Very low volume
Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice speaker BUT……volume isn’t what I expected at all. I don’t listen to music at what I consider high volume but I live in a 1000 sq ft home and if I wasn’t in the room with it, I was very disappointed. Beautiful cabinetry and quality but I returned due to the lack and f being able to do what I wanted with it

I have bought, tested, and returned a lot of bluetooth speakers on Amazon, and this speaker is PERFECT!!!If you are an audiophile, music producer, a perfectionist, or OCD when it comes to music, then you will not want to settle for anything less than this speaker.The bass response is super deep like 15 inch sub-woofers, and the highs are crystal clear with absolutely no distortion whatsoever at any volume. Not even a tiny hint of crackling or anything!!!When I listen to this speaker in my bedroom, I could feel the bass from across the room. And this speaker pushes A LOT of air out of the back bass port.The speaker can get super loud too!!! I hardly ever have to turn the speaker up past the halfway mark because of how loud it is.I mainly use this speaker all day everyday at work, on my forklift (and it fits perfectly on my forklift), in a loud warehouse, and this speaker still sounds perfect. There is no other word to describe it. It is just PERFECT. I am in love with it.The battery also lasts me for 2 8-hour shifts at work before I have to recharge it. If I forget to recharge it, I would plug it in for 30 minutes during lunch time, and the battery will fast charge to like 70%.The speaker is built like some heavy duty DJ gear. It looks like you are an ultra mobile DJ that is about to rock a party with this bluetooth speaker and some DJ decks. The volume, bass, and treble knobs feels like the knobs on some DJ decks too. And when I am listening to it, and adjusting the volume, bass, and treble knobs, it makes me feel like I am a DJ every time!!!All of my coworkers are always complimenting my speaker too, saying “It sounds really good. That thing is expensive!!!” Hahaha, like everyone loves it!!!I have watched tons of Youtube videos on “Best Bluetooth Speaker”, and read tons of articles on best bluetooth speakers, and I have bought and returned countless speakers that were supposed to be the best. I even bought the Audio Pro Bluetooth Speaker that won WhatHiFi’s award for best bluetooth speaker, and this speaker blows all of them out of the water!!! You could probably even use this speaker as monitors to produce music if you wanted to!!!I haven’t had any experience with Marshall amps before, but I have had Pioneer, and Numark Mixers and Decks and other DJ equipment, and you could tell just from the way this speaker is built, and from how perfect it sounds, that it was made by musicians for musicians…I love this speaker, and I would recommend it to all my family and friends, and everyone on the internet! If you are thinking about getting this, then do it. It is totally worth it.I give this speaker a 10 out of 10.P.S… A USB charging port on the back of the speaker to charge my phone would be nice… And also an SD card slot to play music files…

Big rich sound and a pretty big speaker
I own both the Kilburn II and the Stockwell II. Both sound really nice. The kilburn II looks and feels to be about twice as large as the Stockwell. The Kilburn has a rich sound and is a bit louder. I do find myself using the Kilburn more often because it does not take up as much space and is easier to move around. I like these speakers because they focus on sound, build and efficiency. I did not want Amazon listening to everything I say or listen to what I play.The sound can be a bit boomy but with the bass and treble controls, you can manage that pretty well. A “bug” is that the volume control is not very sensitive near the bottom and is really sensitive near the top. These have class “D” amplifiers. Very accurate and very efficient, but take a little to get used to. It is a definite feature, but some people may think it is a fault…it isn’tI think that because they focus on making the best sound, that they really do. Highly recommended especially if you need to fill a big space with sound. If you are using in a dorm room or bed room, I would lean toward the Stockwell II.

Guitar amp look a like
Bought this to replace a cheap $35 speaker- was not disappointed. Quality throughout entire speaker. Knobs are crisp, satisfying click turning on and off- feel very good. Cabinet and handle do look identical to a Marshall guitar amp, which I like very much. The red velvet on back side of carry strap was a nice touch. The sound is excellent, the sweet spot is 1/2 to 3/4 volume- that’s where you know the extra money went compared to other cheaper bluetooth speakers. Vibrates my desk at work 1/2 volume, it plays crystal clean all the way to 100 percent volume. Battery is nice, does 12 to 14 hours on a charge going between 1/2 to 3/4 volume. Bottom line I’m sure there are speakers louder for cheaper but this one has the entire package- looks cool and sounds great. If you got the cash buy it, it will last you a long time and put a smile on your face.

Great until it stops.
I prefer to write my reviews after I have had the product for awhile. Loved the speaker for about a year. Then one day the sound stopped— even though the speaker was connected and the song on Spotify, Audible or iTunes kept playing. I looked it up online and it’s a common problem. The speaker just stops emitting any sound.It’s a cool little speaker with great sound but I would look up that issue before you buy. My friend has one going on 5 years or so.So 3 stars is for the short life. I am so sad. And I am finally giving up and throwing it away.

Great sound and looks
OK, another update, especially after reading some of the negative reviews regarding the quality of this speaker. After 2 years of regular and constant use, the Kilburn 2 sounds like it did the day that I got it. I have had zero problems with it and I think that the sound is excellent. I have a component system with much better equipment that I listen to, but sometimes I will just put on the K2 because it is just easier and I can carry it around the house with me. I still love it!This is an update after one year of listening. I have zero problems with this speaker and use it as much as I can. It got me through Covid prison and it performs like new. Amazing speaker with great sound. Enough said.I upgraded my Bluetooth speaker to this Marshall and I couldn’t be happier. The sound is rich and deep and I have been using this almost every day for the last several weeks. I even used it for an outdoor movie and the sound was excellent for that too.I didn’t care about the Alexa capability, so that was a non-issue. Battery life is so good that I can literally play this all day. Great speaker!

Worth it
Why did I wait so long to order the speaker? Just buy it worth every penny. I wasted 5 months going back and forth debating between Marshall Kilburn, JBL- (was recommended) and others. I am so glad I went with Marshall’s brand instead of the recommendation. I did my own research; Marshalls have been around forever they know what they are doing.I normally would not spend so much on a speaker. I was originally going to order the Stockwell but I decided to invest in the Kilburn and treat myself. After this long year to have something I enjoyed listening to and could not wait to turn on. One full charge lasted a few weeks I used the speaker every day for several hours Awesome Sauce! This little thing packs a punch. Amazing! I listen to all varieties of music love how you have control over the speaker. Having a handle on the speaker is a plus easy to carry from one room to another or grab to go out to the park, BBQ or yard. Bottom line, sounds amazing, no regrets.

Don’t do it.. but if you do..
So I got the after hearing a Marshall speaker in my hotel room I was expecting a lot and I was hoping for a lot so I spent the money and I got it and honestly I was quite disappointed. I really wanted that big deep Marshall sound and that’s not what I got what I got was the Marshall sound but in a much smaller capacity than I expected now if you are operating it in a small space and you put it in a corner. It’ll be great. But if you want to play it in a room and be loud, it does not fit the mark.Then I returned it to Amazon and come to find out when you return this. You have to wait for at least three weeks before you’re refunded. Quite silly if you asked me and not disclosed at all. So if you get it and you want to try it out and you return it, make sure that you know you will be out of that money for at least three weeks. So just FYI if you want to get it, I’d recommend looking other places then you can give it a try without all the hassle.

volume level is too low
Very nice design, the knobs for the volume, bass and treble are a big pluses. Bass is deep and rich. However I was disappointing in how low the sound output is. Sound output is almost like a whisper until you crank the volume knob over 50%. I put this in a small bedroom, tested it against my old mini Pyle BT speaker, which is about 10th of the size of the Kilburn and the Pyle sound much louder at same volume level. Ended up returned the Kilburn.

Great Bluetooth Speaker That Could Have Easily Been Much Better
I originally purchased & received this on Aug 18, 2020, via Amazon as the seller & shipper. Less than 2 weeks later it officially DIED. It worked fine (and sounded great) when I first received it but something happened to it and it will no longer power on. I send it back to Amazon for a replacement and they promptly sent me another one. The second one has worked flawlessly and I assume, as is attended. This speaker has amazing sound and great range. I love that it can pump out both highs and lows from such a small footprint.With that said, I do have A COUPLE OF THINGS TO NOTE … I have both the original KILBURN and this KILBURN II so I’m able to compare them actively side-by-side. There are pros & cons to both models. The original has the “old school” look & feel of the vintage Marshall amps as the leatherette appears more genuine, as does the gold-tone touches. It also seems to have a bit of more of a warmer tone to it. The new KILBURN II seems to be built to be more sturdy and to withstand more knocks/dings with its plastic corners and full metal grille. While it just looks less like a vintage Marshall amp, it does have a rear-firing speaker that gives it an advantage over the original model and supplies a more spacious sound. The one and ALMOST DEAL-BREAKER feature/bug on this new model is that it has a power-saving feature that cuts the speaker completely off (if not in use) seemingly after about 7-9 minutes. At that point, you have to physically go to the speaker and touch one of the buttons on it to “wake” it up. This might could be forgiven if you were allowed to control the sleep time via an app or onboard setting but that it currently not an option. For those of you that think “That doesn’t sound like such a big deal” … trust me, it is. It’s a pain in the ass it the speaker isn’t within arms length. My last complaint is that Marshall has no viable app to control the functionality of this speaker. If they did, I would have given a rating of 5 stars as I would assume that I could have controlled all of its features. Currently that’s not the case.

Marshall Is a Classic For a Reason
I love this speaker and use it all the time! Sound quality is unmatched, and it’s durability is much better than other bluetooth speakers on the market. Bass on this is superb!Only downside is that you can’t control certain settings on this. For example, if the devices recognizes other BT devices from the past, it plays a guitar chord when it recognizes it…and it’ll keep doing it…even if someone is actively playing something on it. Drives me CRAZY! So I always tell people to forget the device, not just disconnect. That same guitar chord plays when the battery is like 30% or less, which is also annoying. Besides those issues, it’s a great speaker.

I listen to rock music on expensive HiFi equipment. I love Marshalls, but I was massively disappointed with the sound quality of this Bluetooth speaker. My music didn’t sound right on this. I tried adjusting the tone, but I need a midrange knob and dials that go to -11 on the bass. After 20 minutes of listening to my favorite songs, I packed it up and filed a return. I’ve heard better sound out of $50 Bluetooth speakers.

Well I’ve had a lot of different bluetooth speakers and headphones. I don’t think I can say this is my favorite but it’s the one I’m keeping.Many others are lacking in some way, too big, too quiet, not enough bass, treble is too bright, etc. I know of other louder overall speakers. I know of ones with more bass, longer battery life… Etc. However this is the right amount of sound output, sound quality, battery life, portability, ease of use etc for ME. My lady gets frustrated with buttons and complicated pairing methods. Analog dials are easy for anyone and everyone.Sound it is a nice middle ground on a lot of things. It’s not over boosted anywhere and it sounds warm and natural to me.Loudness it goes just short of 100db. Come on… It’s a portable speaker. If you need more than that then a portable speaker probably isn’t what you really need any how.Distortion is minimal if non existent. Crank it up and let the good times roll. It’s a little expensive compared to other options but I like it’s build quality, I like it’s asthetic, I like its sound. It feels well made to me. It looks cool and a little different. I love how portable it is. 5 pounds is perfect. Grab, go, set, enjoy. Just that simple. I’ve tried all 3 of their bluetooth speakers and this is really the Goldie Locks of the set for me. Not too quiet, not too big, JUST RIGHT!Check it out. Not for you OK no problem all our ears are different but especially as a refurb this was a dealio! Get it. Buy it. Do it now! GET TO THE CHOPPA! DO IT NOW!

Quality and worth the price
Definitely don’t judge the speaker by it’s size when you first see it. Lol I did and I was mistaken. The sound quality is awesome and it’s perfect for my apartment. I wanted to buy a better speaker to piss off my noisy upstairs neighbor and it worked. The speaker worked so good that she called the cops on me and THAT’S what I call success.

I listened to it at Best Buy before buying it via Amazon (saved $100), sounds really good. Love how you can ajust the Bass/Treble to you liking, not the manufacturers liking. Looks good. My oldest son is jealous. Battery life is great also. Only improvement if I could would be to have a spot to store the charging cord. So dont lose it. But yes I glad I pick it.

Classic Marshall Kilburn 2 Speaker Great bass and Sound
Purchased Kilburn 2 speaker. My original order was canceled since Amazon lockers were full. Originally purchased Marshall Emberton and Emberton 2, which had bluetooth issues, low volume with loss of bass at max volume. Very happy with purchase. Despite some negative reviews, Marshall Kilburn 2 has amazing bass, crisp treble with classic features as bass, treble and volume knobs. Frequency ranges 52-25000 Hz with 100 decibels at one meter. From my experience, bass could go lower, louder without audible distortion. Measured up to 100 dB with a decibel app. Sound is robust and doesn’t distort at max level. Given Amazon price, it is a steal. Some customers reported speaker brick and bluetooth issues. So far, Bluetooth 5.0 works very well with multi-hosting two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. Beautiful black and gold design with metallic grille and 20-watt woofer and dual 8-watt tweeters still portable 5-6 pounds. 4 stars for a really great speaker; however, if Kilburn 2 were 100% waterproof with updated bluetooth, USB-C charging and stacking capabilities with other Marshall speakers, I would rate 5 stars. Battery life is reported 20 hours. So far, at moderate volume, I’m seeing solid 15 hours. Kilburn 2 cannot charge on the go and uses an outlet. Highly recommended for outdoor parties and at lower volume indoors. Though not a soundbar, Kilburn 2 can connect to smart TV or to the firestick. Streaming almost sounds like cinema.

Un sin sabor por la batería
Hola, según las especificaciones la batería dura hasta 20 horas. Lastimosamente no veo que cumpla esa característica ya que no lo puedo hacer por más de 8 horas y ya la batería esta para recargar
