Great Outdoor Tablet
I use this tablet to operate my outdoor endless pool with the fit@home app. Other tablets stop working in sub-freezing weather or rain. This one works great in extreme weather. It has a solid build and excellent wifi. Ideal for outdoor use in all weather.

Rugged performer but Heavy!
The tablet is certainly a quality built product, performs extremely well, is fast and the screen pen interface is quick and seamless, but carrying this thing around outside and holding with one hand and using the other is a real chore.

Im writing this review so no else loses money DO MOT BUY
There is a flaw in the operating system the screen will not register the actual area of screen that I actually touch called Amazon tech support they said tocall samsung they can’t help unless they can do a remote inspection that is impossible to make happen if i can’t even get to correct screen to start theremote session i have had several different versions of this tablet and had NO problems only reason I need to upgrade this time i ran out of storage had to upgrade grade from 64 to 128still don’t have a tablet but a paper weight do not buy this tablet nether Amazon or samsung will help oer refund or replace my tablet that was bought 2 months ago

piece of junk – not worth it
It has dual SIM card support but useless. Comes with a phone app, but you can’t make cell calls with it. I tried loading different SMS apps, and can’t send nor receive text messages! It will allow me to browse the web but nothing else. It’s isn’t worth what it is being sold for. Safe your money

Do Research First to be sure…
The description says UNLOCKED but after spending 2 hours at AT&T store. Found out this was Not Unlocked. It can only be used on Verizon service.Very Disappointed. Now have to decide either return or go to Verizon.I put it in a package and returned it for refund.

No Samsung batteries available.
Samsung doesn’t make batteries for any of the Samsung Tab Active or Active Pro tablets anymore. The only batteries are third party with no manufacture date on the batteries. I could find Cameron Sino batteries for the Active Pro and Active4 Pro, but they don’t have a date so who knows what kind of condition they are in. I like the Active4 Pro Tablet but I won’t buy it if I can’t get a quality replacement battery with a manufacture date. Don’t forget these are Lithium batteries that can be dangerous.

Yeah but good luck finding a secondary battery…
One of the main features of the TabActive4 Pro, mentioned on all their ads, is that the battery is easily accessible, meaning one can swap in a new battery if the old gets tired. But good luck with that. Try calling up Samsung and asking them where to buy this mythical battery. First of all, good luck finding their phone number. They do NOT want you find their phone number. They do everything in their power to force you into an AI chat. Be prepared to waste hours with THAT. Once you get hold of a human being, none of the “experts” know what a Tab Active 4 Pro is. Their first response is to tell you to contact the repair department, because why else would you want a battery? Their second response will be to send you to the Samsung Parts page. When you tell them no battery is listed for the device, their third response will be that the tablet isn’t meant to have a replacement battery.Expect AMATEUR HOUR at Samsung if want any help with this device.If you don’t care that one of its advertised features is phantomware, then try it; but if you want a device that actually does what it’s advertised to do, look elsewhere.

Excellent choice for my Tab A8 replacement.
This rugged tablet is just perfect. Not too big, not too small, easy to carry around, the pen is very reactive, great screen, feels durable, attractive, buttons are in the right spots, lots of storage, nice case with a pen holder built in, easy to use. The only con is that the user’s manual is not available in English. However, it isn’t my first tablet and if you play with it enough, everything works as it should. Wish I had bought two.

Lighter weight than its predecessor
This can be a little temperamental to turn on-off at times, but overall, I love this device. A lot more choice during the set-up, easy to transfer apps etc, and easy to use (I’m a 1950s human with few tech skills). Dual SIM, SD card slot, and I’m able to connect my card reader to it to transfer photos between devices.I bought the earlier version, but it was stolen during my travels in Mexico. I disliked having to spend money on a replacement, but this one is definitely an improvement on its parent.

Nice rugged tablet with some good features and some not so nice quirks
I got the 6GB RAM WiFi only version. It took Amazon a whopping 3 weeks to ship to Alaska – for Prime member! That aside, first impression of tablet were very positive. However, I’ve now had it for a few weeks, and am less excited about the tablet. Many nice ideas, and nice execution on some, but not so much on others: the tablet is quite heavy. The separate ruggedizing case it comes with is a hard plastic shell. It is very slick and slippery, hard plastic, without rubberizing, texture or ribbing that helps holding the tapered (!) slick shape. Not easy to hold, and in fact I decided to order a different skin (RAM Mounts).The three physical buttons (Home, Back, Menu) are welcome but are black on black and very hard to see or feel. The fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button does not work for me most of the time (even though same type on my XCover 6 Pro works well for me). Maybe because of orientation or proximity to case ridge? The S-pen is way too small to be useful, especially when using gloves! It is too small, short, and the pen button cannot be seen (again black on black), nor felt (no relief). And finally, Bixby is just infuriating and difficult to completely deactivate and can’t disable or uninstall all. For a while, I could not even figure out how to turn the tablet off without going through the freaking bixby routines. Overall, Bixby and Samsung UI appear more instrusive and annoying than on XCover, where I was able to deactivate it all. I do like to removable/replaceable battery, idea of S-pen (will probably separately buy a larger, older S-pen), and ruggedness (better with a different skin.

I’ve been looking for something that seems durable, between a “rugged tablet” and a flimsy typical one in the android space. So far, this fits the bill.I’m already in the Samsung ecosystem, so most things are familiar. Do not want to switch to the other side.Battery is replaceable, which is good.Battery life is excellent so far. Although I haven’t actually used it for a continuous 8 hours, I think it could do it. It has been on standby with occasional use over several days and more than 50% battery remaining. I have not used a Windows device that even comes close for battery life.It is inconvenient to actually turn off.It has been challenging to find apps that can actually do work, like Microsoft Office type stuff and PDF editing. This seems to be the drawback of trying to do stuff on a mobile android device vs a Windows based laptop or tablet by itself, without wanting to also move stuff from a phone to a tablet. There are many apps, but many are so so or worse. No shortage of apps for content consumption though.Has been mostly legible outside in sunlight. The “rugged” devices with claimed outdoor readable screens are many times the price of this one.The pen is also great.Being able to use familiar apps on a larger screen is a big deal for my purposes. The file structures are almost identical between the phone and tablet.I am finding ways to make it work for my purposes, so far, which is a big help. Hence the 5 stars.Some type of folio case with a keyboard would be nice.

It will take a beating!
I recently purchased a Can-Am Defender HD 10 Limited that came loaded with options. The one option missing that Polaris offers is the Ride Command. After researching the options I decided to purchase the Galaxy 4 along with a dash mount. I have paired it with two off-road mapping programs and it gives me the options I was looking for. So far I am very pleased with the durability and clarity of the picture. The GPS works without the internet which is important for my application.

I love this Tablet!
I love this tablet; however, Square does not. Square does not recognize the NFC feature on the tablet as it does the phone. I believe it’s because most tablets do not have this feature. My Galaxy Tab 7 does not. I hoping to replace my Tab 7 with another Active4 Pro. Just that it’s very expensive!!!
