Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde™ PH04

A more sanitary and comfortable atmosphere The Dyson purifier humidifier is designed to enhance the quality of your indoor air. Its activated carbon filter eliminates gases, while its HEPA H13 filter captures 99.95% of particles as tiny as 0.1 microns, and a catalytic filter eradicates formaldehyde. The Air Multiplier™ technology then disperses purified, humidified air throughout the space, providing cooling as needed.

Useful advice for humidifying your air Dyson purifier humidifiers allow you to achieve your desired humidity levels either automatically or manually. In Auto mode, simply set it and leave it. In manual mode, the LCD screen indicates if you need to adjust airflow, which can help you reach your target more efficiently. Additionally, remember that placing your device away from drafts and reducing the use of heating or AC units in your home can enhance its performance.

    Worked…until it didnt.

The humidifier stopped working just days after the return window closed. Customer service has been less than responsive. This is far too high a price point to be abandoned by the manufacturer.

    No warranty! Evil Dyson

As soon as I received the purifier/humidifier I registered the device through the dyson app. I received a warranty verification email. 6 months later the humidifier broke and Dyson refuses to honor their warranty. Do not buy off Amazon they will not honor warranty and this product is guaranteed to break. Buyer beware!!!

The most convient and smart air purifier and humidifer combo to make life more simple

As someone who lives in a city with mixed air quality throughout the year I find that air purifiers are kind of essential to a healthy lifestyle and this one from dyson is one of those very extreme purifiers that handles such tasks. For a msrp of $1000, it is not a normal purchase unless if one has serious health sensitivity to all the air particles this device can measure. As someone who has mostly use affordable third party air purifiers and humidifiers this is one of the most extreme purifier/humidifier combo I have ever tested.Lets start with the most important question, is it worth it? Not for the average person that’s not sensitive to specific air particles. For myself, I have not notice that the air in my home has changed in anyway compare to my normal affordable humidifier and purifier devices. It takes a very air sensitive individual and professional to adequately measure the claims lay out by dyson them selves. But I can say as a average consumer, that if someone is not a individual at risk of being sensitive to specific air particles, this device does not provide any health value compared to the most basic and affordable devices out there, especially not the price point. Why would one buy this device? Something I immediately notice after setting up and using this device for a few weeks is that it is very premium and pack with features that focus on convince. Instead of having a humidifier and purifier I need to clean, all I have to do is maintain one device. Dyson has also included two packets of cleaners to help wash the humidifier filter to prevent lime build up and it has a auto clean feature that can clean the filter right in its water reservoir. Furthermore, with an auto humidifier and auto purifier feature, the device automatically knows how much out put it needs to set to to keep the room within the correct levels so one does not need to manually adjust the settings daily. But lets say one does need to adjust the settings, that brings it to one of my most favorite features, its wireless connectivity features. Its app myDyson allows one to see all the air partial measurements and control the device from anywhere in the world as long as both device is connected to the internet. You can even add this to a smart assistant like google home, Alexa, or Siri to control it with your voice any time. I find that all this adds up to a huge level of convince that allows me to focus more on living my life instead of worrying about having to manage my air devices. So in a way, I’m paying mostly for convenience.Overall, this device is severely over priced, but its premium features allows those a huge level of convenience and detail oriented air quality management in a way normal air devices don’t. Those who care more about convince or air quality the most and have the money to blow, this will make life easier, but other than that all the more affordable air devices out there does almost the same job.

An elegantly premium solution at a premium price!

As most know, Dyson makes elegant (if not elaborate) products, and you pay for the quality in design and implementation, as well as the name. That being said, I am quite impressed with this device: From the unboxing presentation to setup, it has been an experience! As a fan, it’s moves a considerable amount of air at the highest speed, and is SIGNIFICANTLY quieter than a traditional box fan. Due to the bladeless design, it is also not a worry for children to stick a finger in. The sturdy base prevents it from being a tipping/falling hazard as well.As an air purifier, it is harder to gauge – But…I have noticed that my seasonal allergies have not hit as hard with this running in my bedroom. At times where my window has been open, I’ve noticed the display indicate that air quality was reduced, and in theory, the fan was doing it’s thing. The humidifier function seems to work well, though I haven’t used it as much just yet. Typically, I need to run one during winter time to help combat the dry air. The fan does come w/ a few cleaning powders for eventual needs – if you have connected the companion app, it should notify you when it’s time. Now that’s smart! The app is simple to use as well, and by extension, allows for smart home automation w/ your assistant of choice. I run Alexa for my smart home integrations, and have tested the basics of changing speeds and turning the fan on and off, and it’s been fantastic.Pros:-Quiet air mover!-Packed w/ features-App and smart home assistant enabled!-Elegant designCons:-Expensive-Unclear filter life-Only cools and humidifies – does not also heatAll in all, it’s been a treat to have this running, and I look forward to seeing how it handles replacing a stand-alone humidifier. I am worried about the “long term” costs of ownership w/ filter replacements and cleanings. One star removed given the massive expense.

    UPDATE—- Monster of a machine

***UPDATE*** — I’ve been using this machine for several months now and found a couple quirks that are irritating. First off the Wi-Fi totally sucks! I’m constantly going off-line and takes forever to reconnect, Its actually faster to just get up and grab the remote to adjust everything instead of your phone/app. The fan is also getting louder so I’m now turning it off at nighttime.I really put the humidifier to the test when it was really dry and I was waking up with a bloody nose. It worked great and I could tell a huge difference as soon as I walked in the room. The unit notified me when it was time to refill the water container. I’m not a huge fan of sitting water, so when I was notified I removed the container and left it out to dry for a few days before putting it back together. When winter really rolls out the humidifier will really make a huge difference.I knocked off a star because the noise level is increasing along with the Wi-Fi issues. Overall I’m still really happy with this unit.—–I’ve been using this Dyson purifier humidity + cool for a few weeks now and while it’s not whisper quiet like just the regular Dyson cool fan it still is quiet and I can leave it on #2 while I sleep even without turning on the sleep mode. ~I’m a super light sleeper.I really like the automation Dysons incorporated in this model. You can pair it with Alexa and also control it from your phone. It’s really sensitive to pollutants in the air. For example I was pressure washing the drive and its monitor read there was air pollution during that timeframe. What’s really impressive about this is the house was closed up, (I have new energy efficient windows), and the driveway is on the other side of my 2200 square foot one story sprawled out home, (which sits on a half acre), and the room where this Dyson was doesn’t have any windows facing the driveway. ~ I feel the details of my home and lot size really matter here, it’s not like my house is jam-packed in a subdivision where if you open your window you can touch your neighbors, there’s plenty of room for a breeze and fresh air.The unit itself doesn’t move, like the typical Dyson purifier, it has loover like blades on the front that will rotate left and right, and it also can reverse the air movement to come out the back, if you don’t want it blowing forward. I really like the fact that the lovers only move because my cat is intrigued by my other Dyson that moves, especially when the sunlight just catches it. This unit is also very heavy with a nice wide base. I’ve used the humidifier once just to try it out and it works fine. I only use distilled water in it to prevent any scale, but if it does accumulate any it comes with some anti scale stuff to run through it. I will be really using the humidifier more all winter because it gets so dry in the house, especially when we use the fireplace. So far I’m completely happy with it, and will update this post as time passes.

    Works great

I’ve always loved Dyson products. This is a great product, but what I have to ask myself is, is it $1,000 great? I don’t know that I think it is. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good air purifier and I do like it. I have no idea if it’s actually eliminating formaldehyde or not, but I’ll go ahead and assume it is. Aside from that aspect, it doesn’t seem to perform any better than my blue-air 211+ and I got that for around $300. So, I supposed if you’re a big Dyson fan or need to eliminate formaldehyde, it’s a great purchase. If you’re indifferent about what you use for an air purifier, I’d prob buy something else.

    Very good

I really like this unit. It is very well made and designed. It’s bigger than I thought which helps with its price point sum. I said sum which means it doesn’t justify it imo but it does help it make a little more sense. It is an incredible unit. It does keep the majority of our house with clean air and it does move air quite well too. Also it’s humidification I’ve found to be the best I’ve had so far and I’ve used a lot of humidifiers. Lol However with all that being said and taking in how well it performs and looks and the materials I still can’t say it’s worth a $1,000. But I also try to keep in mind that if this is as well constructed as they’re vacuums then this could be worth it since my parents vacuum is about 20 yrs old and still going strong. If you can comfortably afford it I say go for it. It is a magnificent machine.

    Dyson

Somewhat clunky feeling because it is a little big. However, it’s really nice and useful so far. The fans can blow through either direction and can be switched. The bottom is thicker than the Dyson that is only a heater and cooler due to the humidifier and purifier portion I think. Kinda wish the color didn’t have the bronze to better match my preference in aesthetic, but it’s fine. I noticed that the other reviews talked about mold, but I think with most large humidifiers, it needs to be taken and cleaned out/rinsed ever so often due to the build up of calcium or something. I think it’s pretty typical or large humidifiers. This Dyson comes with citric acid powder (3 packs) to clean it but I haven’t used it yet so I can’t speak on that.Set up was pretty simple. You just need to untape the parts and put everything back in. Initially, I’m not sure why, but you have to put water in the humidifier part to use it, which I didn’t love because I don’t need the humidifier part yet.

Wanted to like it but it has terrible flaws

I’ve only had it for two weeks, used in a small 800 SF room/apartment. Outside humidity is in the 20-40% range. Was looking for something to keep the indoor humidity around 40%. I’ve only filled it with reverse osmosis water so there is no mineral content in the water.Pros: it looks nice and the app and features of sensors appear to work like they should.Cons: it only raises the humidity in the room by 5% with it running on full power for 24hrs. The indoor humidity doesn’t get over 33% even when the machine is set to target 70%. It uses about the whole container of water in 24 hours which tells me it’s functioning properly, it just can’t do the job. I inspected the wicking material and there seems to be some growth of something on one end of the wicking cloth. Not sure what it is? Having worked with Dyson for warranty on a vacuum before, I don’t want to deal with that process again, so I’m returning it within the Amazon return window. Also, the reviews on the Dyson website are terrible, which I should have seen earlier.

    It looks great, but…

Obviously, for this price, you get a great quality product. Everything is functioning as it should and the product looks great. My complaint is that it doesn’t raise the humidity in the room more than 3-5%. This would be okay if that’s all I needed, but when I need at least 15%, I think I can say that it doesn’t work the way I’d like it to. The area I placed it in isn’t even that big. It goes through its tank in 24 hours, max. I’m just thinking, for the price, it should be able to do more than that.

    Worth the investment.

It can also capture 99.97% of allergens, pollutants, and bacteria as small as 0.3 microns with its HEPA and activated carbon filters. Moreover, it can maintain the optimal humidity level for your comfort and health with its hygienic humidification system that uses UV-C light to kill 99.9% of bacteria in the water. The Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde™ PH04 can also cool you down with its Air Multiplier™ technology that projects a powerful stream of purified air across the room. You can choose from 10 fan speeds and 3 modes (Auto, Diffused, and Night) to suit your needs and preferences. You can also tilt and oscillate the device to direct the airflow where you want it.The Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde™ PH04 is not only effective and versatile, but also smart and convenient. You can control and monitor the device with the remote control, the LCD screen, the Dyson Link app, or your voice with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri. Its very important that our air is as clean as possible. We had a smaller air purifier, but it wasn’t great for larger rooms. This isn’t in my price point but it is definitely worth the investment.

    Expensive unit

I am writing this after using for a while and comparing to a combination of using other units to purify, humidify, or cool. I live in an old apartment with very basic wall unit heat/ac units and have a cat. This unit senses irritants and adjusts to filter them out; when I had a candle lit or blew one out the levels changed, when the landscapers were blowing leaves outside it increased, when things had cleared out the levels went down. You can adjust these to not be automatic but I found myself rarely needing more or less than the auto function provided. This oscillates in a way that the unit does not move, rather fins located on the sides move, pivoting back and forth to change air direction. I was hoping it would do more to help with smells but that does not seem to be a feature. I have found that with the a/c units in my apartment the air is rather humid already, but in the winter it gets pretty dry when the heat is cranking so this helps with that when needed. I already had a rather intricate system of humidifiers for the wintertime anyway, but this adds a nice even water level without getting the huge clouds of steam and water condensation on the walls and furniture around it- I was able to get rid of 2 humidifying units I had. But again, I really only need that feature in the coldest winter months here in the northeast. I put this unit in my main living area, between the living room and dining/kitchen so it handles a majority of my space. The bedroom is closed off so I would require a secondary unit as this is quite large and heavy with water in the base, though I have considered putting it on a platform with wheels so I can relocate it easily closer to my bed. I like the app and the remote, both are easy to use, though when its on auto I find I don’t even use or need either. The app tracks data which is nice, but not really a feature I find myself looking at. The deterrent I see here is the price point, as a filtrating cooling unit and humidifier can both be found for a few hundred dollars each. At $1k which is quite high and out of reach for your average consumer. If you can justify the high price point, requiring both filtration, cooling and humidity constantly, this would be a great choice for you.

    Beautiful piece of garbage

This Air purifier and humifier started pretty good the first 6 days, after that this, Dyson device started making noises in the middle of the night, the humifier stopped working after those loud noises, I just let it run por a week thinking that maybe changing programs in the control it would work, nothing, and I just took my time to put it back in the box and returned it. So I don’t recommend it at all.

    Stay away

do not buy it, the worst ever, I replaced 5 water pumps and still got broke again, Dyson do not care about you spending $1000.

Oscillation of the vents is pretty cool

I have another dyson fan where the whole fan rotates to oscillate the air. This one is pretty cool as it has sections on both the left and right that oscillate while the bulk of the fan stands still. The dyson filters air fairly quickly. I was making some food and the air quality was getting a little worse. The purifier kicked in and had the air quality to an acceptable level in quick time. As far as value goes. It’s a dyson so if you’re looking for a budget option, this isn’t it. One thing I’ve noticed is that the filter does last for quite a while. Overall happy with this purifier/humidifier.

    Great monitoring

Quiet on its own, but does a constant monitoring. Really good at monitoring the air quality. Very nice that it has an app, so that you can control it from your phone. The app does get updated by Dyson. It also has a remote so you can control it that way. The design is really fun and unique.

HEPA Purifies 1000-sf. Humidifies. Oscillates. High, low, and gentle reverse fan.

Nice brand-name HEPA air purifier. The HEPA alone should be quite effective. Interesting that it target formaldehyde. That’s probably a good thing. It’s clever to include a humidifier, useful in the winter or in dry climates. Oscillating adds the comfort and benefits of air circulation, so i trust that it will completely exercise the air in the room. The gentle reverse fan is a nice touch. When i turned this on, the room felt fresher within a few minutes. The “air quality” indicator showed improvement well before half an hour. And kitchen aromas seemed to be swept away from my other room in around 15 minutes. I have allergies, and air purifiers are important to my comfort. This one is doing fine.

  25. Ann

    good so far

The air purifier is quiet most of the time, but if something gets into the air, it is pretty loud. It works very well so far. There is an app that shows you not only current iar quality but also how the air was in the past. I used it both with and without humidifier function. I like that I can direct the air forward to cool you kind of the swamp cooler style, but also direct it back so it doesn’t blow in my face when I do not want it. The remote controller can be stored on top of it, it is magnetic and sticks there wellSo far I am very impressed.

Not Sure if it’s Worth the Price Tag

I like the design, it elevates our living room appearance a bit. We were using a 100 dollar humidifier before this one and honestly I don’t think I see a difference. It’s only been about 2, now going on 3 weeks since we got it up and running. My husbands allergies go crazy during this time because the season goes hot then cold and then hot again in a day or two. It seems to do the job & has more features than our old humidifier but not sure it’s all necessary. It’s quiet enough that we can leave it on at night it doesn’t bother us.

    Works well so far

First off, yes, this Dyson humidifier/purifier/fan has a big price tag. But if you can afford it and it fits what you’re looking for, by all means, go for it. It’s impressive that 3 different appliances are combined into this one contraption. And if you really look at the features, this is a really neat machine. In my opinion, all 3 functions work well, and I’m happy with it so far.I have bad allergies, so I keep air purifiers running 24/7 in my living room, bedroom, and office. I set this Dyson up in my 350 sq ft bedroom, and it’s been running nonstop for about 1.5 months now. It’s right next to where my dog sleeps every night, and I can tell the air purifier part is working because the room doesn’t smell like a dog (as much as I clean and vacuum, there’s always a dog smell when you own a dog that loves spending time outside). I also am not waking up stuffy or sneezing from my allergies.Does it perform any better than the $150 Bissell purifier I used to have in my room….yes! Based on how clear-headed I wake up compared to when I had my Bissell, I truly believe this Dyson is doing a superb job capturing AND containing air contaminates. When it comes to the fan on this Dyson, it works really well, and I love that it oscillates 90deg. There is a night mode (makes the fan quieter and dims the screen), but that also makes it pump out less air. This is not a super silent fan, and is similar to other fans out there – the higher the speed, the louder the noise. But it’s not obnoxiously loud… for reference, I keep it at about a level 3 or 4 when I got to bed at night and it moves air really well. If you don’t want the cooling from the fan, it even has an option to reverse the fan, so you can still get clean air without it blowing out the front! I love this feature for chilly nights!I’ve been using the humidifier for about 3 weeks now, as it’s just now getting a cold and dry where I live. Anytime I start using the heater, my skin immediately notices how dry the air is. I wake up with dry skin and chapped lips. I usually set a few humidifiers on both sides of my bed, but with the overhead fan running, I feel like the humidifiers are useless. I’ve been impressed with this Dyson humidifier because I don’t noticed the dryness in the air at all – so it’s doing it’s job of keeping the room very comfortable. It also displays what the humidity is inside your room, and it matches up exactly with what my Nest thermostat will tell me in the Nest app! I only use distilled or filtered water in the water tank, and so far, I’ve had no issues with this thing. So far, this Dyson has been a great addition to the house. I haven’t had to do any maintenance to it yet, but I can update this review if I start having any issues with it.

    Works as Expected so Far

I was very hesitant about ordering this, considering some of the negative reviews. But I figured that it was possible Dyson made some adjustments if they knew there were issues with it, and maybe they got the bugs worked out. All I can say for now, is that it works – for now. From the purifying to the humidifying features. Now, if there’s an issue with this unit a few weeks from now, I’ll be sure to return and update my review accordingly. One thing that I did take a star off the rating for was that I have a suspicion that I got a repurposed unit. I found it slightly odd that the box it came in looked a little worn, even though it was shipped in another box. The store-version box had shipping labels for what I assume is an Amazon distribution center. So maybe it’s just typical for Dyson to ship their original box to them, and it’s packaged at a distribution center in a larger box. But the condition of the box and the placement of packing tape in some places had me considering that maybe this was a model that had been returned, fixed, and then sold again. Which if that was the case, they really need to state as much in the product description. Especially if the price is identical to what it would cost to buy it new in stores. But fingers crossed that there won’t be any problems with this one. Still not 100% on whether the product is worth the MSRP, but time will be a good measuring stick for how well this continues to perform as it did the day we got it.

    Expensive but worth it

I may be a bit biased when it comes to Dyson. I agree with a lot of people that their brand of items is very expensive and there are cheaper alternatives out there. That being said, I do like their products and feel that you are getting a very good, solid product. For that extra little bit of quality and performance, the large price may not be worth it for most, but for me, it is worth it. I find value in that extra little bit. This is true for this device as well. We have other air purifiers, but this takes it to the next level. It is a bit quieter and has a way better air circulation. This has a few different layers of air filtration. We live in Houston and near some oil/chemical refineries. On rare occasions we would smell something weird in the air and I am curious as to how they will be noted/indicated on this device. Hasn’t happened yet.I have not had a chance to run the humidifier and I am hoping it will be better than the humidifiers we’ve been using in the past. Again, being in Houston, we are used to the humidity and so in the winter when the heat kicks in and the humidity level drops, our skin dries up really quickly and badly. I’ll be able to comment after the winter. I’m hoping this will replace needing the other traditional humidifiers. It comes with some citric acid powder to help clean the system if you use hard water. I suggest using filtered water, if possible, to help prevent clogging issues.I am overwhelmed with all the features it has, but luckily you can just set it to auto and be done with it. I may deep dive into more of the features it has later. Especially when we encounter that chemical smell in the air. It does give my wife a peace of mind when she sees the air quality gauge indicating that the air is good in our house.

    Luxury Fan

I have owned the Dyson Pure cool Link TP02 tower fans for about 5 years now and they’re still going strong. I have also recently acquired the Dyson Purifier Cool Gen1 TP10 purifying fan. This fan brings the best of those two fans with a couple of added benefits. I have moderate to severe allergies to things like pollen, various dust mites, certain pet dander, mice & rat droppings and urine, and cockroach droppings and urine. The Pure cool Link fans worked well for apartment living as I did not have central air and heat, and no matter how clean I kept my place, if the neighbors had pests, so did I. Now that I own a home, there’s more space so I needed more fans for the rooms I occupy most frequently as I don’t like having to move them around from one room to another, carrying them up and down the stairs. The original fans were great as air purifiers, keeping the place cool, and even had connectivity so that I could control them remotely even outside of the home. Yet the Purifier Cool TP10 fan is more effective at removing particles in the air, it lacks the connectivity so I can’t control it.This fan has all of the features of removing more particles while maintaining the wifi connectivity. Additionally, it claims to be able to detect and remove formaldehyde in the air, something neither of my other Dyson fans can do. To make it even better, there is a built-in humidifier. I live in a humid area so I don’t really need that. But winters here can be quite dry so having a humidifier helps a lot. know it sounds counter intuitive to have a fan on in the winter but that’s where Dyson has thought of everything. Although this does not have a heating element, there is a backward airflow mode, so that you can still use the purifier and humidifier without cooling. The base of this fan is much heftier than the other two and the actual fan area is not as tall. It also only has 90 degrees of oscillation where the TP10 has almost 360 degrees. This isn’t a problem though, because with as powerful as this fan is, it can cool any room in your home without issue. It is very expensive though, so if you already have good working central air and heat, I’m sure you can find slightly less expensive air purifiers and humidifiers. But there’s just something about the quality of Dyson products that I’ve come to love.

Beautifully designed, and Dyson quality is evident

Dyson is usually synonymous with expensive. I think there is a reason for that though. Dyson is intentional with an absolute no compromise to function. Every Dyson item I have purchased functions as expected, with no compromise. This filter is no exception. It looks great in main living rooms, its not a big ugly box, that you want to hide away.Dyson built some nice features in to the app as well. It tracks air pollution, and adjusts to correct it. I love that you can track room temp, humidity, and air pollution via app, from anywhere in the world. This filter can adjust automatically, or you can adjust it remotely by app, or remote control. As you would expect that included remote has a very apple feel to it. Dyson prioritizes the little details, like great packaging, to give an elevated experience, an aluminum remote for a more substantial feel, and luxurious finishes. These things may not all be necessary in function, but they do add to the experience, if you value them. The quality inside this Dyson filter appears to match the attention to detail on the outside. I would expect the service life of this filter to be similar to all of my other Dyson items, and far exceed my expectations. Not to mention Dyson products just work so wonderfully.

    Futuristic Air Purifier/Humidifier

I recently built a highly energy efficient home in the mountains of NW Wyoming and have installed several air purifiers, primarily for the wildfire smoke from Canada and neighboring states of MT, WA, OR and ID. I have purchased them from the warehouse clubs and from Amazon, all with varying levels of effectiveness. I even made one for the garage using a box fan and furnace filters. The Dyson unit is so far advanced over all the other air purifiers I have. What I was most interested in, was the formaldehyde mitigation functionality. Most new (and old) US homes outgas formaldehyde in varying amounts and I was most concerned with our closed-cell and open-cell spray foam insulation we have from foundation to roof peak. Yes, our home is well protected from the Wyoming winter cold and the hot summer sun, but on the other hand the foam does outgas formaldehyde. If you naively use air fresheners, you most certainly are adding formaldehyde and other VOC’s into your room air and you should consider this unit (or stop using air fresheners).Stealth OscillationThe directional airflow was a welcome change over other oscillating air purifiers I have as you cannot see the unit oscillating. The air vanes oscillate, and they are quite stealthy-I set the unit to oscillate but could not detect any movement until I looked closely at the air vanes. This air purifier would be good in a home with pets, as the oscillations will not distract them. The Dyson app is well designed, and its functionality is good. I can immediately see the air quality in the room, unlike my dedicated air quality monitors that take several minutes to “catch up” after I pull up the app. The unit’s color display also shows the air quality. The unit will automatically detect and respond to decreases in air quality. It is practically set and forget. If you do not want air blowing on you, you can set the unit to reverse flow and it purifies and humidifies (if selected) without blowing air on you.The remote attaches magnetically to the top of the unit, albeit weakly and unreliably. I have another similar Dyson unit (HP10) that securely holds the remote. This unit allows the remote to fall off easily-you may want to hot glue a magnet to the top to replace the magnet in the unit that does not hold the remote. The humidifier function is interesting and air quality professionals do not recommend an air purifier that also humidifies due to microbial growth in the unit and delivery of airborne microbes, the Dyson unit is designed to avoid that. It comes with several descaling packets. The replaceable filters are easily removed and replaced.NoiseNone. The unit is absolutely quiet when on “auto” cycle and is barely discernable when the blower speed is increased. This unit would be compatible with a sleeping or bedroom area. We have it in our family room, and it does not disturb the tv. The “night” function dims the display so as not to disturb sleepers. The Amazon Alexa app is easily linked to the Dyson Air Purifier function. The unit can be controlled by voice, smartphone app, remote, or on the unit keypad. The unit looks smart with the gold base and silver top.Certified OperationThe unit has several certifications and standard testing methods that provide assurance that this unit actually does what it is supposed to.Bottom Line: One of the best air purifiers out there.

    Multi-functional air purifier plus humidifier

Have been a long-term user of their vacuum and this time I was able to give it a try for their multi-functional air purifier.Comes with a full set of accessories, including all filters, 3 bags of descaling powder, a charging cable, a remote control, and a starter instruction. The machine is actually very easy to set up and works immediately. There is a small display at the front of the body and it’s a colored LED so that the air quality can be monitored simultaneously when the machine is running. Absolutely love this feature.Other than the basic function, it also supports app control as well as voice control. As I tested with Google Home integration, almost all the functions that the Dyson app provides are also on the Google Home app. Pretty user-friendly if you don’t want to install the dedicated app.For the humidifier function, it works well as expected. I was a long-term user of a humidifier and the most annoying issue was consistently changing the filter. The filters on this machine run much longer than those with paper filters. So much convenience!Overall I had no complaints so far, highly recommend it if you need a high-quality multi-functional air purifier plus a humidifier.

    Makes my home smell amazing

This Dyson air purifier, humidifier cleans my air and it smells amazing. I have it in my living room and it has definitely improved the air quality. Upon arrival, the packaging was taped up and wrapped up really well. The LCD screen shows you the impurities in the air and the process of cleaning it. It is definitely versatile because it cools the air as well with three fan modes. I like the gold remote it comes with that allows me to control it from a distance and with my apple devices and Alexa. I also loves that it comes with a cleaning kit. This is well worth the price and I would highly recommend this too my friends and family.

  40. Ann
