Does not pair two Woburns
Works for ONE ONLY. Do NOT buy two thinking stereo pairing will work bc it WILL NOT stay connected – support? Lol didn’t help at all their suggestion to place them no farther than 3’ apart is lame. Sounds great when it works then it goes in and out of connectivity-annoying. The Marshall forums are filled with SAME complaint and NO FIX. Consider yourself warmed – buy one max.

Time machine
It’s gorgeous in appearance and gorgeous in sound quality. Every time I power it on and play music, I’m taken back to my childhood. The tonal character of the Marshall Woburn II with flat eq in my home is strongly reminiscent of the old valve amped hi-fi console in my parents’ living room. Songs streamed over Apt-X HD tug my heart back to my childhood spinning LPs and 45s.The Woburn II is heavily at the mercy of room acoustics, highly susceptible to boomy room modes and suckouts resulting from poor placement. But once placement is sorted out, this speaker plays with authority belying its size and weight with natural mids and highs and a punchy bass that plumbs to ear canal pressurizing depths.

Little pricey but awesome speaker.
This speaker is a little more than I wanted to spend, but it is cool! Classic design, part of the reason I bought it was it just looked cool. It’s definitely a displayable item and looks good on a shelf or entertainment center. It sounds great too. Has lots of volume, full clear sound and good lows and bass for a Bluetooth speaker.I really debated this and the Stanmore. I do wish It were a little smaller sometimes so I can take it in the garage or outside, but this one isn’t hard to move around. For me this replaces a Bose soundlink mini. That’s not a real fair comparison but it’s a big upgrade!

Awesome Sounds!!
This woburn II rocks! Plenty of bass and it sounds like live performance. You can throw any type of music genres -jazz, electronic, pop, rap, etc ,it is great.Get ready to experience the bass! of course, it won’t be able to shatter glass but it is really sufficient for listening enjoyment/ party. For such relatively small box, it really delivers the sounds!!I hope marshall can improve on the marshall bluetooth app as follows:-a) better instruction on how to connect device/phoneb) able to manually upgrade firmware/ check updatec) fix the bugs on the app! – the speaker should not shows as connected if the device has not been paired by pressing source button. The first time, I set it up, it upgraded the firmware and show as bluetooth connected. However, there is no sound coming out when playing bluetooth. I have to reset the pairing by pressing the source button then the sound is able to transmit from iphone to woburn 2.

The sound at concert level !!
I still have an old Bose 901 stereo with Amp and pre Amp. Throw that old stuff away. This was my 1st foray into bluetooth speakers. If your an old rocker and want to remember what concerts were like in the late 60s and 70s. Get a pair of these bad boys and hold on to your ears. Best sound I’ve experienced since live Zeppelin.

Great sounding unit that can really crank it up!
This wireless speaker is the bomb! I had a Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin for the last ten years and it finally bit the dust. While researching for a replacement I came across the Marshall Woburn II and it has not disappointed. Beautiful exterior leather bound unit. Makes a cool electric guitar sound when powered on and off (a feature that can be disabled through the app).As for the sound: quality is BETTER than my old Zeppelin Air and the capabilities for LOUD is unreal. This is an absolutely great unit and I am very happy with this purchase. It will fill up a large room with great sound and if you wanting a unit that can really crank up the volume this one is for you. The bass on this thing is also unreal. Highly recommend!

Some companies market their products, not Marshall!
Bass is solid and tight, highs are crisp and the midrange does not fail to deliver. It’s not perfect, but what is?Some companies spend heavily on marketing and some spend on quality. My Bose is in the basement.

So far, it’s love
Edit 1/15/23: this speaker still sounds as great as the first time I played it. You should buy it.I’ve only had this for a few weeks but so far it’s love. I have had probably 10 different versions of Bose and JBL speakers, even ones with great reviews, and I have blown out the bass in all of them. After listening to music on my iphone for almost a year, I couldn’t take it anymore and coughed up the loot for this thing. Not only do I love its retro look, it’s sound is bomb. It is so clear and I’ve only had it up to like 5 on the volume scale because that’s loud enough. I actually have some hope that I may not destroy this one.

The Bottom. End is Impressive
I purchased this speaker to ise with my turntable and as a home stereo replacement. There were a few speakers the had better specs, namely the Aiwa Exos 9 and the Deep blue 3. I did Purchase the Aiwa. And as impressive as that speaker was for $150 less. It still couldn’t compare to the warmth the Woburn gave to the vocals in my music. And the Woburn have half as much power and fewer and smaller drivers has just as much low end. I actually preferred the low end on the Woburn because it was a tighter more well defined bass. That said, I highly recommend this speaker. I just wish it were about $100 less. The price may be justifiable but it won’t leave you feeling like you got a bargain.

Pleasantly Surprised
I don’t do product reviews ever. However when i bought this speaker i honestly was expecting that was cute and dainty. I honestly bought it because of the brand name. When i got it and plugged it in I was surprised. It’s sounds freaking dope. I’m a self proclaimed aficionado when it comes to sound. The lows are true with no waffling and the highs are not tinny at all. Sound is something I would have expected from a Bose or similar item..So as far as the branding is concerned. When you think Marshall you think amps and speakers (duh). The product finish is true to that branding and the quality is made of the same durable finish that those amps are speakers are made from.Nicely done.

Even with wifi glitches the Woburn II is outstanding
The sound quality on the Woburn II is outstanding. It can be described as rich and full. The bass is strong. The highs are crisp. The levels are loud. The only reason for the 4 Star review is that the app does not work and the wifi synch is slow and connection attempts frequently fail. In fact, in most instances one has to click the source button and cycle through all source options, reselect bluetooth, then click wake and then select the Woburn II in your app settings to get the wifi to connect. Even so, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend the unit.

You need this speaker!
I am a former professional trumpet player so I have a keen ear for audio quality. When it came time to replace my ancient Bose 901 and 501 speakers my son recommended I try a Bluetooth speaker. After much research, I chose the Marshall Woburn II. Setup was a breeze with the free Marshall app. Then I selected a song that I knew would demonstrate the speaker’s abilities: I had played for the recording. I hit the play button, and after a very little bit of fine tuning with the app’s equalizer, the music emanating from the Woburn II was as near a perfect rendition of the original recording as I’ve ever heard. It is important to remember that when you listen to live music, especially jazz, classical or vocal, it is not in stereo. It is from a single source, the stage. The acoustic detail f m this speaker is amazing. I could hear the subtle undertones of the string base. The middle range is just as it should be, and the highs are not shrieking or muddy. If you want to experience the wonder of listening to live music right in your own home, this speaker will do it.

amazing speaker
It is the best blue tooth speakerI have ever had. My JBL EXTREME which I paid oveer $300 was good but stopped working after using it bout 30 times. I have a couple of bose speakers which are ok, but this Marshall speaker is unbelievable, it makes the other speakers look like toys. The sound from the bass to the highs are crystal clear. I couldn’t imagine anything comparing to this speaker.

Incredible Sound and probably worth the money
It’s LOUD for it’s size! Bass is stronger than I expected and there isn’t much distortion at higher volume levels. Music (especially classic rock) sounds as good as it did when I was a kid. I’ve always wanted a vintage tube amplifier and sound system. This Marshall Woburn gives my ITunes music library a warmer, classic tone that I wasn’t expecting. It ain’t perfect, but it’s better than I’ve anything I’ve heard in years. I hate having to download the Marshall app to set this speaker up but it’s a minor inconvenience. I’d buy it again without hesitation!!!

I got a very good deal for $349 on sales. Really like it. I’ve been waiting for the deal for almost one year. Finally got this. The sound is just amazing. Compared to the other version, the frequency range is much lower down to 50Hz. Really love that and worth to wait.

BUYER BEWARE of forced standby mode — must manually reconnect every 20 min of silence
This speaker has deep, resonating, beautiful sound in the most timeless looking amp. I love it but the bluetooth constantly disconnecting is a total deal breaker and sad I need to return. Can confirm after contacting Marshall that the standby mode is NOT OPTIONAL. Writing to save others possible headache from finding out too late.

I haven’t heard better.
Update: 1/22 – regarding Bluetooth connection. Linking two of these together is a nightmare, lack of consistent connection. With one speaker, it’s perfectly fine.Overall this speaker is a beast. The sound is clear, even at high volume. It has the classic Marshall look as well. Bluetooth connection isn’t bad, just not perfect – but that is more to the technology of Bluetooth than a knock on Marshall. I’ll put it this way…I like them so much I’ve bought 3 of these.

Love it!
I have several smaller UE Bluetooth speakers but they just don’t fill the room. My wife complained so I complied. She had mentioned Bose but I am not rich. I read all the reviews on the Marshall Woburn 2 and I took a chance. The speaker came as described. I cranked it up and oh boy!, what a wonderful sounding speaker. It fits into our room nicely with its design. I bought it for my wife but I think I really bought it for me. The louder it is, the better it sounds!

Disappointed in sound quality
Nice looking speaker, would be nice if it had some type of handles on the sides to carry. The sound quality degrades and gets static the louder you listen to it. Which made me wonder if it was defective or that was just how it was going to sound. Plus you need to use the Marshall App or you won’t get the best sound quality as in this quote from the description on the Amazon website ” Use the Marshall Bluetooth app to customize your listening experience or control the music you’re listening to.Mains Frequency:50/60 Hz” what does to.mains frequency actually mean? To me it means you need to use the app to maintain the frequency on the speaker?? Plus right out of the box I had to do a firmware update which failed 4 times and was huge so make sure your phone is connected to a network if you can. Also bluetooth did cut out as mentioned in other posts, so I ended up returning it

Top notch quality of sound with nice design
Sound quality is awesome and design is outstanding! There might be cheaper options but none of them looks so good that’s why we decided to give it a try. We were concerned with other reviews regarding issues with bluetooth connectivity but we never noticed any disruptions. The only issue for us is that it does not work with iPhone, fortunately for us, we have also an Android device, so if you have only iOS devices – be sure to check if they’ve solved this issue before buying it.

Could’ve been perfect except the app killed the experience.
So let me start with this is my third marshall and as I already knew and expected it sounds awesome. It’s not going to blow any audiophiles away or anything but for an everyday listener its fantastic. So the real reason for 3 starts instead of 5 is marshall themselves. The app makes you download to even connect to the speaker the first time and must give it your location is unacceptable. Your charging me $500 for a speaker the transaction if I want it to be should be done once the item is received.Get the speaker if your in the market do what they ask and then delete the app. After that it’s awesome.

Sounds Great!
Audio Quality is great by my standards. Bluetooth connectivity is amazing. The speaker is on our first floor and I can control it from the Third Floor. My only complaint is when there are two Bluetooth devices that have been paired with the speaker one will “bump” the controlling device off or the speaker volume will increase dramatically. Our only recourse has been to turn the Bluetooth off on the phone that is not controlling the speaker.

Awesome Sound Fidelity
Years ago, I went through an audiophile phase where I bought, evaluated & listened to high end equipment. Eventually, I lost interest in analytical listening & got back to just enjoying the music. I settled on a vintage McIntosh amp & a pair of JM Reynaud speakers and that’s been my system for years. But, I moved into a tiny house & no longer have the luxury of space so I needed a smaller solution. In the past, I’ve used single Bluetooth speakers by Bose and Bowers & Wilkins. Decent sound but small & not a replacement for a good amp & speakers so I wanted something else. I came across a picture of a Marshall speaker in a high end Airbnb & started researching it. Most of the reviews were of high praise. Amazon warehouse had the Woburn III Bluetooth at a discount so I gave it a shot.It arrived in like new condition. Not a speck of dust or fingerprints. Setting it up was fairly straightforward although the mobile app is weak. Then I started playing it. I listen to a number of genres of music, rock, jazz, old school country, classical & podcasts. The first thing I noticed is how big the Woburn sounded, not at all like my previous Bluetooth speakers. For its size, it has a wide soundstage. The notes from low to high are all there & there’s a good separation of the instruments. Vocals are rich and bass is clean & thumping. I am incredibly happy with the sound fidelity. Is it as good as the McIntosh/JM Reynaud system? No. But it is damn close & I wouldn’t have expected it from a single speaker. The Woburn makes listening enjoyable and it doesn’t feel like I had to sacrifice fidelity for it to be the only stereo system in my little house. I recommend it without hesitation.

Honestly I was looking for something to setup my new garage with Jams.I have small and portable speaker except that was not going to cut it for wrenching etc. This Marshall Woburn 2 not just filled my needs, but exceeded all my expectations! The sound output considering the packaging is superb. I love my eargasm box accordingly because giGgItY does it perform wonderfully!I could not be happier with my purchase and I was lucky enough to catch a nice prime day deal that made the decision a bit easier to swallow. Blown Away!
This speaker does make a room come alive! I am familiar with Sonos, B&O, JBL and all the other Bluetooth speakers, that someone said on here all look like baby monitors :-). Of course, nothing beats a great stereo setup. But being an old Marshall fan – rock guitarist I gave these a try. WOW! The drums sounded like they were in the middle of the room! Incredible bass response. Any kind of headphone audiophile type rock sounds great! Very happy with this big fat heavy speaker!

Good sound, but the bluetooth app is terrible
so its required to download the bluetooth app to be able to use this device.(unless you have audio cable) I waited for half an hour for the Bluetooth app to be updated, only to then be instructed to go to the iPhone settings and connect the device manually. why the heck do we have to use the glitchy app?? great sound but terrible UX design.

Awesome speaker
Finally pulled the trigger on the Woburn II. No disappointment here. The looks of this speaker is killer with excellent quality and attention to detail. I bought the black one. The overall construction is solid and top notch. The sound is crystal clear and the amount of bass is right on. I have the speaker set up in my living room area which is about 440 sq/ft and keep the volume at just below half. The sound fills the room with incredible clarity. I’ve cranked the volume up to about 75% and it is incredibly loud with ZERO distortion. It’ll blow you out of the room for sure at that level or more. Setting up the app on my iPad was easy, except for the few times where it would say “update failed”. So I hit the “try again” button and it picked up where it left off until everything was set up with all the updates. Took about 10 minutes. When you power the speaker on and off, it plays a little guitar riff which I personally love. I listen to mostly alternative and rock and I’m hearing instrumentation in songs that I never really heard before. The overall sound detail with this speaker is excellent IMO. A+ all around to Marshall!

Wonderful Investment
For starters the styling is classic Marshall, the lettering on the front grille and the controls on top. The sound is boomy with the tone controls in the flat positions. Some suggestions…Download the Marshall app to your phone, it has a 5 band equalizer to help customize the sound relative to room acoustics. Leave plenty of space between the back of it and a wall. This helps alleviate boominess. It is a ported enclosure enabling the large drivers to operate effciently at low sound levels. Making these adjustments gives it incredible sound. It also has plenty of power to fill a room, and then some. The construction is sturdy and robust, weighing in just south of 20 pounds. Now the best part. It has RCA audio input jacks, my cable box has RCA audio output jacks. Given this , I knew the speaker could be used as a soundbar for my HDTV, watching cable broadcast channels. Also had a hunch that it could possibly be used for streaming on the HDTV…Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, etc. The trick is to access those apps through your cable box and not the HDTV. Soundbars typically have a floor mounted subwoofer. No subwoofer needed using this speaker.I am very pleased with this speaker and would highly recommend it, regardless of the price.

Best Bluetooth speaker ever
Spent 2 hrs playing jazz, rock, classic rock, foo fighters, instrumentals, quiet songs with vocals, and this speaker is amazing. I have a Klipsch speaker that cost $220. it sounds good until you play it side by side with the marshall. the klipsch is too bass heavy and the highs are muted and vocals suffer.but the Marshall excels in all aspects and genre of music. plus you can adjust the bass and treble.its expensive but dang it sounds good.Update. You have to install app on your phone, then run formware uodate. Took about 30 min. After rhat I could connect to PC. Otherwise only bluetooth worked.

Also have the Woburn I and wanted to love it, but doesn’t measure up.
I’m writing this review as someone who owns a Woburn I and a Stanmore I and purchased at Woburn II, so I think I can provide a pretty good side-by-side comparison. In fact, literally did just that. I have a Woburn I and a Stanmore I, both of which I love and rave about. When I got the original Woburn I didn’t know what to expect — the reviews were good, but that doesn’t always translate to in-home performance. I was blown away by the sound. We have a large open space where we set up the Woburn and this one Bluetooth speaker rocks the house. Dance parties, no problem. Want to listen to 90s rap with tons of bass, no problem. When the Woburn II came out, I thought, “it must be even better than the original.” I have to say that my recommendation is that if you want the best sounding Bluetooh speaker you’ve ever heard, get on Ebay and find yourself a Woburn I, which is what I did after selling this one second-hand.I thought maybe it was just room acoustics impacting the sound of the speaker, so I got my Woburn I, Stanmore I, and Woburn II, lined them all up, found some Dr. Dre, Phish, Dave Brubeck, and Beethoven, and ran the gamut of musical genres to see how they fared. The Woburn I still rocked the house with every genre. The original Stanmore came in second place, with just as much bass and high-end fidelity as my Woburn II (for considerably less money), while the Woburn II sounded pretty much on par with my Stanmore. The Bluetooth connection also gave me trouble. It would drop my phone all the time and hook up to my wife’s phone. Other times, the signal would try to take over and my phone would hook up to it even though it was on the other side of the house. There is also an incredibly annoying guitar chord sound every time you connect and disconnect a Bluetooth device. I’m all about rock-n-roll, and even played in bands for years, but that guitar sound drove me and my wife nuts. They should provide an easy way to turn that off through the app, but they don’t.So, as someone who has owned all three of these at the same time, and performed a side-by-side comparison, do yourself a favor and get a Woburn I. If you can’t find one, get a Stanmore I. Maybe the Woburn III will be better, but this version just doesn’t hold a candle to the original.

Our kids told us to turn it down!
My husband always wanted an “old school” Marshall Amp. He hates technology and didn’t want to use it. He told me there was NO WAY this speaker sounded like a traditional amp. He was gobsmacked when he played the first song! The sound quality is incredible. It is easy to carry around & take to your garage or backyard. It’s plug & play with the MP3 player. To use Bluetooth, you have to use the Marshall App from your phone. He likes it because it is so easy to use, and THAT says a lot coming from him. I love it because it made him so happy <3

Wow
I didn’t believe the reviews that this was more of a speaker for a reception hall or something. I love loud music and holy crap even at mid level this sucker was LOUD and clear. The bass is awesome and sorely missing from my other speakesMy neighbors are going to hate me lol. It was very well packaged and it is such a beautiful speaker. I have wanted one for years and since this is 2020, I thought, eff it, I am getting one for myself for my birthday.

Marshall is a great buy
I purchased the Woburn 2 and I love it, the sound is great for a small system. I like the fact it has a adjustable bass and treble feature so you can adjust it to your liking. Great little system if you are a urban apartment dweller and don’t have the room r for a proper sound system. You do have to be carful in buildings with thin walls, because it can get loud. The only knock I have is that from time to time the Bluetooth can pick up a neighbors phone call, and blast it loud. Scared the hell out of me. Lol!!

Excellent wireless speaker!
Easy to setup with the Marshall App. Sounds great! Sound will easily fill my 700 foot apt with volume mid-low. Could easily wake up the neighbors with volume mid-high!I use it mostly playing Spotify from my iPad via Bluetooth. Or sometimes connect from the 3.5mm aux to my iPod. Either way is easy to do, and sounds great. Using the Marshall App, I can easily switch the equalizer settings for whatever genre (rock, blues, jazz, country, latin, r&b…) of music I am playing. Its not exactly a cheap speaker. But it has performed excellent. Build quality feels solid, not like a cheap toy as some speakers feel. And it looks great next to my Marshall guitar amps!

Great sound in a pretty package
Great sound, beautiful product, produces a lot of volume when desired. I generally keep this on a high shelf in my kitchen, where I most use my music. For outdoors, all I do is take it down and face it out the patio door (as shown). Plenty of volume. Like all Bluetooth devices I’ve used, there are the occasional little hiccups (an example: stops playing sometimes when I get a message with an audio alert). But not big ones, which is a win in my book. Love this, would definitely recommend it.

Tight natural sound in a boss package
The Marshall folks have a winner here. The sound is balanced with a tight big bottom, crisp highs and natural midrange. The looks — boss and badass.Bluetooth technology continues to progress, but it’s still imperfect with the occasional glitch. The claim of “lossless sound” should be believed, however, especially when listening to lossless formats like Amazon HD Music, which is SO worth the extra coin.Bought a second Woburn II so I could pair them in stereo, and now I’ve doubled my pleasure. They really sound good on the patio when I’m bbq’ing.Buddy of mine did the same thing and he’s satisfied and tickled too.

Excellent sound
The speakers sound fantastic , the Bluetooth connection between the 2 speakers can be very frustrating . The company is good about customer support . When the 2 speakers are actually connected , the sound is fantastic . I wish the speakers could connect by a wire, it would be fantastic .

Great sound – Horrible App
One speaker has amazing sound. Pairing two with the Marshall app is garbage.
