Loud but not much detail lacks sd card slot

It’s good for being outside and loud. But there is no audio separation or detail in the vocal and instrumentals. Mids and highs are not good. But the biggest issue is the lack of ad card slot. It needs a sd card slot for 2024 for mp3 files. Bluetooth is a limitation. SD cards are the future.

    Great sound, great for outdoors

Clear powerful sound, was surprised how much space it filled inside and how far it reached outside. Portability is a great advantage, can definitely see us taking it to the beach or put it in the pool in the backyard. We have a smaller Soundcore speaker which is great also, Anker is known for its quality and we are glad it is represented well in Soundcore.

Plus puissante que sa grande sœur!

Wow!!!

    Boom’s the word

I purchased the Boom 2 and thought this would be great for larger events.. the power is pure. I like to use the equalizer to customize the sound. The Plus has that little extra oomph when you need it. Both of these speakers are great units. Most folks can make great use of the Boom 2 as it provides plenty of sound and base. Great for listening at lower levels to with that rich depth of base sound. The Plus shines at higher volume where you are looking to rattle some windows and still be able to appreciate the depth of the tunes.Build quality is excellent and the sound/bass and weight ratio is excellent for both units.

    Wow Wow Wow

I have the motion Boom Plus and all I can say, there is no comparison between the both….The Bass on the Boom 2 Plus smashes the Boom Plus clean out of the water, the treble and the mids are spot on and the lighting effects are awesome.Boom 2 Plus is bigger and heavier slightly,I ordered the blue version and it looks amazing and the misses loves it,as we both love our music.I will buy her one on her birthday,so we can pair them both up together and have double the Wow Wow factor.Definitely can recommend this amazing looking and awesome speaker.Sound is incredible, honestly,I can not praise this enough, well done Sound core for yet another amazing speaker.

    Preis/Leistung

    Spectacular!!!!

I cannot believe how awesome this speaker is. It gives off a huge thumping amount of bass and doesn’t distort as you pump up the volume. Highly customisable EQ also in the app (if you want different listening modes). The overall sound stage and clarity is excellent and for £199, I’m amazed!!! Well done Soundcore!! 100% recommend to anyone.

Not a $100 upgrade over previous version

The media could not be loaded.

Do not pay $250 or $200 for this. I will explain why.1st it’s not worth $100 upgrade over the previous version. That would mean that we should be getting $100 worth of more sound with the new version. Hear me out, so if you buy anything last year and it’s a newer version when it comes to speakers usually it’s about a $10-$50 price increase over the previous version and NORMALLY it’s the same price as last year because then your venturing in to a whole new different item with a different price bracket. That’s negative rating there.I have the previous motion boom plus and for a while it’s been amazing and I thought that this would be an even better speaker since it was so highly recommended and so on. So I purchased it. And received it. And here we go…So this version is much louder as in it can be annoyingly loud. That’s great and all but the thing is that there seems to be an emphasis on mid vocal range for loudness and it lacks dare I say the bass to match the mids and the highs are not as crispy as the previous version. So it’s crazy to think that for $100 more the speaker sound quality has not improved if anything it has degraded since the sound is unbalanced. The EQ adjustments assist a little with balancing the sound a bit but then you’re reducing some of the sound volume that comes with it.I feel like the speaker is almost battling to keep up with its self. Another negative. .It is louder than the previous motion boom plus. It is heavier as well and bigger. It depends who you ask if those are upgrades. The bass is punchier but like I said the highs are not as crispy to match the rest of the sound stage. Could you add a second set of tweeters to the next version? That was a negative there.Like EQ on earbuds, the highs can be adjusted and balanced so why not make the speaker with better highs and louder highs and then let the user adjust them with the EQ. It’s 2024 and by now even grandpa knows how to navigate an app.If you are keeping the previous version and want to pair the new one with the old one the soundstage definitely improves because it’s using the clarity of the older version to balance out the loud mids of the new version.Raising the EQ band of the highs all the way up doesn’t do much to improve the highs of instruments and high hats and drums.I paired two soundcore mini 3 pros and compared them to this speaker and the two mini 3 pros sounded so much cleaner. Anker, common you know how to do this right so why did you release the speaker without sound testing. So for those wondering if you should buy this version or the previous one, save your money seriously. Buy the motion boom plus. If you are wondering if you should upgrade to this version well if you want RGB lights and a heavier more robust build speaker get this one. If you are wondering if this one is better overall than the last version, yes it is overall better but here is the thing… not better overall in sound QUALITY.Anker is a good company and I’m sure they will get this right. Next time… I hope. Now give me back $100 for fooling me.Oh and 1 more thing, perhaps this can be fixed with a firmware update? We shall see.

Packaging makes me think it’s used

The Boom 2 Plus looks new still, but I’m skeptical because the manufactuer’s box was torn open already. The amazon packaging also looks like it was put together with old tape to hold the box closed. The boom 2 connects via bluetooth without issue and sounds decent. Only time will tell if this has been abused before I got it. This was bought on its relas

I absolutely love this speaker!! It has strong but not noisy bass, better than my former JBL. The side lights are shining and beautifully dancing with the melody. Cannot wait to use it at my next outdoor party.

Battery life is not even close to great

Sounds greats but for $250 definitely not worth it died to quickly did not even get 4 hours of battery life should have kept my Tribit Stormbox Blast at least that one lasts a full 8 hour shift and still has juice left going to pack this up and return it

This is a fun Bluetooth speaker!

For starters, this is the loudest Bluetooth speaker I have ever owned. It is a bit heavy and large but still easy to carry and store. I like the shape and design and it feels solid. The plastic has a nice mat finish that doesn’t pick up fingerprints or dirt easy. I’m not gonna lie, the RGB on the sides is pretty sick when the boom vibrates the subs. My friend has a larger speaker that costs almost twice as much and this Boom 2 Plus sounded like it was in the same class. The bass is really good, not quite as low, but most definitely passable. I just leave the bass boost on. I think EDM style bass sounded best where as instrumental and hip hop were ok but more pressed together and not quite as clear as my friends in the low mids. The EQ app is good though and you can get some pretty good wave forms besides just blasting bass, but blasting bass is pretty much what this speaker is for! I like the square design of the Boom 2 way more than the round design of my friends. When you throw the boom 2 in the water, the speakers float upright and don’t roll around, which is actually really great at the beach. This will float in the waves right next to me and not get all muffled, which I think is a really cool because that is why I never bring my round one in the water. So ya, I would grab this speaker to go have fun at the beach over my other ones. The battery life seems long enough because I kept it blasting all afternoon. The included charging wire is pretty small but that is really my only gripe. This is 100% my new beach speaker.

Very good but price point too high

I very much enjoy Soundcore products having multiple earbuds (favorite sport x10). I’ve always admired the quality products at a reasonable price. I ordered the Boom 2 plus for $250. As good of a speaker as it is the price point knocks this down a couple stars. I think $200 a fair price but there are better boxes out there for $250. I’ll probably return and get JBL or Tribit.

    Plenty of Bass

Okay this is my new favorite toy in the house and in the outdoors. The sound quality is great and the LED animation settings are great. You get everything from random flashes to color organ tuned to the music. It can play the hardest of rock and the softest of classical music with equal clarity. The box doesn’t way much at all, it would be comfortable to cart along for any distance you would care to walk.Battery life is longer than I’ve tested it yet. My longest stint with the volume up was 14 hours and it was still going strong. The charging feature is limited to 10W so don’t expect a fast charge but that’s not the primary use I have for it, I just like enjoying my music wherever I am.The sound quality is fantastic for the price. And since it’s a IPX7 rated unit, I’ve got zero worries when I off road in the mud with it up and running. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one too!

    WOW.

FYI: This is a boom-box sized & shaped bluetooth audio speaker unit with rechargeable battery power, and an integrated, sound-synced light feature.WINS: We’ve ordered Soundcore products in the past – mostly compact bluetooth speakers that are often used as replacement for computer speakers, but that produce enough quality sound to be used as an outdoor supplement to our indoor system. That is, for guests to listen to at parties & gatherings….As great as the sound is on our current little brick-shaped Soundcore speakers, THIS one blows them out of the water. Its sound is incredible, and if you really need bass, this has it.FAILS: Just please remember your neighbors don’t need the bass in THEIR living rooms. Do only enough for YOU and no greater! Speaker

This is a pretty cool outdoor speaker. I haven’t used it as a power bank. I don’t care about the lights, but it works. The strap is comfortable and the handle is another easy carrying option. It seems to hold a charge well and last a decent amount of time. It’s nice not having to charge it super often. I haven’t tried abusing it, but it does seem pretty durable and water & sand resistant. I’m hesitant to really keep it in water long, but it actually floated for a bit before I took it out and dried it off. It connects via Bluetooth reliably and consistently. The sound quality is good for the price and size/setup. It won’t blow you away like a 7 speaker surround sound audiophile level setup, but this is a single handy unit for a not astronomical price. This won’t bump bass harder than a nice bose or bang & olufson, but this is also much much cheaper than those. For most people’s needs, this is plenty. Just don’t expect a Miami bass or Jamaican party from this little guy. This is a great value for a speaker. It’s durable, easy to use, and the sound quality is good enough for most people. If I really want something more seriously loud, I’ll hook up my subs or amp.

    Great speaker

The best speaker I’ve ever bought. It sounds amazing and I love the base.2 days after getting this bad boy I was driving around in a golf cart and it slid out, as soon as I heard it hit the street my heart dropped and I break as fast as I could. I ran to pick it up to see how bad the damage was and dang this thing took the hit like a champ, it had some scratches on the edge where it hit, but other then that it’s like nothing happened at all

    BIG sound!

I was pretty surprised by this speaker. Wasn’t sure what to expect, as I had not heard of the brand before. First impression was that the bass is huge! Bigger bass sound than any other portable speaker I have. Sound quality overall is good enough at this price range. App is fine…nothing really that special or unique. Has different EQ settings and such.Volume is great. Gets quite loud. I have not tried anything crazy loud yet, but it is loud enough for me.Great portable speaker!

Fantastic Outdoor Speaker – My friend loves it!

Purchased this as a gift for a good friend, and it has been a hit! He really likes the ink blue color and side lights on the speaker. The sound quality is great, my friend is impressed by the deep bass. Also, there is no noticeable distortion even at a high volume, making it ideal for outdoor gatherings. Despite its solid build, it is easy to carry around with the strap it comes with. Highly recommended!

The sound quality is beyond 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This boom box blows all the other boom boxes away! The sound quality makes me feel like at the concert, immersed in the music. The speaker has a nice weight to it, non cheap feeling nor too heavy, it came with a carry strap and an AUX cord, easy to read instructions, the optional light presentation is always a fun little feature, and the Bluetooth connects very easily with no issues. I love being able to just charge it up and go allowing us to have outdoor music, dancing, and fun. This would make an excellent gift and I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Definitely a quality speaker for the price

Great product, 140W, 40hz deep bass, 20hrs playtime, 30w fast charge, built in power bank, 2 drivers at 50w each, 2 tweeters at 20w each, the bass is insane compared to the boom 2 and old boom lineup. 250$ is reasonable. Got free earbuds if bought through their website.. SOME DONT READ FINE PRINT

    Promo code did not work.

I preordered the Boom 2 a few months back and I love it. They decided to come out with this so I signed up for the preorder and, once the day comes I never got my promo code. The next day the code finally comes and just like another person said it did not work. I wanted to try this one and see how it compared to the Boom 2 but, $250 seems too much for a speaker this size when for $30 more you can get a bigger JBL L100.

Good, but not everything its hyped up to be.

It’s no JBL Boombox 3, but not far off. The deep bass (45hz and below) needs to be boosted more. The app EQ isn’t capable enough of fixing that. Other than that it’s powerful and has ‘good’ sound. The included USB C to C charging cable is way too short. I think $250 is too much for this, $200 would make more sense.Update: I was contacted by Soundcore’s awesome support team and they worked with me to improve my experience. For that I am bringing my rating to 4/5 stars.

**Soundcore Boom 2 Plus: 1999 Called, It Wants Its Subs Back!**This little speaker took me right back to 1999, when my trunk was packed with 3 JL W7 12-inch subs shaking the neighborhood. A top choice for outdoor entertainment experience

Firstly, the sound quality is exceptional, especially the low tones which come through with depth and clarity. Secondly, the design is sleek and modern. One of the coolest features of the speaker is its synchronized lighting. So I think it’s a standout choice for music lovers.

Best bang for buck speaker ever.

This product blew me away and then some! I have had more expensive JBL/Sony/UE speakers (even at double this price) that don’t come close to the quality of sound this thing is putting out. With the code i had, this speaker cost 210$ and I am blown away. Even the app is super intuitive and fun to play around with. 100 percent would recommend over and over.

I was very pleased with the boom 2 until I got my hands on this one & man does this thing bump. You can’t go wrong with either one but this one is louder & can get deeper, which I like. All Im hoping for is that Allan Ross gets one so we can get a custom eq.

Worst packaging experience. The Amazon box is perfectly fine but as you can see from my video, the item box is destroyed. No one had the common courtesy to replace it or simply tape the box up. So far I don’t see any physical damage but still need to use it to see if there’s any issues while playing.I’ve been buying Soundcore’s speakers, headphones and earbuds and their pricing and quality are very good.

Great low and mid frequency response

I have played with some low, mid and high frequency sound to check how this speaker response against the actual frequency. In one word, wow!!! Impressed. You have to keep it in mind that anything lower than 45hz, that is difficult to hear for human being. I have started sound checking from 30hz and I felt it, unbelievable. Then I played 40hz, I was able hear the sound and felt huge vibration on my table. Also saw the passive radiator’s dancing. Then tested up to 150hz. All the responses was near perfect. I have another sound system, that is a combination of 2 KRK Rokit 7 G4 and 1 very powerful SVS SB-1000 Pro Sealed subwoofer. So it was easy to compare these tests for me.This speaker has a great option i.e. Custom EQ. You can tune the sound by the mobile App. Very useful.I suggest to use the custom EQ with Bass boost on.So what I like:1. A complete low frequency response which down to 40hz as advertise. Of course this thing is really excellent for those who loves bass or beat or base whatever you call it.2. Perfect mid tone, although not top notch.3. Highs are also excellent, again not top notch. But you cannot expect too much from such a small box as well as budget.4. Excellent battery life, although I didn’t test all the way. But after using couple of hours, I didn’t notice any fall of the battery bar. Superb.5. I didn’t check water proof capabilities. But seems greatly sealed.6. Solid construction and of course light weight. Finally, the seller, they are really responsive and caring. I returned 1st one due to App connectivity issue via Bluetooth and ordered another one. When I ordered 1st one, there was promotional offer for getting Anker 30watt charger with no cost. But I forgot to include that one in my cart. I contacted the seller. Seller already sent me the charger separately, although when I ordered second time, at time there was no any promotional offer. Thanks to the seller for the great service.Final words, if you look for a portable all rounder speaker with great bass, very good to excellent clarity, excellent battery life under $400, this time, I do not see any alternative. 100% recommended.

A Speaker to Surpass the Stormbox Blast

They did it. The first Motion Boom Plus was thier best overall sounding speaker with the most bass, but it couldn’t quite match the Tribit Stormbox Blast. I can say now that thanks to its larger size and bigger power output, this speaker is the new favorite in town. It’s got deeper, bigger bass and can get a lot louder than the Blast. Highs and mids can both be adjusted to your preference so those are pretty much the same. Slightly fuller sound thanks to bigger woofers with a higher power output. 140w vs 90w peak. It weighs less than the Blast and I think looks a little better too. Never cared for the led lights on the front of the Blast. There are about 8 different lighting options each with the ability to choose a custom color pallette and you can dim or turn them off completely.Compared to Soundcore’s other offerings, it is of course the king of litter this size or below. I was a little surprised how much bigger and little heavier it is than the original Boom Plus, so might be something to consider. If you are looking for a more portable speaker the new Boom 2 is an impressive alternative. Nothing else will rumble your surroundings as much as the Boom 2 Plus though. The only speaker that does something better in my opinion would be the X600. Because of the way the speakers are angled it really does an amazing job of giving an open soundstage I haven’t found in any other single bluetooth speaker. The price of $250 for this speaker does feel maybe a tad high considering I can get the Stormbox Blast for $200 or less (I got mine for $150 on sale), but it is still less than say the JBl Boombox or Sony Ult Field 7 for roughly the same performance. It also looks and feels quite a bit more premium than first Boom Plus.Overall while the price might be a tad higher than what I’m used to from Soundcore, it’s bigger more premium all around speaker than the original with sound quality a bass output that beats the Blast. I highly recommend.

    amazing!

i had the motion boom plus before this and decided to upgrade when i saw they were making a new one. definitely worth it! it gets louder and has more deeper bass than the older one. and the lighting on this is really cool and customizable! and the boom 2 pluses sound barely compresses at high volumes unlike the old one that compressed a lot after 60 percent volume. and got the motion 100 free when i bought this. definitely recommend!

    So… Bear with me OK?

I have a boombox 2. I knew this thing wasn’t going to be a “JBL killer”. I just kinda wanted something close-ish with less weight.Anyhow, after some shenanigans on my part to get the cor I wanted, I found myself in a great spot to compare this speaker to my boombox 2 out back on the pool deck.I went through quite a few songs doing an A/B comparison and immediately determined that the Boombox 2 had way more deep bass. But then my wife started saying that the Soundcore sounded better on the 80s tracks. I kinda had to agree with her as the JBL was missing a lot of mid bass.I told my wife that the JBL was still a much better speaker because it held on to the lower bass much better at all volume levels above 60% or so. I wasn’t wrong but… As I listened to a lot more variety of music, I started to realize something… This soundcore was actually more pleasant to my ears from about 60hz and up.This was VERY surprising to me considering my biggest complaint with the newer soundcore stuff was always the odd leak or dip around the upper crossover point. Even the most recent boom 2 had a little bit of an issue. But… I will be damned, this speaker sounds really frighin goonld up to about 85% volume on traditional (NON-EDM) music. I thought maybe I had some sort of bias but… No. Except for the deep bass, I 100% preferred the Boom 2 Plus to the boombox 2 I almost everything from Sarah Mclaughlin to John Butler Trio.I seriously did not expect this at all! I have to give respect where it is due, this speaker was tuned exceptionally well up to about 85% volume or so. Don’t get me wrong, it does NOT fall apart after 85% or anything, it is just not quite as well tuned. My favorite Bluetooth speaker listening experience is still two JBL Encore in TWS mode but this B2P has actually overtaken the BB2 I most everything except EDM.

    Say Goodbye To Your Ears!

First off, I loved the original Motion Boom and Motion Boom Plus. For the money, you can’t beat them. This speaker is a huge upgrade over the Motion Boom Plus. Sure, its more expensive with a $249.99 MSRP but typing in B2PBOOMINUS will give you $40 off (you just can’t stack coupons).I have not messed with the EQ because it sound amazing out of the box. Bass is very heavy by default but activating Bass Up 2.0 boosts the bass so much that its scary. No matter how loud you want to listen, nothing distorts and bass won’t go down either! It gets very loud so keep that in mind.Design is really good and material feels great as well. It’s heavier and bigger than the Motion Boom Plus as well.Hands down one of the best bluetooth speakers I’ve ever owned and the best Soundcore product I’ve ever bought.

Bass sounds like it’s coming out of a plastic bucket.

Yes, it’s loud and has boomy bass (not deep), but it sounds hollow. Over 30 years in the audio business, I can tell this doesn’t sound as good as the better competitors. It has some good features like its light weight for the size, its USB-C power charge, cool lights. All that is nice, but it doesn’t sound good. For those who don’t mind mediocre sound, this will be fine for you. As for the price, it’s a bit overpriced. $199 should be the fair price for this speaker. Still a decent speaker, but I wouldn’t recommend it if sound is a priority.

Essential to personalize the EQ IMO

Don’t judge a speaker by its stock eq. Think of fine tuning the eq like you’d customize a stock hotswappable keyboard. It sounds good stock, but even better once customized for that desired sound. I personally like my eq to this. It sounds like a dream. I finally have a big Bluetooth speaker for my set of three and I couldn’t be happier for the price point, aesthetic, and sound. It’s a great way to parallel play and amp up the party.

Amazing Portable Bluetooth Speaker | Equalizer Setting to Make the Sound Even Way Better!

Bought this as as gift for my wife and I also have a passion for sound and I been working with it most of my life as a hobby. I wanted to get her a better BT Boombox than what she currently has, but that would be lighter weight, more powerful / better sound and that has a better battery life. The Boom 2 Plus fills those PERFECTLY! After working on the sound equalizer, I believe what I found to be a really good improvement over the stock sound (I feel the ‘Soundcore Signature Sound’ Setting was best out of the pre-made ones, so I am comparing mine to that one) which I feel my Custom one makes the sound much clearer, more bass and a tad louder!. See attached picture for the equalizer settings I have now. Enjoy everyone and thanks Soundcore for making this Boombox 2 Plus :-). I also own the original Motion Boom Plus as well and love it.

    powerful bass

Bought this for my husband, he does lots of yard work in our garden and wanted to have a good speaker to listen to music while working outside. He’s very happy about this soundcore Boom, it’s very easy to connect to Bluetooth, very powerful bass for songs. Since it’s also light weight and very portable, we plan to bring it to the next beachside BBQ party, will be fun!

    Gutes Produkt

Positiv:Hat Tragegurt UND Tragegriff.

Incredible bass on this for its size

Gone from a JBL Xtreme 3 to this and i’ve got to say, the difference is mind blowing! Sound is better, louder and far more punchy, I used to have a Boombox 3 and I reckon this even beats that! Will be ordering a second asap! I was worried this would be lacking in the highs but nope… Honestly, this is worth every penny!

    Besser geht es kaum !!

Super Klang auch bei Gitarren Parts, Super schnell Ladung, Extrem praktischer Griff. USB C Ladung.

decent, loud , needs more deep bass

soundcore boom 2 is pretty decent however i believe it needs to have a update to make the deep bass more and more highs and it will be perfect!👍

    Cooles Teil
