    Dateitypen – Abhilfe!

    Best of few I tried.

Thanks to Amazon I had occassion to get few projectors, compare them and send back these which I did not like. This one was on my mind as first but due to reviews I got some other first and I should listen to my guts.Projector’s fan is very quiet, pocket size, connecting to my phone’s wifi with no problem. Easy to set up, great solution with a leveling handle. Possible to drop image from very close.Minus is remote control. Got it for my daughter’s room, plugged fire stick to it and works all great.Happy of buy, exactly what I wanted.

Great design let down by some bad design.

Having owned the M1 and the M1+ I can tell people who don’t know which one to go for to just go for the one that is cheapest at the time. The M1+ has no noticeable extra brightness over the M1 and the ‘streaming’ features and apps are just terrible. You will definitely need to use a Chromecast and Fire Stick device to stream without issues. The little issues that damage the experience are the fan noise and the INCREDIBLY annoying focus issue. The fan when the unit is plugged in will cool the bulb down to a safe temp and then wind down, then back up and down up and down up and down driving you nuts if you are close enough to hear it. I find myself turning the brightness down to the lowest level so that the fan ticks along at a much lower level. It’s much more bearable. The other unforgivable issue is the focus. It just plain sucks. The focus is handled by a little wheel at the side of the unit and it seems to have some tension or pull on it, because you will get the projector in focus get yourself all settled in for your film and then ‘pop’ the view is nothing but blurry smears! The wheel seems to just move on its own and you have to get up and do it all over again. It is infuriating. I have never come back the projector and found it to still be in focus, I have had to focus it each and every time I’ve used it.That being said it is a great machine. The design in fantastic for setting up on a headboard of a bed and projecting on the ceiling, perfect.M1 or M1+? There is mo difference really. Just go for the cheaper option as you will need to get a dedicated streaming device to attach to it if you want judderless/bufferless decent connections.

It is a good in its price class and if you want a great experience you need to pay more

I need a portable projector in small apartment for kid viewing youtube instead of ipad to protect eyes. I did a lot of research and tried this one. I basically read most if not all oneline compare writings about portable projecters include philips, lg, viewsonic, xigmi , wemax. The design is good. The cover handle is a plus make it easy to position projector for different angles. No zoom no horizontal keystone but for this price I can accept this. Brightness is not enough for daytime so I ordered the xgimi halo then I was blowed out by the difference and figured I cant save the money by keeping this. Major difference is picture definition . Xgimi is 1024 hd so much much more clear after compare side by side and brighter. Enlarge the picture i attached , you can tell the difference. The difference is even bigger than the picture show in life. If you dont mind picture quality and is on a tight budget. viewsonic is the best on the market for portable. It runs ok with screen mirror ,its ios screen mirror is better than xgimi which i had to run an app and slow to connect. sound quality also good. brightness is much lower than xgimi. The handle design is better than xgimi. The xgimi has no handle which i worry kid may drop it to the floor when he moves it to bedroom. Cord projector will always has better picture than battery power one. For tight budget this is still a keeper but if you willing to pay more than Double, xgimi is the one to go for best picture unless you dont mind cords.

    Great Idea, Bad Execution

I loved how small this product was and to be honest it was bright enough for what i needed (still not very bright). I went camping with it and it worked fine but this products biggest downfall is its battery. It couldn’t last longer than 30 minutes on eco mode. It has really low latency so playing games was super fun, but 20 minutes into a game i would get a low battery message that wouldn’t go away. The projector is super small and portable and very easy to set up and it is great, but expect to keep it plugged in. I refunded mine because it can’t even charge via usb without a 5A cable, so you pretty much need to use the original power brick even though its usb c. My beefy laptop charger wont even charge it. If it used normal usb c, I could just use a power bank and there wouldn’t be an issue, but i can’t even do that. All that being said, I gave 3 stars because if it is marketed as being portable it should have a better battery. It is very small but it entirely defeats the purpose of having a small portable projector when it needs to constantly be plugged into a bulky 5A usb c wall plug. I’d rather just spend the extra $100 on a much less portable but better projector.

    Well worth it

This was my first time buying a projector and I’m thrilled with my choice. The View Sonic M1+ is neat, compact and very portable. Visually the item is eye catching, modern and sleek. When holding the projector you can feel that the item is of a solid build quality. The built in speaker is perfect for a mini movie night with friends as the max volume is more than enough to create a movie atmosphere. The sound is crisp and clear when the projector is up and running. The brand Harmen/Karem have lived up to their reputation and done a great job with sound quality. Interacting with the home screen was very easy to navigate and downloading apps such as Netflix and Spotify was done with ease. The remote responds quickly to touch and its button layout made negotiating the app store very easy. Overall this is a great starting point for someone who is thinking of buying a projector. The only thing I would creteak is the price. If you see this item on discou to, I would recommend for you to purchase. Overall, super projector.

Using it in my camper van. These things you need to know before you buy!

I bought it for my camper van. I know that it cant be compared to the bigger projectors that is used in home theaters. So with that in mind.Lets start with the positive feedback. The picture is clear and vibrant. Its quiet, small and quick to start up. The built quality feels nice. Robust plastic. The sound isnt that good, but what to expect from this small unit? However the Bluetooth is easy to use, so I have connected it to my JBL Charge 5 making the sound ok to good. Then to the negative. The focus wheel is really hard to set. It is super tight and so sensitive which makes micro adjustments near to impossible. Once set the picture is sharp though. When charging the unit makes a squeeky sound. Not super loud, but loud enough for you to hear it in the quiet bits of a movie.Using screencast offsets the sound a little. On real Wi-fi in the apartment it is maybe 1/4 sec. But in the van using phone as Wi-fi, casting from my tablet offsets the sound about 2 seconds. (I had to buy a cord). The smart TV is really shitty. There is only a handful of apps to download. Netflix, which was about the only one awailible that I use is working really bad. You cant search. You cant get to the meny to reach categories. It repetetly freezes, making it really hard to navigate. The Remote control feels cheap. Its buttons are unsensetive and you never know if you have pushed it or not.It needs a more powerful source to charge from. The USBs I have in the van was not poerful enough to charge the unit. I had to buy a pretty expensive powerbank to be able to charge it. No big deal, but good to know. You could wish for a tripod mount. Even though the built in stand is great, there are times when you need a tripod etc.Even though it is more negativ comments from me then positive I have decided to keep it. With all above sorted out, using cable from phone, my JBL speaker and powersupply from powerbank it does the job.

One of the best Portable Projectors

I bought the ViewSonic M1+ Projector 12 months ago and I am very pleased that I did. For all the features it provides, it is certainly great value for money. It is portable, weighing 700g and measuring 5.9 x 4.9 x 1.5 inches. It has a stylish design that is also practical. Its metal stand doubles as a lens cover. When the lens is uncovered, the projector is instantly switched on. All the ports are easily accessible. This short-throw projector provides up to 1080p resolution, but with ViewSonic’s Cinema SuperColor+ technology, the picture quality is enhanced to produce realistic colours. For such a small device, it can project images onto screen sizes 60, 80, and 100 inches!I found the built-in battery to be a bonus as most projectors do not have one. As it can run up to 6 hours on a full charge, it is ideal for outdoor use. The projector’s interface is very user-friendly; it has an Auto Keystone feature that corrects distorted images. This device has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. I can connect my Amazon Fire TV Stick, Blu-ray Player, and external hard drive to the device. I have also used it to stream videos from my phone and tablet. The Remote Control is well-designed, sturdy and practical. The Harman Kardon dual speakers are simply awesome! The cinema-sound experience is so satisfying that I never need to connect my Dolby Atmos sound system! There is a Movie mode, Music mode, and User mode for customising sound to my own preference. The projector can also be used as a Bluetooth Speaker in which to play music from other devices! To add to its many advantages, the projector has up to 30,000 hours of light source life.

    Disappointing

Owned this for a year, during that time got a charge that would last maybe 1 and a half hours and that was on eco mode! Now the battery doesn’t hold a charge at all, only used about 10 times so not like it’s been overcharged or overused, very disappointing considering being able to take it on the move was it’s best feature

Good Projection, Amazing Speakers, Strong battery life

I got the Viewsonic M1+ and I am very impressed by the device so far. It is very portable, and really good for the price. Its very bright (brighter than the nebula capsule), especially in dark the contrast and brightness is top notch.+ Pros. – Cons+ Speakers are the best part, very loud, clear and crisp and very loud. You absolutely do not need a speaker in a normal living room. If you do want to connect a speaker, there is a 3.5mm audio output port.+ Good battery life, in my testing lasted around 4.5 hours on maximum brightness.+ M1+ variant has WiFi capability, hence screen mirroring from PC/Mobile phone is possible via Google Home app.+ SD card slot for accessing media and USB port for connecting Storage devices, to play media.- SD card or USB drives needs to be formatted in FAT32 format. (exFAT, NTFS etc. are not detectable), so all files must be less than 4GB.+ Has USB-C port as an alternative to already present HDMI port.- However, the USB-C cannot be used for USB storage.+ Projector can be used as a Bluetooth speaker mode, that turns off the lamp.- The processor is a little slow, hence apps take some time to load,+ but that can be fixed by using a fire tv stick or chromecast.- Only an outdated Appstore (Aptoide) available, No Google Play store.+ However, apps can be installed via apk through a USB stick. Helps to install up-to-date Aptoide store.- Built-in Mediaplayer does not play all formats. MKV usually do not have sound. Only MP4 (youtube ripped) worked.+ But that can be fixed by installing VLC from Aptoide store, and all formats work.- Remote is of a poor quality, and doesn’t work if not near or in direct sight of the projector (usually the front side).I am overall satisfied with the product. By having the ability to install apps via apk and Aptoide store, Streaming apps can be installed (although they will run very slow), as well as Network sharing apps to access the internal storage of the projector (16GB) or the SD card placed. Would recommend.

Difícil a describir…

Problems with wifi and screen share

This ViewSonic M1+ Portable LED Projector with wifi and bluetooth is not all its cracked up to be. Picture quality is good. However connectivity is poor. The Blueooth only allows you to connect sound from the projector to another speaker, and when you do so, the projector screen goes blank and shows no images. The Wifi would not connect my computer screen to the pojector despite me running all the trouble shooting such as making sure the projector is connected to the same wifi network as your device or computer. The image quality is good, especially for projecting small images from up close. And the brightness is good, even woking fairly well in a daylit room. But we had to send it back as we purchased it especially for the Wifi feature , which it is incapable of doing from regualr wifi. It also had problems screen sharing from a phone or a computer, such as on Disney plus and amazon prime. It was able to screen share if it was not a live steam, such as a video we had saved on the phone. But generally in terms of connectivity, useless. A real shame, as picture quality is good.

ViewSonic M1+ vs. Anker Nebula Max

I bought this projector, the ViewSonic M1+, and the Anker Capsule Max, and decided to keep the Max. The reason I went with the Max came down to two main features: horizontal keystone and the remote control. The M1+ does not allow for horizontal keystone, which means you need to point it directly in line with the wall/screen. So you can’t say, put the projector on a bedside table or end table and angle it towards the center wall across the bed or couch. I had an old projector years ago, bulky and primitive, but even that had horizontal keystone. The other drawback was the remote, because for the M1+ I had to use a firestick which has a remote too (and makes the system look less sleek overall). So two remotes for one projector, versus the Max which doesn’t require any remote but your phone. What I LIKED about the M1+ is the design physical, it’s a nice looking projector, I prefer it to the soda can look. The picture quality was really good, brightness was good, and the focus (manual) was still a bit better than the Max on autofocus (can also be set manually). You can see in the photos of both projectors (M1+ is on top, Max is bottom) that the color is a bit more vibrant on the Max, but overall I considered color quality to be very comparable. Also keep in mind these photos are not in pitch black rooms, there’s actually a window next to the wall pictured, so the quality looks better in darker settings. My suggestion to the makers of the M1+ is to #1 fix the horizontal keystone issue and #2 work towards built in apps and getting rid of the remote. My recommendation to buyers is that if you want a projector that will remain mostly stationary (movie room), want clear picture definition, and to keep the budget low, the M1+ is a nice choice. If you are going to use it room to room, and want to hit the “easy” button, spend the extra cash on the Max. I got my Max renewed for $375 (works great) and see a lightning deal today for new Max at $400.

Realy good but odd remote control

ViewSonic M1 Plus looks realy smart in its gray bagHowever the remote control does not fit in the bag , so you have to carry the remote separatelyAlso the external power supply is a very large brick.Overall not impressed , they should have thought more about the overall look.As for the remote control. To skip forward on a film is hard work. There is a Forward and Reverse on the remote control , but this skips different films not the film you are watching. As for watching films , if you have a dark room then it works very well.Sound is very good and like that you can use Bluetooth to connect to your phone and play music

    Excellent portable projector

I bought this for my wife for her birthday present.Frequently we watch our daughter’s performances on YouTube, as she is in musical theatre. We travel a lot but also find the convenience of using our iOS devices to be more user friendly than streaming on a television. This is a nice portable sized projector. The size of the picture is dependent upon the distance from the wall. The picture quality is very good for a portable device with vivid colors. Brightness and contrast are adjustable. There are different default settings but I find adjusting parameters myself is better. The speakers are by Harmon Kardon which are quite good.I bought this because of the excellent battery life that this has. It was also quite small in size with the variety of features. The remote control is responsive without a lag. It is easier to use the remote for navigating the menus than going by the buttons on the device.I have gotten this working by Screen Mirroring, using my iOS device if the iOS device and this projector are on the same network. Otherwise I can only broadcast Disney Plus, HBO Max or Netflix by using an Apple HDMI Lightning adapter. This has a large AC adapter and a small Velcro case but I have ordered a specific designed carrying case for this.It was not intuitive to set this up for me. It took a lot of experimentation to determine what would make it work, and I almost returned it. But to make a copyrighted show work through this I had to use an HDMI Lighting adapter.I have android devices, too. So I will need a USB-C HDMI adapter, I’m sure. The device turns on by flipping the lens cover down, which also works to adjust the height of the picture. There is a control knob to adjust focus.A compartment on the left hand side reveals the slot for memory cards, HDMI, USB and USB-C ports. There is an interface for mounting upon a tripod if you wish to use one.Overall, we just watched Kobra Kai on this projector at the hotel, and it was great.I’m glad I got it for the wife.

A mon grand étonnement : bon rapport qualité prix.

Very poor quality, unreliable software. Would be great if it worked as advertised.

The projector arrived today but nothing is working smoothly:- When connected to a 2021 Macbook Pro over Airplay, framerate is stuttery (~5 frames per second), even when placed right next to the router. Smooth video playback isn’t possible.- Casting or Airplaying content from an app on my smartphone (eg. video in a firefox tab, BBC iPlayer programme, YouTube video just gives a never-ending loading spinner and eventually returns me to the projector’s home screen. Sometimes I will get a “Video unavailable—We’re experiencing a problem playing this video” error from the app.- Presumably popular apps like Plex, Prime Video and BBC iPlayer, once installed onto the projector, regularly stop responding or refuse to play any content at all, getting stuck with a loading spinner, despite a fast WiFi connection.- Over HDMI, pictures are smooth but the sound is crackling, garbled and unintelligible. This applies to all sound going over the connection. I have tried two HDMI cables. All these problems were seen on an internet connection of 73 Mbps down, 7 Mbps up, and a ping of 21 ms, right next to the router. In all cases, playing the content normally without the projector involved resulted in immediate, high-quality, lag-free and buffer-free playback.I’m surprised to see so many deal-breaker issues for a completely new product, especially given the ideal conditions I’m testing it in (recent laptop and smartphone, fast connection, plugged in).In less ideal conditions I imagine it would be unusable. Don’t buy.

Alors apres plusieurs heures d utilisation.

Nifty little gadget that becomes not nifty fairly quickly.

First off, am I chuffed to have a nice little projector gadget that’s turned my bedroom into a cinema – yes! Am I also gutted it’s turned out to be a bit more of a faff than I’d anticipated – also yes. I got the projector on a Black Friday deal for £165.. so based on that the brightness and picture quality is absolutely great. The sound is also fine, if you’re on your own, as soon as you have a few other people around and a bit of background noise I can imagine you’d want to turn it up a notch but can’t. How I hoped it would work is that I’d just hitch my phone up to it over Bluetooth and airplay and off you go – no wires. The phone connects fine to the projector.. but in my experience airplay lags the sound/images and you end up constantly downgrading the playback quality. First upgrade – £50 for a lightening to AVI connect for my phone. Not the projector’s fault. Then I hoped to Bluetooth a speaker to it to beef the sound up. The Bluetooth connects to the projector but then you can’t play images at the same time? You can download a limited selection of apps from the software – Netflix, iPlayer etc, but you’ll need to connect a mouse to the projector to click and select. Sky Go is not an option and from phone/ipad will NOT be playable over mirroring.. purchased yet another cable, thunderbolt to HDMI for my laptop. Now I can connect the speaker to my laptop and ‘Sky Go’ from there. So I have everything set up how I like it.. but what started as a portable, pocket sized gadget now has more cables and gizmos attached than a fairground!! I’d intended to use it as a space saving, energy saving TV replacement on my narrow boat, but now will be charging the surplus gadgets as well so it’s not quite worked as intended. However, the charge lasts about 1.5 hours. So if you are a Netflix user, or have a fire stick etc. and want it for occasional use such as when camping, you’ll be able to travel much lighter. As said, maybe I was expecting too much and should have done my homework on streaming limitations a bit better, but just so you don’t hit the same issues!! Regardless I’ll be keeping the projector and enjoying using it.

Thanks Viewsonic for a cheap 3d projector

For the money, this is a really feature-packed projector. I was looking for a projector that has 3d support. Most of the cheaper projectors, the “bluetooth” ones don’t support it. I couldn’t understand why they had every other feature, but didn’t add 3d in. However, this Viewsonic projector does support 3d and it looks really great. As far as the usual projector stuff, this projector has decent brightness — it looks ok even in a room that isn’t pitch dark (we had a few lamps on). It looks nice in a dark room. If you’re looking for a super bright picture in a bright room, you might want to consider a larger, more expensive projector. As far as 3d, to produce a 3d image you need three things. A projector (like this one) that supports 3d and projects the 3d image, you need a player that can play 3d disks (I bought an LG Bluray player that plays 3d disks) and you need 3d glasses. For glasses, I’ve seen a few people say you need to buy the Viewsonic PG-something glasses. Well, those glasses don’t appear to be made anymore. However, don’t worry, you just need to buy any regular old active shutter glasses that are for DLP projectors. Buy one of the brands that say they support all kinds of DLP projectors–this Viewsonic won’t be in their supported list, but they will work with this projector. I had a little difficulty with the glasses, probably because I was turning them on incorrectly. But, if you mess with them, you’ll get it.Also, another nice thing about this little projector is the sound. Wow! Its very impressive for such a little box. Its good enough to use to watch a movie, unless you’re really after that thunderous sound of a movie theater, then you could explore the bluetooth option and connect a bluetooth speaker to this projector. There’s a few things I don’t like. First, if you use the built in arm as a base, on mine at least, the display is crooked. Also, the projector is so light that the HDMI cable will move it. So, to get the projector properly placed, you need to mess with the HDMI cable or even tape the cable down to the table where your projector is. I mostly solved the problem by attaching a tripod to the projector — your tripod will just screw into the bottom of the projector. A pretty cool feature. It does have the ability to play movies from micro SD cards and external hard drives. I haven’t messed with any of those. Its also connects to WiFi–that went very smoothly for me. That’s nice in case there are any firmware updates, you can get them instantly over WiFi.So, overall, this is a really great budget projector with alot of features. One of its biggest strengths is that it supports 3d–very, very rare in this price range.

Good overall, but in-app system doesn’t work

The projector is a good quality for the price and category. However, the in-store app system doesn’t work and I am aware other people have had the same issue (screen mirroring doesn’t work for Prime, Netflix etc. Downloading the app provides an alternative to the remote control. The seller does not provide great customer service and they rely on third party couriers for deliveries (I had an instance where DHL claimed they attempted to deliver, but they never did).

    Great value projector.

I initially purchased this projector for showing educational films and power point type presentations at university. I chose it for the compact size, the name I knew (it wasn’t some strange unknown Chinese brand), the audio features, overall brightness and the connectivity options. It also had some good reviews. When I first received it and set it up, I quickly realized that the resolution was too low for doing presentations. At 60″ the text is legible but blocky, and photos and other graphics are similarly unsophisticated. Considering that I had bought it for this purpose, my first instinct was to send it back, but I kept hold of it for a few days to look into other uses. We started to use it to watch tv and movies and found it was actually very watchable. With video the low resolution isn’t so noticeable, I guess because it’s a moving picture. The colours are bright and vivid, and the high contrast ratio makes even dark scenes fairly distinct. It works best in total darkness, but is also good in low light situations, not much use in a day-lit room. We now use it as a second TV in the bedroom, and during this lockdown period it’s getting a lot of use!For portable use the onboard Harmon-Cardon system is loud enough, and reasonable quality, like a $30 blue tooth speaker. The stand is useable as long as you’re careful not to knock it off something, or trip over the power cable and bring it crashing to the ground, which I have done already (still worked afterwards). At home I use a photography tripod for stability, and play the audio through my amp.The amount of input options is great, and I especially like the micro sd and USB readers. I load them up with content and then it just plays out of the unit, recognizing most formats. My macbook pro and android phone can both wirelessly connect to ‘cast’ content, but make sure you have a good wireless router, mine is ancient and can’t really keep up. I’ve not managed to use the usb C port as I don’t have a compatible device, and the HDMI connecter works as you’d expect for connecting laptop etc. I’m sure there are other ways to connect that I haven’t discovered yet. The unit connects to the Wifi network easily and can run apps, which I haven’t really bothered with. Remote works well by just pointing at the screen, or the front of the unit. The main negative point for me is the focus wheel, it’s very sensitive, fiddly and really difficult to get the focus bang on. My unit also slightly loses focus over time, so during an ad break you have to fiddle with it. Also when you power on the unit the focus needs readjusting even though the projector and screen are in the same position. This is something Viewsonic need to sort out for the next gen.Overall: Seems well built and is so far stable and reliable, it’s great fun for portable cinema/TV use and is small enough to throw in a bag for travel. Also good for light home use. The resolution of 480p leaves a bit to be desired, but for the price this is basically what you get. Pay more if you want 720 or 1080p sharpness. I kept the projector and use it everyday, actually grown quite fond of it.Tip: First thing to do is upgrade the firmware to latest version.

Affordable, good portable projector, but Screen Mirroring / Streaming doesn’t work

Summary: Purchased Viewsonic M1+ Gen2 (late Nov 2020). Tested over 20 hours and despite major flaws with the screen mirror / streaming feature, the projector still is a keeper… since streaming is not a show-stopper for me.NOTE: The “Gen 2” version has new/unique Users Manual from the regular M1+ (Gen 1); download from Viewsonic USA site, very well written.PROS:1. Setup was easy.. Language/region/time, WiFi network, Bluetooth (optional), etc.2. The Harmon Kardon Speakers are good (2 speakers x 2 Watts/speaker – solid sound in 20×15 ft room.3. Bluetooth setup to external speakers to boost sound… really makes a world of difference in larger rooms.4. All video inputs worked fine from iPad/iPhone/Win10 PC (did not test Android devices or Mac OS PCs) — USB-C — excellent — HDMI – excellent (use top notch cables) — USB – acceptable; some weird delays during fast action scenes — SD Card – no issues, except challenging to eject card from slot5. Battery lasted surprising long… about 4.5 hours with LED lamp brightness turned up to Maximum6. All OSD menus were easy to use and there are many features / defaults that can be tweaked.7. Overall, nicely built and footprint and stand worked fine. For the price (about $270) it is a good investment.CONS:1. The camera thread mount option doesn’t work… the threading in the projector is too shallow to take a solid mount on a tripod or other standard mount. This really needs to be fixed; non-standard thread depth.2. Aptoide TV is poorly implemented… a very limited number of apps and difficult to use interface. The UI is even more challenging when only using the supplied Viewsonic remote. You really need a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to navigate (note: I didn’t try this, but it should work). + I downloaded and tested – NetFlix, Amazon Prime, BBC News, TED Talks, Smart YouTube TV, and Chrome Web browser. With the exception of Amazon Prime — all the apps worked fine. + Amazon Prime didn’t work because the Viewsonic Remote does not play well with Amazon’s Onetime Password pop-up screen. A BT keyboard/mouse would likely resolve this.3. The BIGGEST disappointment — cited by other Amazon Customers — is that Screen Mirroring/Streaming doesn’t work… + The projector uses the iMirror (Android) app to handle Screen Mirroring with Apple iOS, Android and Mac and Win10 PCs. The app is not ready for prime time… especially with the devices I tested. + Using iOS 14.3 devices (iPhones/iPad — nothing streamed, except for YouTube. + I tested NetFlix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, PBS Video and even Tivo Bolt… stream either refused to setup or the project froze/locked up. + Using Win10 PC — nothing streamed via Chrome or FireFox.ViewSonic really needs to fix this Streaming issue, since it is one of the unique features of this new generation of portable LED projects w/ built-in speakers/WiFi/Bluetooth (all in one). Not having streaming resulted in a possible “5 Star” review going down to “3 Stars”. I am hoping that the iMirror app or a new app will be introduced to fix this problem.Bottom Line: For the price, portability and other wired connections and SD/USB storage this device is worth owning. If you absolutely cannot live without streaming… then hold off until the streaming issue is fixed.I’m rolling the dice that ViewSonic will listen and respond to the view of the customer… and assign a team to immediately fix the streaming issue

    Great product

Loved how quiet and clear picture was, and the ability to easily adjust using the built in stand. Unfortunately it didn’t throw or cast at a larger distance and maintaining a clear picture. Has great sound compared to larger units. Loved that it can be used without the power cable for a period of time. Definitely much better quality than the plastic units on the market. If it had more lumens perhaps it could project at a greater distance wile keeping a sharp and crisp image. I was not able to focus unit when closer than 2 feet nor able to adjust unit when not projecting straight forward. No left to right image adjustment. Great for small rooms and projecting straight on. I look forward to seeing more products from this company.

No benefit for me in the extra capabilities

Bought this to stream Netflix, Prime etc from my phone. Pixel 6 running Android 14 wouldn’t connect to the project although it was seen within the Home app. Also there appears to be no apps available in the app store so unable to go down that route. Internal speaker good enough for our needs so again no benefit in Blue tooth. So instead I have gone with the more basic ViewSonic M1 mini Pocket LED and using a Firestick which works great. Projector good just no benefit for me over the entry level M1

Reviews of M1+ and M2. I’m keeping both!

UPDATE: Streaming movies directly over USB C using a Samsung S20 FE does not work on M1+ or M2 because (I think) the phone pulls too much power. It will work for 20-30 minutes sometimes and then the projector shuts down. Works great with both projectors using USB C to HDMI. It just means the phone has to be fully charged.—The M1+ is an impressive piece of technology. It’s solidly built. The sound quality is excellent. Better than the sound from the cheap smart TV I’ve owned and on par with the sound from quality bluetooth speakers. And the thing is tiny. The problem is that it’s simply not bright enough for my liking.I bought the M1+ this to stream movies directly from my phone because I do not have or want separate home internet. I did however connect an Amazon Fire stick and a Roku stick to it just to test and it worked flawlessly. I think sometimes the resolution of the image my phone (LG V30) is sending conflicts somehow with the projector and the projector says there’s no input signal. Usually simply unplugging and re-inserting the USB C cable fixes it. (Note that I now have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and it does does not work over USBC to USBC but works perfectly using USBC to HDMI on both the M1+ and M2)I have grown to absolutely love this projector for what it is. If you want to be able to watch a show/movie on any wall using a tiny, well-built projector and less than 100″ image this is it. But it’s not bright enough to use in any room other than a very dark one.I also bought the Viewsonic M2 when the price dropped to $450 last week and that projector is in a different league altogether. It’s much much brighter and crisper, as well as quieter. It’s not as portable. Just because it’s called the M2 doesn’t mean it’s the same size as the M1+. It’s actually the size of the a 9×9 cake pan instead of a paperback book, which is still very small but not super portable like the M1+. I’ve decided to keep both because I love them both. The portability and long battery life of the M1+ makes it amazing for travel. Just know that if you’re looking for a projector to park in a room for daily use, particularly one with ambient light, the M1+ probably is not your projector, but the M2 might be. If you can get it for $450 as I just did, it is sincerely worth get getting. Also, the automatic focus on the M2 is also very helpful. The M2 produces a gorgeous picture. Easier to view in dim lighting than the M1+ which is obvious given the added brightness. I read and estimate that the M2 is around 300ANSI lumens and the M1+ is around 120ANSI lumens. Most nights I watch movies using the M2 and a screen size if around 120 inches and it’s really nice!Streaming works fine via wifi on the M2 using built in Netflix and Amazon Prime but there are no options on the remote to pause a video. How is this possible? It’s irritating but I finally figured it out. Also, and this might be a deal breaker for some, the HDMI slot is too close to the power cord slot to allow for a Fire stick to plug in, though a newer Roku stick does fit.One last note, I have a 100w USBC wall adapter and it powers the M2 just fine. No need to lug around the power brick that comes with it. A USBC battery pack that puts put 74 Watts or higher should power the M2. I don’t have one. I do have a battery backup with an AC plug and it powers the projector fine. So even though it doesn’t have a built in battery it can be powered by battery for outside use.

Meets my expectations and Worth to Buy!!!

Excellent product!!! With the low budget we can expect the good product.. video quality is VGA but feels like more than enough for seeing movies and songs.. sound quality is good enough for 10*10 room and no need of external speaker. Battery back up is 2.30 hours with full light and it’s tested.. need to have proper HDMA cable to connect devices else video will get stuck up.All kinds of videos HD, 4K high resolution can be played with this device and it will convert into its own format VGA. Auto adjustment is another plus point. With iPhone screen mirroring is so simple and we can get good quality of videos when compared to normal smart phones. Finally I can say worth of money and realisable product!!!

    Cinema in a pocket

I was kinda confused among good and bad reviews but when I received my package I was extremely happy with this projector. works perfectly, picture quality, sound I just love it. It has everything apps, playstore, not bulky at all. It’s perfect! So if you’re confused like me then just go for it.

    Pocket size but small utility

Disappointed first because few included apps are useful. Couldn’t actually use nexflix and mirroring doesn’t work properly.Plus it’s tedious to use only the small control to type.I don’t recommend this product. Pocket size sacrificed all the utility.

    This is great!

Great little product with just enough battery to enjoy a movie. Don’t bother if you are looking to use it for text as its pixlated. I wish they would launch a 720 or HD version at this price point. This is truly portable and the speaker is good too. The remote will only control the projector menu and a few apps. There is no native app for YouTube and you would have to use another app called SmartTube or the Chrome browser. Other apps will also want a mouse so I used my wired and wireless mouse by the USB port and it worked nicely. I bought a portable Keyboard and trackpad combo from Rii and it works beautifully. All in all a great little device. I wish it was a higher resolution at this price.
