Sounds great but loses connection easily
These sound great, but the earbuds lose wireless connection easily and then have to reconnect during usage.I’m only sitting 5-8 feet away from my PS5 during usage. I sure hope Sony does a software fix for these expensive earbuds.

They hurt
Sound is very good, I really wanted to like these, but they really hurt my ears with every tip set. Even tried some replacement tips I had in a few sizes — nothing worked. Ugh.

More Immersive Gaming Experience
Excellent audio for cinematic games like God of War Ragnorok, Last of Us series, Horizon Series, Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman 2, Call of Duty, Final Fantasy series, etc. Also great for watching 4k HDR movies with dobly atomos audioThese provide more clear vs exaggerated soundsA huge step up from their PULSE 3D Wireless Headset in terms of audio (especially with the planar magnetic driver technology) and more comfortable to wear (Pulse 3d put too much pressure on sides of my head). Only thing I miss about the Pulse 3d is able to charge via USB-C cord from powerbank when battery running lowStill supports 3D audioAudio is best when you play sounds as if it were a home theater system but condensed down into small earbudsGood for music, but you won’t get a lot of bass. There is no 3rd party app to adjust equalizers. Not really meant for music as there’s no physical skip track or replay/back track optionThere is active noise cancelling. Will detect voice only. If you’re eating Doritos or flaming hot Cheetos the person on the other end won’t hear it. Also doesn’t distort your high pitch screamsThese earbuds are large compared to other earbuds in the market. There is a weight adjustment you have to get used to especially when having them on for a prolonged period of time. But overall much more comfortable than headsets you put over your headPhysical buttons include a sync button and volume controls. No mute button unfortunately. When gaming on PS5 you can use the Duel Sense Controller’s mute button. On other devices you must mute option on that device. When pressing the physical buttons you must hold the earbud in place with a thumb then press the button you want or else there’s a chance of earbuds falling off your ears. You can have multiple devices synced at the same time. One for USB dongle (connected to PS5, PC or other devices that supports USB) and Bluetooth. You can game, and answer a call from your smartphone at the same time. You can also hear both audio at the same time also, so you can be gaming and hear gaming guide/podcasts/music from your phone/tablet/etc at the same timeIf you have multiple link adapters (sold separately, one comes with earbuds) you can press the sync button to switch between them with up to 8 totalCase it comes with is a bit bulky. Love the sliding feature (compared to clam shell) much more ergonomic. It can charge the earbuds multiple times. No wireless charging on the case. Wish it had gripy bottom to prevent it from sliding on my desk. Also would be nice if there was a link adapter storage slot on the case seeing the large sizeOverall, excellent dedicated gaming headset. Greatly enhances your gaming experience. You can use it for music but its not as great as other headphone

Disconnecting time to time is bad
Sound quality? I don’t know to be honest. It sounded good to me. But it keeps on disconnecting itself from the console and connecting right back up is something that Sony needs to fix immediately.Update: In order to solve this issue, you will have to buy USB C to USB A adapter and put Link adapter to USB C port. I tested couple of times and it had zero disconnection. How sony couldn’t make link adapter with USB C like everybody else?? Here is one I bought.Update 2: The disconnecting issue keeps happening even though I contacted the link adapter in the USB C port. I also noticed that after a few hours gaming session, I couldn’t hear some of the sounds.. I got Inzone new earbuds and as soon as I connected, I realized that Pulse Explorer didn’t have any bass sound. I am returning PE.

Sound great
Super easy to connect to the portal and everything else. Fit very good out of the box. But don’t buy over 199.00. The scalpers are out to making a mint on these. Which is so so wrong, something should be done. Worth the 199.00 dollars.

Connectivity is trash
The sound quality is good; however, they keep disconnecting and reconnecting all the time. This is really annoying. I think this is a problem with playstation link. I would not recomment buying them.

Sony banking on brand name
Both earbuds just have a volume up or down button. One should at least have gamechat volume. Can’t adjust EQ settings. No Mute button. No Noise cancelling. Barely if any bass. I really feel like Sony is just banking on their brand to sell these. There are better earbuds for a fraction of the price. Maybe if these were $99 they’d be much more enticing.

Terrible sound quality
I’ll keep it short – Do not waste your money. The sound quality of these earbuds is absolutely horrible.

Solid but compromises for new tech
Wireless planar magnetic drivers are doing their job and are excellent for the price point. To the other reviews that are claiming they are subpar, they may have the earbuds on upside down as there are no clear instructions or images of their proper orientation.Battery life is on par with my AirPod Pros but the charging case is disappointing. It feels cheap and at this price point, you’d think the USB-C port would do more than charge the case. Connectivity is quick with the Link adapter but not having that built into the charging case seems like an oversight. (Or compromise) However, range isn’t great. My pair was losing connection to the adapter just 10-15 ft away.Comfort WILL vary per person. These are fairly lightweight but the odd design can make contact with parts of your ear causing discomfort. Like mentioned earlier, there’s no easy way to see which way these go on. Just have to almost finagle it onto your ear.For the price and tech it comes with, these are great compared to other wireless planar earbuds. These do not replace more everyday, comfortable earbuds like AirPods or even other Sony earbuds but if you’re looking for quality, these hit.

Fantastic for PS5
For gaming/PS5:10/10 the sound quality is superb, and earbuds make gaming with headphones easy. I’d rather play with these on for the experience, if I’m playing with no one watching. The sound, to me, reminded me of IMAX/home theater setups worth multi-thousands of dollars. If a game has good sound engineering the headphones shine baby. Played Tekken 8 with these on and I was boppin.Non-PS5 usage:7/10. Explores are very much AirPods 1.0. I’ve noticed noise cancelling makes headphones sound louder, I imagine it’s because of the closer to 0 background noise makes even the slightest sound louder. Anyway, without it Explores need to be cranked to at least 70%. The sound is still great, I could take these to the gym and use them easily, or go on walks. It’s not the best but it gets the job done.Overall8.5/10For a gen 1 these are amazing, and using with PS5 changes the experience. Do I see them making a more expensive/Pro version down the line? Totally. I’d recommend these for 1) gaming, 2) everyday use is a side bonus. I plan on leaving these at home for the PS5 and using the Sony WF-1000 or AirPods Pro II for gym/daily

Not very good for a premium price
I’ll start off by saying that I liked being able to connect to my PS5 and other Bluetooth devices simultaneously. However, for $200 I expected better audio. These do not sound great honestly. I have a pair of moon drop sparks I paid $80 for that sound much better. On to connectivity, they worked fine with my phone no issues with connection but my PS5 constantly dropped them. On day 3 whenever I sat down on my couch they would disconnect and only reconnect when I would stand near my console.Had a friend who said my mic quality wasn’t that great either, said my actual headset sounds a lot better.
