Wow what an awesome piece of tech

My hair is such a pain. I had to dry it with round brush and then to keep the frizz out, flat iron it. It was never perfectly straight, and hard to manage so I always add some curl back into it. I had no hope this would work but decided I could always return it. Price scared me away for a long time too. But after not being able to fall asleep late one night, I got courageous! And man I’m glad I did. This blew me away. My issue with over using heat tools to achieve an acceptable result is done. This tool does it all in one and does it better. And I can get close to my skin bc there are no scalding plates to burn me. My hair looks amazing. Even my boyfriend was blown away and you KNOW men hardly notice anything of this nature. Soft, straight and healthy – not damaged. 2000 out of 10.

    Quick!

I have thick long hair, and this Dyson works so quickly on wet hair, and with the right products, makes your hair come out, shiny and smooth, and appears to be way less damaging and less drying out to the hair.

    Most incredible hair device ever!

In my wildest dreams, I never thought a device like this would be available. The Dyson AirStraight is so, so good. It’s a game changer. I have very curly hair. It’s so curly, like I look plugged into electricity. I’ve been blowdrying and straightening my hair for decades. My hair was so damaged (despite always buying top of the line hair tools) so, for the last year I’ve been mostly wearing it back. I wasn’t feeling cute and then…ta da…my stylist recommends the Dyson AirStraight! It’s amazing. It is 100% a har dryer and straightener in one tool!!! I use it on my wet product-filled hair and, in two to three passes with tension, a section is DONE! It uses air and low heat and makes my hair so smooth and full and straight. I’ve never been able to blow dry my hair as well, and using this tool is so easy . I am so thankful for this hair tool. Absolutely worth every penny.

    Gift from the heavens!?

I just had to share my excitement about the Dyson Air Straight – it’s honestly become my hair’s new BFF! From the moment I unboxed it, I was in awe of the sleek design and knew I was in for something special. What sets this straightener apart is the way it cares for my hair. The intelligent heat control gives me peace of mind, ensuring my hair stays healthy while still looking fabulously straight. And can we talk about the air styling feature? It’s like magic – no more frizz, just salon-worthy smoothness. The best part? It’s so user-friendly! The lightweight design feels comfortable in my hands, and I love how quickly it heats up. Now, getting ready in the morning is a breeze, and I’m consistently rocking a look that makes me feel confident.Dyson has truly created a masterpiece with the Air Straight, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you want a hair tool that feels like it was made just for you, look no further. Trust me, your hair will thank you!

    Life changing

I have waited my whole life for a product like this! It’s 100% worth the price. I have thick naturally curly hair, and I use Keratin Salon Direct (an at home treatment) to soften and relax my curls about every 6 to 8 weeks, which helps when it comes to straightening my hair. Previously my daily routine was to blow dry and then use the straightening iron to get “okay” results. But now with the Airstick I get amazing results! When I get done it looks like a professional blowout. I just use Biosilk Silk Therapy as my product on wet hair and no more than 10 minutes later my hair is straight, shiny, and styled. For reference my hair is about chin length so if your hair is longer it may take longer to dry. But again, TOTALLY worth it!

My Hair Broke Off in Clumps! I Do Not Recommend!

I don’t normally spend this much money on a hair styling tool but the advertised claims that this product doesn’t damage your hair and having a tool that dries your hair straight was very appealing. Yes you just run this through your hair, and it blows it straight. That part was pretty amazing but that was it. You have to dry your roots first. It straightens 2.5ish inches from your roots due to how close you can get this tool from your scalp(the air blows out down the hair so there is a gap from scalp to where it dries), AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHERE MY HAIR BROKE OFF!!! And yes all the way around! I used this on the lowest setting too! After using this for about a month approximately 2 times a week on the wet to dry setting(which is exactly why I bought it) I noticed very long strands of hair by the masses in the shower. And sure enough I had breakage about 2.5 inch’s from my scalp and patches of short hair bushes all around my head. Of course this was all realized just after the 30day return policy. I cannot I believed that I wasted all of this money on something that ruined my hair that will take forever to grow out. Back to the standard blow dryer and brush set up, which I obviously wish I stuck with. One more thing. They way you have to use this it takes twice as long to blow out your hair. Even though I only had to do 2 or 3 runs down each section, you have to do a lot of sections which takes forever. It was very inconvenient to use on top of it. I love my Dyson vacuum and its amazing power so I figured this would be great. Epic Fail! Nightmare Product.

    Works great but….

Ok so I waited until I used it a few times before writing a review. I have extremely thick frizzy wavy hair. It normally takes about 2 hours to completely dry and straighten my hair. I was able to dry and straighten my hair in about 45 minutes with this dyson. Definite time saver but my roots were still damp. You can hold the straightener together to dry your roots but it wasn’t strong enough to completely dry my roots. I had to pull out my hair dryer and finish drying after using the dyson air strait. I also went over it with my usual straightener to give it a more polished look. It did save significant time, but for very thick hair you will probably still need your regular hair dryer and straightener as well. All in all, I think it’s worth it.

Amazing for fine hair! Not sure about others

Bought for my 14 year old daughter, and also maybe for my wife to share because on the product page it has a white and a black woman using the product. I thought I had found a way to take out two Christmas presents with one stone, but sadly my wife was unable to use it. She’s is Dominican, and I don’t think her hair is all that coarse, but she does straighten it every 1-2 weeks (not counting touch-ups). She also doesn’t perm anymore but instead uses a very strong smelling Keratin treatment every three months, so maybe her hair is naturally coarse and she does a great job transforming it. She’s done this for every 15 years of our marriage (the straightening), so I know a little about this topic. My wife said the Airstrait doesn’t get hot enough, and the black woman in the product profile is wearing a wig. The model differently has coarser hair than my wife’s, based on pictures when she was a teenager, so I have to believe her. My daughter, however, has the finest of them all hair, like me, and the Airstrait is like a magic wand for her. We even use it on our little Yorkie because it’s so quiet! I mean, we were using a hair blower and our poor dog would have a nervous breakdown when we used it on her. With the Airstrait our Yorkie still cries and shakes a little but it is a big improvement. Normally I wouldn’t give full stars to a product that has misleading images on it’s profile page but because it is truly wonderful for my daughter’s hair and incredibly quiet I’m making an exception for the Airstrait. I recommend.

    AMAZING

TL:DR – my wavy/curly hair typically takes 45 min – 1 hour to straighten. I used the air straight and it took 17 and a half minutes to go from wet hair to dry and straight. It also worked on dry waves/curls to dry straight.Easy to use. Highly recommend.I honestly was a little skeptical about this when I first decided to try it. I have wavy/curly hair and it takes FOREVER to straighten it.Blow drying takes a long time for me, and I honestly lack the brush/hand/eye coordination to do a great job. So basically I have to dry my hair and then go over it with a flat iron.I have tried multiple tools that are blow dry brushes to try to get my hair from wet to dry/straight and most of them do nothing but create frizz. Even after finding one that semi-worked, I still had to spend time going over my hair with a flat iron to get it straight and not frizzy. This whole process would typically take me a minimum of 45 min, but usually closer to an hour.I had read reviews about the Dyson air straight greatly reducing that time and it being super easy to use. I decided to try it and assumed that even if it did get my hair close to straight, I would still need to go over it with a flat iron. I was hoping this would just drastically cut down the overall time it took. The first time I tried it my hair was dry and curly. I had some free time and decided to see how the air straight would do in this capacity. I figured, since it was using air, it wouldn’t be the best at going from dry-curly to dry- straight. I was wrong. Within what seemed to be about 15 minutes my hair was straight!! I even quickly “set” it with the cool air setting. I was honestly astonished at how well this machine worked!!Then it was time for the real test. Would it be able to take my wet, out the shower hair, and straighten it quickly? I wasn’t sure. I watched the video in the Dyson app when I first opened it (I think it’s about 2 min long, nothing crazy) which explained how to use the tool to dry the roots before you start straightening. I decided to use the stopwatch function on my phone to see how long it actually took me to do my hair. I hit start on the timer and started straightening with the air straight. Most sections of my hair were dry and straight with ONE pass of the machine. This was honestly amazing because using a flat iron typically takes several. Some areas needed two passes, but this was still so much better and quicker than anything else I’ve used. Plus it was my first time doing it so I’m sure there is a learning curve. When my hair looked done I went over it with the cool setting to “set” the style and hit stop on my phone. It took me 17 min and 29 seconds to go from wet waves/curls to dry straight hair.I am honestly amazed and will never be able to straighten my hair any other way.

    Wavy hair girls dream!

For anyone that says it burns their hair, obviously has never used a flat iron. Whenever I use my flat iron my husband is always like “it smells like burnt hair” and was not the case with my Dyson! From soaking wet hair to that is pretty incredible, and it’s a lot better for my hair than blow drying it and then straightening my ENTIRE head afterwards. The only thing is that it makes your hair feel how it feels after blow drying, so I would still run your flat iron through it a couple times afterwards just to make it smoother (and that I’m a perfectionist and need my hair pin straight). Took me about 30 mins but since it was my first time I didn’t know the roots needed to be done first so probably would’ve been a little quicker. Awesome little tool so happy with it!

    Amazing for straightening curly hair

I have curly hair and have always hated that I have to blow dry my hair or wait to air dry before using a flat iron. Getting my hair from my natural to straight used to take me 2-3 hours. I can now have my hair from fully wet to dry and straight in about 20 minutes. And when I want refresh it after it’s already straight it’s more like 5-10 minutes. It’s a game changer!!! It also works SO WELL if you want to straighten your hair while it’s already dry. I was genuinely shocked because I was under the impression that for it to work well your hair had to be wet but that is not the case. I can use this on wet or dry hair and get the same result. Also the shine and volume I’m able to achieve using this is incredible. I also love that this is not a flat iron, just a really cool blow dryer. I have super fine hair that breaks VERY easily and since I started using this in place of a flat iron I’ve noticed significantly less breakage. I know the heat is still damaging but I use a good heat protectant and my ends are visibly less damaged than they were 6 months ago when I was using a flat iron 1-3 times a week.I know you can technically achieve the same results with a round brush and hair dryer but that takes skill and practice. I’ve never been able to achieve sleek straight hair with just blow dryer and round brush. It always comes out frizzy and poofy and I end up having to follow up with a flat iron. Which takes forever and it’s 2 rounds of heat styling which is horrible for your hair. I am obsessed with the air straight and if you love having straight hair you should ditch your flat iron and get this. Your hair will thank you and you will save so much time.

    GAME CHANGER.

For my hair type and my daughter’s hair type, this is an actual dream come true. I have fine curly hair that is fairly easy to straighten but I am never able to get it to look as smooth and shiny as a professional can. I’ve been using the Revlon brush blow dryer for years, and it’s been great for me, but this is UNREAL. My daughter has very long, thick, curly hair and I always blow it dry for her using the Revlon brush: it takes forever and looks good, but not polished and smooth the way her hair dresser does it. Tonight I did her hair using the Airstrait for the first time, and I couldn’t stop saying “Oh. My. God. This is insane” over and over. I actually said “where have you been all my life???!!!” I don’t know if really curly, kinky, wiry textured hair will end up as smooth and shiny— it may take longer, and you may have to work in much smaller sections to get it to lay flat. But for my daughter, who hates how fluffy, poofy and thick her hair looks all the time, this is a game changer because it flattens her hair. The follicle lays down smoothly and looks healthier! To me this is worth every penny, but again, certain hair types may not have the same level of ease and awe as I have had. Definitely try one first. But wet to dry???? I’ve dreamed of this my whole life!!!

This saves me 15 mins of work on my hair

I can now do my hair in 10 min and I have shoulder length THICK hair. My hair dresser told me about this and told her to get it and let’s try it out. She said no you get it. I’m thinking what do I have to lose? Don’t was my Merry Christmas to me gift.I agree with others it can be a little heavy. I’m sure over due time Dyson will fix that. The power cord is also heavy with the adapter sectioned in the middle of the cord. It’s weird how that is.The one thing I don’t like is you can’t dry your hair and curl it under like you can with a flat iron. No biggie, I have my flat iron on hand and it’s ready to go when I’m done. I few swipes and I’m done and ready to do.Would I purchase this again! In a heartbeat. I told my hairdresser I’d let her borrow mine for a day or two so she can try it out before SHE buys one. I told her once she tries it, she’ll want it as it will cut down the amt of time she spends with a client drying and flat ironing their hair.Go purchase this. Make payments if you need to, but get it. You’ll thank me later. ;-)Dyson….let me be your spokesperson haha

    Great!!

As with all dyson products, the price could be prohibitive to many. I treated myself because they make a quality product. Im going to keep it. This was my first try at using it. No matter what i do to my hair, it comes out frizzy. I have a brush dryer that unless its fall or winter, doesnt do much. I will get a better idea come spring if this is any better. You have to section your hair just like you would with a flat iron. It doesn’t open very wide, but I expect that. To get a good blow out you have to do it in sections anyway, so that is not a dealbreaker for me. I love this, and I hope to get a lot of use out of it, I don’t know if it is non-damaging like the claim, just because it’s air and not hot plates. Heat is heat in any form it will still do damage. I have very wavy to curly thin hair. Hopefully this wont do too much damage i dont straighten all the time! It’s hard for me to see all the controls without my glasses on, but that is not a reason to not like it. I will for sure get rid of my straightener and my brush dryer. The only thing I didn’t like as another user stated, it is very hard to get your roots because the dryers aim down so even touching your head it’s tricky. But because I have thin hair, my roots dried pretty quickly anyway. I can see how people with a lot of hair or thicker hair would have an issue. But bottom line: i highly recommend. First 2 pictures are wet to dry. Then i added before and after using the dry setting. This thing is the bomb!!!

    Best straightening dryer ever!

First, I am a big fan of the original Dyson hairdryer. The new Airstrait straightens my hair better than anything else I’ve ever used. I have very resistant wavy hair, particularly in the back. Hairdressers have never gotten my hair as straight has I do with this new Airstrait. Not only that, but normally when I straighten my hair, the next day the wave pattern has returned (if not later the same day). When I use the Airstrait, my hair stays straight for DAYS. It works even better than I had hoped. I think the key is that it blows air from both sides, drying each section of hair from both sides (my hair is very thick). I caught it during Black Friday sale with $100 discount, so I’m even happy with the price. Hopefully it will last as long as my regular Dyson hairdryer (7+ years and counting).

    Pin straight hair!!

Just tried my Dyson air straight for the first time today and it’s a total game changer!! Usually I blow dry then flat iron which takes me like an hour because I have thick, wavy hair. Because of the amount of time it takes me, I usually just let it air dry and then throw it in a messy bun. This tool dried and straightened at the same time!! It had no hot plates like a traditional flat iron. I touched it to make sure and it’s literally just air. Using this Dyson, my hair was dried and pin straight in less than 10 minutes!! Love the cold shot too to seal in moisture and shine 💕💕 Happy to say I’ll be using this alot!!!

    OMG

This is awesome. It made my hair super shiny and super soft and it took about 15 minutes. I can’t believe that my hair looks this nice. I usually air dry my hair and then straighten it and it takes a long time. Now I can do everything in one step. This is a total game changer. Anybody that uses a hair straightener needs to buy this product. And it’s not as heavy as I thought it would be. Next time make it cordless. Lol

Perfect for very straight sleek styles

This has been a game changer! I love it. I didn’t want to. I really wanted to hate it at this price. But, it’s all it says it is. My hair has never looked better or healthier. Be sure to use a blow dry cream just like you would with blow drying your hair normally. When closed, it works like a hair dryer to dry your roots and almost get it dry. Like 70% focused at the roots. Then run it through, small sections slowly. It comes out dry, straight, smooth, and so shiny! I wish it was less expensive but it’s worth every penny. It’s unique on the market as far as I know, and it replaces a dryer and flat iron. I think $200-$300 would be better but it’s still worth $500. I love it! I have done somewhat curly hair and lots of it if that helps. 🙂

    Life changing!!

I’ll start by saying I am a very frugal person. When I first saw the price I thought “that’s just crazy”. But I bought it. I have thin hair, naturally curly/wavy. I have been very conscious of what I’m putting in my hair, avoiding heat styling, etc to try to get my hair healthy again. This product created a solution for saving time and a healthier way of drying and straightening my hair. I read a ton of reviews first, and still was confident it wouldn’t work for me. IT DID! It is amazing! I haven’t been this excited about a “new toy” in a long time. It’s a smart device, and worked so quickly on my hair.I’m a believer!! When I think of the amount of money I have spent on various styling tools, much less hair serums, shampoos, etc. this made sense and is a step towards protecting my hair from very hot styling tools. It’s the only tool I need anymore!! You won’t regret it.

    The right direction is important

Probably my fault for not paying attention to the instructions, but once I got it right, this became a wonderful tool. The air vents have to face down or your hair will become a tangled mess. To dry the top couple inches, you can just lock it closed, and use it like any other hair dryer. For me, because I have hair straighter than a telephone pole, I mostly can only use this to dry. However, I can tuck it under or out for a bit of curl/flip. If you have curly hair and want to straighten, I suggest that you dry the roots first, then use the flat iron function.

Straight and Shiny for thick/ coarse Indian hair

I have used Dyson hair products since they launched. This is the best one by far. I didn’t want to believe that my roots would get “straight” with the dryer option but boy did they prove me wrong! Absolutely love the shiny and straight result!Note: this in no way speeds up the process of drying your hair with a dryer and then straightening it. However it is like a magic wand having a 2 in 1.Love it!

    Make hair smooth

Makes my hair smooth and frizz-free. I can style it in 10 minutes. It’s more natural than straightening splints and less damaging to your hair. Although its function is relatively simple, it is great for people who just want straight hair. My hair looks much smoother than Dyson Airwrap.

    Really Nice

Works well. Easy to use. I have a lot of hair, comprised of very fine strands, and I’m pretty certain this device causes my hair to have a great deal of static, but even that is not irritating enough to make me wish I didn’t buy it. It’s a great tool to have for when you’re short on time and need smooth hair. Purchased this when it was $100 off around Black Friday.

    Amazing!

This product is AMAZING! I was skeptical of all Dyson products because of the price, but I made the leap and purchased this straightner. I have very thick hair and it normally takes me 20+ minutes to dry it – and then I have to use a straightner, etc. I am able to dry my hair and straighten it within 10 minutes using this product. While it isn’t a hairdryer, it does have a feature that allows you to dry your roots and then one swipe thru a small section of hair and VOILA – hair is done. If you are considering purchasing – DO IT – you won’t be sorry.

    Heavy. Frizzy. Ok

It’s heavy and hand kept sliding up and got to touch the hot part of the straightener a couple of times. It’s a great concept but definitely needs improvement. I don’t do much to my hair (heat, dyes, chemicals) so it’s super healthy. I did notice my hair appeared damaged (super dry) after the first use. After applying the method of drying/heat followed by cool straightening to set the hair… I had tons of frizzy/electricity. My hair would literally go up in the vehicle roof. I think it needs improvement and at this point I don’t feel it’s worth the money.

    Know your place

I am not the ideal user of this product, but I am a fan of all things Dyson and figured I would give it a try. My hair is very fine, straight, and medium-length. I really liked the Airstraight’s ease of use, and it does exactly what it promises to deliver in terms of achieving stick-straight hair. For me, I like to add more volume if I can, and this product does nothing to help with that. I’d have to use another tool in addition to this one, but because the Airstraight is so expensive and my hair is so straight anyway, I’m going to return it and stick with my other dryers. However, I think people with curly or wavy hair will adore it. I will also say that one other thing I noticed is that all my shorter hairs were very staticky/frizzy/sticking up after I dried my hair. They calmed down after a few hours, but were quite unattractive at the beginning. Anyway, I will stick with my other Dyson hair tools that are much better suited to me.

    Almost perfect

Love how this dries so fast! But it’s TOO straight. I know that’s the point but would be nice if you could curl the ends under a little like other straighteners.

    Not worth the investment

This item is not worth its high price tag. I have wavy, fairly thick hair. For 20 years, I’ve used a series of traditional flat-irons to straighten my hair. Although my current iron works well, I was intrigued by the Dyson’s feature that lets you dry and straighten hair simultaneously. I was also interested in subjecting my hair to less heat damage. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.First, after washing your hair, you have to dry your roots by locking the two plates together and aiming hot air at them. This does not save time or heat exposure. With hair as thick as mine, it was impossible to dry the roots well enough to proceed to straightening unless I wanted to spend the same amount of time and heat I would spend drying my hair with a traditional dryer. So this completely defeats the point of this item.Second, even with dry hair, the iron does not achieve the flat, glossy look I can get with a traditional flat-iron. I used the Dyson twice, once on already-dry hair and once on freshly washed hair. I got the same results both time. It’s not the look I want, especially for the money.Third, there is no way to turn off the hair-dryer feature while ironing your hair. The hot air vents point in one direction along the long edge of the iron, so unless you are careful to hold the iron with the vents pointing down, you’ll blow hot air upwards and undo a lot of the straightening.Fourth, it’s cumbersome. The dryer/iron is light enough, but the cord is thick and it has a box in the middle of it (to convert power, I think). So the cord makes it less easy to handle. And as I pointed out before, unless you are careful to point the air vents down (which requires a lot of juggling), you’ll undo the straightening.I had high hopes for this item and I’m sorry that it didn’t fulfill them. I gave it two stars because it’s an adequate flat-iron and hair-dryer, but it definitely does not deliver the ease of use or time-saving that it promises.

    Great tool

This is a wonderful tool. I have naturally curly hair, and like many others, went through a phase of straightening it to the point of frying every strand. Because of how long it took to repair my hair I decided to step back from straightening and only ow drying, to the point I sold my flat iron. Then this came out – and I was intrigued.I received a lot of advice before I first received it – mainly to make sure the hair was 90% dry, and specifically to blow dry your roots. I did this and holy cow did it do its job! I love that it doesn’t burn your hair. Using it is full proof – a very small (almost non existent) learning curve. And there are so many amazing features, like the self cleaning.I did find that it made my hair too flat initially – my hair is fine, and it made it so straight that it had no volume. So I ended up using a mousse in my hair beforehand the second time and I love the result. Honestly changed my life. It’s obviously expensive, but I’d use this over a flat iron and day. No regrets.

    Happy wife, happy life

Gentlemen… if your wife requests one of these, save your pennies and buy one for her! Mine asked for one this past Christmas, and my jaw dropped at the seemingly high cost. I bit my tongue, clenched my jaw, and clicked on “Place your order”.To hear her rave to her friends about how great it works (and NOT hear her complain about her wavy hair) was definitely worth the cash outlay!

Where have you been my whole life?!

I read a ton of reviews before taking the plunge. It appears that some hair types might not be the best for the Dyson Airstrait. But for my long, thick, wavy/curly hair, I am so glad I bought this! I do think opinions on this product are relative to what your normal hair routine is. For example, some people complain about how heavy the product is. But I didn’t have an issue with it at all since it is lighter than other wet to dry brushes. I also am terrible at blowing my hair straight with a round brush and hair dryer. My hair is so long and thick all the aforementioned attempts would take me an hour or longer. But with the Dyson, I was done in 30 minutes. If you’re looking for a blown out look with waviness at the ends, this is not the product for you since it gets your hair pretty stick straight. Really the whole time I was using it, I was thinking “where has this thing been my whole life?!”. Absolute game changer. Also, I love the smart technology! It goes idle when it is set down and in between passes the fan slows down its speed and senses when you are going for another pass and speeds up again.

    Absolutely buy it!!!

I have medium length very thick hair. I am not a hair person and do not really understand or know how to do hair so I’d tend to wear it up in a ponytail. This device is a total lifesaver. I love it and it super easy to use! In 10 minutes I can dry and straighten my hair. I recommend a good comb and some hair clips to section your hair. It’s a game changer.

    Worth it!

I was sceptical at first because people kept sating their roots werent straight. I was able to hold the hair taut while air drying with the clmaps closed and then passing the airstraight through 3-4 times to straighten and dry. Needless to say when i use other methods i have to take out my babyliss iron but i didnt need to use it at all. Hair was dry and straight within 40 mins

    Time Saver!

I have medium length hair that goes just a little over my shoulder. I was worried at first because I have read comments to where people said medium to short doesn’t work that great. I am not sure for them, but for me this is amazing, I don’t think I will ever use a blow dryer again. It normally takes me an hour and half to blow dry and straighten my hair, but it now is about 30 mins. Some tips I have is make sure your hair isn’t dripping wet, wrap it in a towel for a little while. Then comb and apply your products you like. Then turn on the machine and begin to dry out your roots for a bit, then section your hair and begin to process it. Once done I like to put it on dry with a boost and go through it all one final time. Also be sure to download their app and add your machine and it will unlock the warranty mine is good until 2025 and their app also has a bunch of tips and tricks which was helpful for first use. The only negative I will say is it does get heavy after a while but I think any hair styler gets heavy the more you use it. some of my hair was a little damp but this is why I now go back through on dry mode with the boost that seems to dry it completely out without adding extra time. I know people don’t like spending the money or can’t justify it and I understand but Dyson products are literally worth every penny! you won’t regret it.

This one is hard to rate…Every Dyson product my family has ever owned has been ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. This one was just returned because, it was a gift that wasn’t preferred. This person has the blow dryer though and loves the diffuser tool!

    Decent

It’s a great tool, but it unfortunately did not work well with my hair type. O have coarse, wavy hair and while it did straighten, it was hard to hit the roots (even if I use it just as a blow dryer) because of how big the tool was and my hair frizzed up quite often. I think it also depends on the hair products you use, but to me, it unfortunately was not worth the price I paid.

The best product for straight hair!!

Geez this is BRILLIANT! Of course it is, it’s engineered by Dyson, and I’m so thrilled with how my hair looks today with little to no experience, I just knew I wanted my longer, fine aging blonde hair to look sleek and straight like after a visit to the hairdressers, and voila perfection the first try. Absolutely besotted with it, even my arthritic hands are happy, easy to use, fantastic features, I can’t wait to look this good so easily going forward! I cannot believe I am saying this knowing the cost, but, you need this in your life, buy it, it’s worth every penny!!

    Best straightener on the market

This is truly an amazing product. I color my hair and deal with breakage all the time. This is not a hot flat iron that burns and breaks your hair, this blows hot air and straightens your hair with out all the damage that comes along with regular flat irons. This product has two different settings, one for dry hair and one for wet hair. Amazon is giving a 20% discount currently for Black Friday. If you are interested in trying this product, I would do it now while you can get a discount because you won’t want to return it.

I really wanted to like this…

For $499 I really wanted to like this product, my first big beauty investment! I returned it after using it twice since I thought it might cut down time on styling and straightening my hair, the only reason I could justify the cost. If you’re a curly girl like me you’re honestly better off with a Remmington Wet2Straight…and its $20. I have mixed textured curls (3B’ish depending on my length, high porosity) it won’t give you a silky straight which is my preference. If you want a “natural straight” this may work for you but Im not going to spend this amount to achieve what a lazy blow dry could. This is much better suited for someone with straight hair. Overall I felt like the technology was cool! But it was a bit too heavy.

    I’m blown away!

I have 59 year old covered grey hair. My hair has always been thick and wavy, but as it’s greyed, it’s become somewhat wiry. It takes an hour of blow drying to dry and style my hair, until now. This is, by far, the best tool I’ve ever used on my hair. I was concerned after reading one negative review, below, that I might have made a mistake, but after receiving the Airstraight and reading the short manual, realized she’s using the Airstraight upside down. Of course blowing toward your scalp will result in raised hair shaft and frizz. Using the Airstraight the correct way, results in each hair strand drying flat and smooth. I can’t believe how shiny my hair is!And it only took 20 minutes, 1/3 the time as a normal blowout, from wet to straight and dry. This tool is expensive, but worth every penny!

Does not replace your current tools

This product does not take the place of a straightener. It takes the place of a blow dryer and brush. It probably is only worth the price tag if you have thick, time consuming hair. I can see where it would cut down on time in that instance.I bought it to use on my fine hair because I just can’t get away from heat damage while trying to tame my cowlicks. It’s just not the tool for that as it doesn’t really get close enough to the scalp. It also leaves your ends awkwardly straight-ish and doesn’t smooth your hair the way you’d usually want after straightening your hair. So now I have a VERY expensive blow dryer. Something that I had no issue doing before.Adding to that, it is heavy. It probably only takes about 10 minutes to dry/straighten my hair but the tool itself and then the battery on the chord become heavy by the time I’m done. The straightener is a little over a LB. and the battery on the chord is also a little over a LB. I know that sounds silly but, working with it above your shoulders for over 10 mins would probably get exhausting for someone with heavier hair. Please watch review videos on other sites and research the specific reasons you might be interested in this before you invest.Or, if you know someone that already has one, see if you can try it out before you make the purchase.Good luck!
