what I got with this. I’m enjoying it so far with different genres ranging from jazz to chill to folk music. It has a pretty warm sound.I have not tried it yet with streaming TV so I can’t say much yet about that but I will be trying that soon.Using this in my apartment. It is very heavy and not very fun to move around and I think the point is to keep it in one space though it certainly could be moved from room to room. It’s just a little bit more weight Than I’m used to in modern speakers. It saves a lot of space as well.If it was cheaper it’d be perfect which it will be.You all watch lol.I recommend this anyhow if you want to simplifyIf you’re picky like me, you may have issues but if not, you’re going to love itAn iOS of course Apple which I use it will not convert lossless as you might know because of data or something like that so that’s disappointing so it’s kind of average as far as the quality and I still have to find a charging block for this thing.Packaged really well, however in the ambient lights are kind of nice. The top buttons can be tricky and tough to press which I do not like about soundcore design so far in any of their speakers, so that can be frustrating And not very physically friendly and with vision loss like I have the lights mean nothing to me

Not a Bose
I actually thought this was a Bose when I bought it, but it is not. I was replacing a small Bose that I left out in the rain. I bought the deal with two speakers. The sound quality is OK but doesn’t sound as good as the smaller Bose.

Very good speaker, but pricy
I previously tried the X600 and was mostly happy with it, but it was a little bit underwhelming for the price. At a lower price, it would have been a solid choice/recommendation. I came into the X500 with lower expectations, but I am actually pleasantly surprised. Out of the box, the sound is a bit tinny and shallow. When I updated the firmware using the Soundcore software on my iPhone, it made the speaker sound a lot better. Using the stock equalizer, it has a small amount of bass, but clear mids and highs. The dynamic equalizer sounds muddy, and the “Bass Boost” equalizer sounds good, but doesn’t really increase the bass much if at all. I had to make a custom equalizer to get the bass/clarity more to where I wanted it and I am now happy with the sound quality and separation, for the most part. It gets plenty loud, and I appreciate the carrying handle much like on my X600. I think this speaker is a great option, but it really should be a bit less expensive IMO. $170 is a bit steep, and I feel the $100 mark would have made more sense. In my opinion, the JBL Charge sounds better, and costs less.

Powerful Wireless Speaker
The Soundcore Motion X500 bluetooth speaker is perfect if you’re looking for something portable without sacrificing quality of your listening experience. I was pleasantly surprised how much power this speaker packs given it is such a small device. It is also aesthetically designed in such a way that looks and feels like a good quality speaker right out of the box.Setting up the speaker was exceptionally easy too. I always like to try to figure things out without needing to read the instructions, and syncing this speaker with my bluetooth was as simple as pressing a button and then linking it with the bluetooth setting on my phone. With that said, the speaker instructions are easy to follow.By far my favorite feature with this speaker is the ability to change the settings and control the speaker from the Soundcore app. This works perfectly and has decent range in case you’re not right next to the speaker. Another awesome feature is the equalizer function which allows you to change from “spacial signature”, “spacial dynamic”, and “bass boost”. The sound quality is excellent. You can also customize each option in the app and assign a color to the ambient light on top of the speaker, which makes it easy to identify each setting. The speaker comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable. However, it does not come with a charging block, so you’ll need one to charge the speaker. This speaker is exactly as described. Highly recommend as a good quality portable bluetooth speaker.

Great all-around Speaker
The media could not be loaded.
The only reason this gets 4/5 stars is the price is too close to it’s big brother, the X600. The X500 has a nice and full sound with good detail and presence. Not as wide of a soundstage due to the upright layout and the lack of front tweeters limits the detail in the upper range, but it still sounds nice. The top spatial driver adds a nice layer of openers to the sound.

An amazing speaker!
I have had amazing luck with Anker products, and this is no exception. It may be small but this thing packs a punch. The speaker is easy to use. The Soundcore app allows you to customize the EQ, and you can also customize the color theme of your custom settings (the top has an ambient light). The sound is the best part, though. This may be a single unit, but the sound that comes out of its three speakers is amazing. The sound really fills a room. It pairs easily with your devices too. It also comes in great colors to please most people. The battery life is great too. Wish the handle could be removed or collapsed. Not usually one to rave about a product, but this is an amazing unit. This would make a killer gift for the music lover in your life.

Soundcore speakers rarely disappoint, this one included!
A while back, I got the Anker Soundcore Motion Boom Plus, and it has been an AMAZING speaker for us. They really earned my trust, so I got this for my daughter. I wanted something that would be durable and sound great. This speaker nails it. It will fill a room or handle an outdoor hangout just fine, and it sounds so good. And unlike many soundcore speakers, this one actually has great looks as well. Definitely recommend!

Wow, this Bluetooth speaker has impressive output!
This speaker is a huge upgrade to my previous BT speaker, JBL Flip 2.I am super impressed with the volume output. At maximum volume, the measured sound level is just under 80 db (playing music). Mid volume is 65 db. I’ve been playing Amazon music at 1/3 volume level and that is plenty loud in either my computer room or living room. Played Audible books at 1/4 volume level.Battery life is way better than my JBL Flip 2. Battery level cannot checked on the speaker but can be checked on the Soundcore app.The app allows changing the volume, power off, check battery level and change equalizer settings. New out of the box, the Soundcore app detected a firmware update for the speaker. Can change the audio setting to use LDAC codec for higher audio quality – will increase power usage.I would recommend this BT speaker to friends.

Amazing Sound!
I am so impressed with this wireless little speaker! Truly the sound that comes from this little speaker is amazing. It’s clear, it’s gets really loud and without overloading the bass. It’s lightweight and very easy to transfer from room to room. Although I wouldn’t say that it’s as amazing as some other small speakers from name brands, for what this is, I am loving it. The bass is definitely there, keep in mind that this isn’t the type of speaker that is going to fill an entire house, but it filled one of my bigger rooms in my place during a party and I was able to hear the music over about 20 of my friends. I think overall, this speaker gets the job done, looks great and is super easy to bring anywhere at home. Connects both through bluetooth and wifi and has a nice ambient light feature! I say get it and you definitely won’t be sorry!

Superb Bluetooth/Wireless speaker.
I own a few Soundcore products and they all perform very well. This speaker is no exception! Sound profile is very nice. Mids and highs play very well together and the bass is so smooth and balanced. Build quality is through the roof! This bad boy is meant to last a good long time. IPX7 waterproof rating which means you can take it outdoors and not worry about moisture or splashes. A nice study handle is attached for portability. This speaker is of medium size but is also a tad heavy (build quality). Battery life is stellar and charged fast via USB-C. Another quality product from Soundcore. I highly recommend!

Winning Speaker, great speaker that beats anything in its price range
i have owned and reviewed many many bluetooth speakers. In the Anker Soundcore range several have impressed me over the years including the amazing soundcore motion plus of 2021, the motion boom, and from this new line the Motion X600. This new X500 exceeds the X600 as my preferred speaker. While smaller and cheaper than the X600 it is louder and has deeper bass. It gives up a tiny bit of high sparkle but that sacrifice is justified. The main negative of this speaker is a result of the design decision to favor luxury over durability. Fixed handle makes the speaker less portable and the satin painted metal surfaces easily scratch and damage. Still you really can’t find anything better for the price.

Another Soundcore winner
I preordered the 500 for that $40 discount. I already have the motion 600 and when the 500 became available I was on the fence. I asked myself do I really need this? It arrived a few hours ago and I am blown away. It’s basically a smaller version of the 600 and I bought it to carry with me on walks and to take it on trips. The spatial effect is that one unique factor that made this unit worthwhile. The dynamic spatial setting adds bass to the sound and it really is a solid performer.I have way too many Bluetooth speakers, but I am glad I sprung for this one.
