This might be a good drone in open areas
After thinking over how I was going to use this drone. I never even opened the box. I wanted a drone to check my eves troughs on my house. Because I have to many trees close to my house and the chance I could crash a drone. I decided to not keep it and crash it and be out $650 in money.

Best drone for the price
I did a lot of research into drones and concluded that for this price point, this is the best drone you can buy for photography. The only disappointment I have is that for so much money, you don’t even get a carrying case or SD card. Without an SD card, you can only take low resolution and unprocessed pictures. You don’t get any of the smart photography features of the drone.

Love it!
At very close to 71 YO, this is my first drone. Crashed it once into tree limbs and it survived. Learning a lot with this drone. Takes really nice video and pictures. Seeing your property from above the trees is a whole new aspect. Haven’t tapped half of the things this drone can do yet. Took me awhile to learn the Mini 3 doesn’t have precise Return To Home. Going to practice a lot and then buy the Mini 4 Pro. If you buy this as an older than dirt beginner like me, you won’t be sorry.

Absolutely Amazing!
Greatest drone package for anyone. I’ve had a dozen no-name cheap drones, they don’t even compare to the DJI Mini 3. This drone is just the bees knees. Holds itself impressively steady in windy conditions, controls are easy and intuitive. The remote control with the screen built-in is a must have compared to using my phone. And don’t be scared of killing your drone, these are designed very well, crashed mine into a tree branch but didn’t phase the drone one bit. Can’t say enough good things about this drone. Battery life is just great compared to any other drones. If your looking for a drone to take stunning videos and pictures with, then this one is for you. NO regrets. Thank you DJI for building such an amazing product. Fly more combo is the only way to go. PS…get yourself the propeller holder and a launch pad.

Very stable with crazy range
Like all DJI drones the Mini 3 is a very capable little machine. 4k vid in HD is a step up from my mini 2. Very responsive in all 3 modes and vertical shooting for quick shots are pretty sweet. Gimbal is a game changer from the mini 2 however and the imagery and video are insane. I just got the standard (non pro) as it has the exact same camera sensor as the pro but without the obstacle avoidance. This is literally all the drone anyone needs for recreational flying and for someone getting into photography.

DJI Build Quality.
I’ve owned many DJI Drones and products including Professional and Industrial ones. I’ve also crashed many of my drones on the earlier stages of its life about 10-years ago. Fast forward to present time. I bought this drone as a new starter, mostly for my son but I’ve been flying it. It’s definitely fun, but I have to say, the gimble is not sturdy nor is the plastic used for the build. Upon strong to mild winds, the gimble becomes unstable thus making the drone seem unstable when in reality it’s not. Everything about this drone is great, besides it’s built quality. And my crash was very mild to say the least. I own the DJI RC Remote Controller, but not being able to see where I’m going most of the time really takes the fun away.

Perfect Drone for first time Pilot!
I have been looking for a drone for several years for recreational use and have been following the highly regarded DJI lineup. Through my research and reading countless reviews/watching videos I decided to purchase the DJI Mini 3 with the fly more package and I couldn’t be happier. Easy setup, it flies like a dream, I do have experience flying RC helicopters, so I did not need the full 360′ collision avoidance in more advanced and $$$ models. Great features and value for the price. The video output has far exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for much more than a toy, this is the one I would start with.

Dji makes great stuff
We all know dji makes great drones so this was an amazing deal. I’ve already wrecked it a couple of times and it only ended up having light scratches to the blades and just in case one of the blades did break they included extra in the box.I’ve had the regular controller you use with your phone and then just got the new RC controller. This thing is great. High quality pictures and very responsive so far. In the bright sun it’s still no problem seeing it at all. Definitely a slight learning curve with how to sync the pictures you just took to your phone and where the wifi and brightness was but after a couple of YouTube searches I found everything out.Ended up picking up a soft case that paired perfect with the drone and controller.10/10 product

Best starter drone
When I say best starter drone I mean it. This was my second drone with the first being one of those cheap Walmart ones like $60 and was hard to control. This one however is advanced enough to hover in place and land itself with the return to home feature. I was very hesitant on spending this much and crashing it but as soon as I put it in the air it was so simple to use. The left stick is up down and rotate left and right. The right stick is forward, backward, left and right at the altitude you have it at, at that very moment. do yourself a favor and watch a first flight video on this drone and you’ll see just how simple it is to use.

Fantastic Drone!
DJI has expensive but fantastic drones. Video is stable, clear, and the video transmission range is outstanding. Keep in mind that the Mini 3 does not have some features. There is no follow me, or any type of active detection for obstacles, and the really cool feature of obstacle avoidance. For those features get the Mini 3 pro or the Mini 4 pro.

Love This Thing!
I had a less expensive drone previously and it was clear why it was not higher priced. The DJI Mini 3 is leaps and bounds better for only about double the price I paid for the other brand. The RC with built in, touch screen is fantastic. Flying the drone is easy and fun. Great cameraClear, good zoom and moving the camera angle up and down while flying is super easy. I 100% recommend this drone in the below $1,000 range.

Great beginner drone.
This drone is great for beginners like myself. It is very smooth flying and takes great photos/videos. The controller works very well and you don’t have to waste time connecting a phone or tablet. I flew it in 10 to 15 mph wind. The videos/photos were still very clear.

The best buy of the year
I got this at a very lucrative deal, which gave me around a $100 discount. The delivery was on time (could have come earlier but I love the wait). Coming to the drone, I believe for the price I paid for this, we usuallt get a dji mini 2 se and can never be compared with the mini 3 , mini 3 destroys mini 2 se in almost all fields. Well built, not even a tiny bit of imperfection, everything works as it should. The Materials and the moving parts dont feel flimsy at all. The flight time is a full 30mins even when it says 38 on the box. I am talking from real life scenarios. I would suggest buying a highspeed sd card preferably 128gb, but I highly doubt you will be able to fill it. The connection is flawless and the reception is too good. Camera quality annihilates any other drones in this category (please note its competition is mini 3 pro which nothing but the same drone with a obstacle detection, which I dont need ofcourse). The mini 3 recently has received a firmware upgrade which lets it take 48mp stills (hoping they add tracking, afterall its just a software feature). The return to home feature works flawlessly and I have used it almost everytime I am done flying it, its precise unless you are in a remote area with less gps coverage. Overall I am very satisfied with the buy, this is a marvel of modern technology and I would suggest anyone who wants to own it to not think twice and pick it up. If you are novice flyer I would suggest u to go for obstacle avoidance system which is in the pro models. Get the fly more combo if you want to fly it more than half an hour because the charging time is more if you use the drone itself to charge. I believe the fly more combos are a steal with the package that they offer. Go get this guys you wont regret buying this.

Well designed
Incredible quality of materials, Flies like a bird and has very sharp video image. Can go 300 Meters before signal gets weak. Has low noise. Is great fun to fly around my big property . Lets you see the top of your house like a bird. Both fun and useful for patrolling your land property . I can fly up past 120 meters vertical and see far away mountains , ocean. Does not have collision avoidance .

Worth every penny
This thing rocks in every way. I was never into drones, but putty my house on the market and needed drone shots of the land. One guy quoted me $150 for just pictures. I was like heck I can buy a drone and learn to fly it for less than that. I got one of those cheapy no name ones on here for like $80 well you get what you pay for. It wouldn’t stay connected to take pics would blow around with the wind sent it back. Said forget it spend the money buy the good stuff. It cost about 10x as much but was worth every cent. This thing is amazing. Pictures are gorgeous. Super easy to fly and figure out. Doing the test run with the cheapy one probably didn’t hurt any though. But this dji mini 3 is spectacular. My only gripes about it which may be theyll change on future versions. 1. I wish you could zoom out the camera, yes you can fly further away but I was scared to take it that far first run or that high. 2. I wish you could record and take pics while recording like you can do on some cell phones. If there is a way to do this I couldn’t figure it out. 3. It’s got this booster pack to charge 3 batteries, but it will only charge them one at a time and with a USB cord, you have to provide your own plug. For this much money it should come with a plug, or even better straight plug to an outlet and charge all 3 at once.Some tips, watch a YouTube video or two of starting out. Do not plan to use it the day you get it. All the batteries need to charge up to become active (probably overnight) and you have to set up an account, register stuff, downloads firm ware updates and install them. So set up to start takes maybe an hour and first charge of all the batteries and remote like 6-8 hours, I forget how long. But you’re not going to open it up and go fly so just a heads up there.Other than that it’s awesome.

Its great for beginners and even me who has flown drones for years.
I sold all my expensive drones and I do video work and needed some elevated video footage recently. It did the job. It will fit in my backpack. High winds will crash this drone because it is so light. It will give you a high wind warning so you can fly it lower. Its more than a toy but if you want drones that can fly in wind don’t buy this one.

Affordable and capable starter drone

Great video quality, relatively easy to fly and very modifiable button layouts to ease the learning curve. Right out of box and flew around first day without much difficulty. Did have some issues deciphering transferring videos/ photos off the drone and to a shareable device however there are videos galore on various social media platforms. The attached video is my first flight. For me, it was worth the money. In retrospect I probably would have splurged for one with more onboard sensors to prevent hitting branches or other obstacles, would have made it more difficult to have accidents but seems sturdy and haven’t had any issues to date. Controller is amazing!

I have been long thinking about buying a drone, and now I have. I have to say the features are very mature from the engineering point of view and for the use case. It is a drone for aerial photography and videos. The range is about 2km, 1.6 miles for the practical use. The camera is better than I expected. You can survey ground and shoot very nice pictures and videos

I had a RUKO G2 drone for a little over a year but I started having issues and getting it repaired was a royal pain. Then I bought this DJI… It was a world of difference! Like going from Elementary school to High school. From Satellite connection speed, micro fight controls, camera image quality. You can even easily land it in a 12″x12″ square. Good luck doing that with the RUKO…

I had some laying around that were not the speed needed, and the drone refused to use them. I bought this product because I have been eyeing drones for a little over a year now and this one seemed like it would do what I wanted.One of my friends has the DJI Mini 2 and I have some experience with it, but this one is definitely an improvement on that.The gimbal setup is far more protected on this one than the 2 and the extended battery life is also extremely noticeable.I also love the controller on it. Though the controller is where I have to drop it down a star. This is only because, with the controller that has the builtin screen, it is a lot tougher to transfer your pictures and videos to a phone. The method provided is creating a local WiFi network to share files from the controller to the phone. However, it takes a long time to transfer videos, and things like some panorama shots are not able to be transferred this way at all. Obviously you can use the SD card to transfer to a PC or phone, but it would have been nice to be able to simply plug the phone into the controller and move files that way. Adding on to the SD cards, it’s very nice to have the extra slot in the controller in addition to the one on the drone itself.My last criticism is the lack of an included strap to secure the propellors with the fly more kit. I bought a third party one pretty cheaply that works nice, but seeing how there was one included with the mini2 fly more kit I don’t see why it isn’t included in this one.

Missing items
Well this is my first drone set up was tricky if you think your going to get a decent manual to set up wrong you have to go on website and get a app even then the video instructions were in Chinese although I put United States which was very frustrating they guy talked fast which meant the American subtitles went fast a decent manual with picture would have been way less frustrating.as for the items included in the box I have two missing items the x18 I believe it was screws and the extra propellers for the amount I paid I expect those items to be in the box when you go to report the missing items to company they respond with automated response telling you to contact Amazon which Amazon then tells you that you can ship it back for a refund and repurchase how inconvenient is that won’t give any credit to account for missing items nothing I needed this for a project and don’t want to deal with waiting for a refund then another delivery which you have to be home for yes you can buy those items on Amazon but propellers go for about 16bucks not much but if I’m paying 700+ I expect all items to be in box or the company to ship those missing items that that were missing it wouldnt cost them much to replace items that were missing I may be a bit dramatic but I feel slightly cheated out of that amount. As for the drone i flew it for a few minutes getting the hang of it the picture is nice and clear the drone is louder then I thought it’d be….it sure would be nice to have to extra propellers and screws as this is my first time flying one and well accidents happen …

I def would not recommend this model to those who are new to the hobby for lack of sensors. It’s quieter then any of my other DJI drones (AIR 2, P4, Mavic Pro). If your not a expert at flying go with a DJI model that has forward/rare/up/down obstacle avoidance sensors till you get better don’t skimp on this HUGE important feature!!. I’ve been flying & building model airplanes & helicopters since I was 12 so 30 years later, I would have never guessed the old mixed gas engine types we’d be so advanced & I love flying every chance I get, & I don’t even have to mix the gas anymore.Pro Tip – get the air screw props they are 100!

This drone is amazing but…
We love the drone . The camera is amazing and it is easy to operate.However we were using it off a boat and had a wind gust and the drone hit the side rail and went to the bottom of the ocean. About 30 feet down.We were able to retrieve it after two hours under water. We immediately remove the battery and put it in fresh water and then kept it in an ice chest.It has now been two days. Any idea if the battery will still work? We are worried about it possibly exploding.

Drone is fast.
I really like the drone, while flying, it seems pretty stable, and when you slap it in the sports mode, it’s actually pretty fast. The controls are very accurate. The drone is very light and I worry if I have a hard crash it will break I’ve crashed it a few times already had to replace some propellers, but it’s no worse for wear. For a small n light and small it is very powerful. Wish it had infrared camera.

All around fun, but make sure it’s the right one
The drone is fantastic, I am really all around happy with it, but I was sure(and wrong) that the Mini 3 had obstecale avoidance. I read several reviews that mention people liked the feature, and was positive it said it had it in the description. After going back and looking it was showing a comparison of the Mini 3 pro and the Air 3 by default and you had to switch the options to see N/A by the sensors in the mini 3 column. Slightly disappointed but not letting it ruin my day, i just would have spent the extra money if I realized it was more than just a different camera. Still a useful drone though.

Amazing technology and features, good entry unit if you can afford the price
It’s truly amazing what they can pack into this little package, it has features and capabilities beyond what I had expected:The flight time is long enough and range great enough that you can enjoy and explore without feeling that you have to rush back and land right away. The auto return to home feature is a life saver, it even warned me of aircraft activity in the area which I did not expect. Most importantly the images are rock steady even if maneuvering or in wind.I’d think of this less as a toy, and more of an entry-level professional photo / video platform. The Pro version would take that up a step by providing even better imagery.There are a couple things to keep in mind however:At 249 grams, this is below the threshold of concern by the FAA, and makes it easier to get into the hobby. It does broadcast DroneID even though it’s not actually required to do so; I wish it was possible to disable that for both privacy reasons as well as to reduce the battery drain. Also note that the battery is quite expensive and will eventually need to be replaced.

A good value.
After I bought it, I had some buyer’s remorse. It’s a lot of money for a hobby. The more time I spent flying and later looking at the video, the better I felt about my choice. I previously had an inexpensive drone. It was hard to fly and the video quality was poor. The Mini 3’s GPS assistance in maintaining the drone’s hover position and helping compensate for light wind is wonderful. The video quality is excellent.I chose to buy the controller with the built in touchscreen as opposed to the controller you have to connect to your phone. No regrets. It’s easy to hold and works great. The kit I bought also included three batteries and a charger for all three. Also worth the cost.If I had to think of something negative, it would be that the documentation is a little sparse. The good news is that there are some great videos on YouTube that prepare you for your first flight.Because of the expense, I fly conservatively. Time will tell if that changes. A crash would be heartbreaking, but seems almost certain over time. I’m not sure how I’ll respond when it does. In the meantime, I think this was the right product for me. I’m enjoying it a lot.

Great drone but lacks a lot of features of the more recent models.
All around this is a pretty decent starter drone. Its compactness makes it easy to store and quickly deploy yet it’s powerful enough to hold its own on a windy day. The camera quality is top-notch for how basic the drone is, and it does have a few master shot options as well. However, it’s missing a lot of the features of the mini 3 pro and the mini 4.It only has downward sensing obstacle avoidance, which can throw the drone into another obstacle as it tries to avoid it. The master shots are finicky as well, as the drone needs to be very close to the subject.For the price, it’s a great beginner’s drone, but I’d highly recommend spending a bit more and getting the mini 4 with its omnidirectional obstacle avoidance and extra features.

Got this for my son’s Christmas gift, he’s only flown it twice so far but seems to like it. He hasn’t had much of a chance to really get the feel for flying or pictures/video capiliblites of it yet.

Buy This Drone!
I bought this drone hoping to get into some filming and camera work for businesses. It’s not the pro version, but it still does amazing. With it shooting in 4K, I have been able to get some stunning shots of some beautiful places. It was great right out of the box, I haven’t had any problems with it since. I would recommend buying some extra blades, extra batteries, and a case. The battery seems to drain rather quickly and when it gets to around 5 minutes from empty, it starts beeping and it won’t stop. As for the blades, they get nicked pretty easily when accidentally run into leaves or grass, so I would recommend buying some replacements to keep on hand. I have no complaints and would recommend this drone to anybody. DJI is definitely at the top of the game.

Amazing, and easy to fly
This HAS to be the best single purchase that is a game changer for my daily life. Talk about fun, focus, and more than ‘interesting’ for a personal distraction and is fun! I learned, and got the hang of it in 10-15 minutes! WOW! I had the old totally manual ones before that are no longer operational. Now, it’s totally changed and different! I mean, I can set the controller down, and it will hover and wait for me to make it do something! The video is awesome, HD, and great color. I’d buy another if I needed one! I can see the more sophisticated ones on the horizon after I get thoroughly proficient with this one. (Good excuse to buy another! LOL) So, here I go into the drone world! Thanks a bunch for the speedy 2-day delivery!
