Seems durable, similar to Samsung phone, but larger. Great battery life.
I’ve been looking for something that seems durable, between a “rugged tablet” and a flimsy typical one in the android space. So far, this fits the bill.I’m already in the Samsung ecosystem, so most things are familiar. Do not want to switch to the other side.Battery is replaceable, which is good.Battery life is excellent so far. Although I haven’t actually used it for a continuous 8 hours, I think it could do it. It has been on standby with occasional use over several days and more than 50% battery remaining. I have not used a Windows device that even comes close for battery life.It is inconvenient to actually turn off.It has been challenging to find apps that can actually do work, like Microsoft Office type stuff and PDF editing. This seems to be the drawback of trying to do stuff on a mobile android device vs a Windows based laptop or tablet by itself, without wanting to also move stuff from a phone to a tablet. There are many apps, but many are so so or worse. No shortage of apps for content consumption though.Has been mostly legible outside in sunlight. The “rugged” devices with claimed outdoor readable screens are many times the price of this one.The pen is also great.Being able to use familiar apps on a larger screen is a big deal for my purposes. The file structures are almost identical between the phone and tablet.I am finding ways to make it work for my purposes, so far, which is a big help. Hence the 5 stars.Some type of folio case with a keyboard would be nice.

Nice rugged tablet with some good features and some not so nice quirks
I got the 6GB RAM WiFi only version. It took Amazon a whopping 3 weeks to ship to Alaska – for Prime member! That aside, first impression of tablet were very positive. However, I’ve now had it for a few weeks, and am less excited about the tablet. Many nice ideas, and nice execution on some, but not so much on others: the tablet is quite heavy. The separate ruggedizing case it comes with is a hard plastic shell. It is very slick and slippery, hard plastic, without rubberizing, texture or ribbing that helps holding the tapered (!) slick shape. Not easy to hold, and in fact I decided to order a different skin (RAM Mounts).The three physical buttons (Home, Back, Menu) are welcome but are black on black and very hard to see or feel. The fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button does not work for me most of the time (even though same type on my XCover 6 Pro works well for me). Maybe because of orientation or proximity to case ridge? The S-pen is way too small to be useful, especially when using gloves! It is too small, short, and the pen button cannot be seen (again black on black), nor felt (no relief). And finally, Bixby is just infuriating and difficult to completely deactivate and can’t disable or uninstall all. For a while, I could not even figure out how to turn the tablet off without going through the freaking bixby routines. Overall, Bixby and Samsung UI appear more instrusive and annoying than on XCover, where I was able to deactivate it all. I do like to removable/replaceable battery, idea of S-pen (will probably separately buy a larger, older S-pen), and ruggedness (better with a different skin.

It will take a beating!
I recently purchased a Can-Am Defender HD 10 Limited that came loaded with options. The one option missing that Polaris offers is the Ride Command. After researching the options I decided to purchase the Galaxy 4 along with a dash mount. I have paired it with two off-road mapping programs and it gives me the options I was looking for. So far I am very pleased with the durability and clarity of the picture. The GPS works without the internet which is important for my application.

This little tablet is great!
I needed a new tablet and wanted something rugged. The battery life is great for my needs. I use it during the day and plug it up at night. It is used for both work and personal. I would recommend this product.

Battery stopped charging within 3 weeks.
This seemed like a great tablet at first. Good specs. Allowed multiple users so we could setup our kids on it and, most important, it was rugged so our kids couldn’t easily break it.Unfortunately, within 3 weeks, as we were on a trip, the tablet just stopped charging. We tried multiple charging blocks, different power cables, and even reseated the battery. Nothing helped. When first plugged in, the tablet would sometimes charge a single percent but then it would stop no matter how long it sat charging. The tablet stated it was fast charging but never actually charged. Despite constant efforts to fix it, we cannot get it to charge and will be returning it. It doesn’t appear we are the first/only ones with the issue either. Samsung needs to figure out this issue. I would not mind trying it again if they did.

I love this Tablet!
I love this tablet; however, Square does not. Square does not recognize the NFC feature on the tablet as it does the phone. I believe it’s because most tablets do not have this feature. My Galaxy Tab 7 does not. I hoping to replace my Tab 7 with another Active4 Pro. Just that it’s very expensive!!!

I like it all – mostly though it ia a device with a good protective covering. good grip, solid, fast and clean optics. Not a fan of Android overall – but the device works for the intended use-case.

NOT LTE! Misleading listing.
I bought this primarily to see if it really and truly is a “rugged” tablet. It’s not. It’s a consumer tablet that comes with a case. Nothing really wrong with that, but this is in no way a “rugged” device. It, of course, only costs a third of what a traditional rugged device costs. So, if it breaks, some customers will simply buy a new one and still come out ahead.One thing that baffles me (in addition to why Samsung/Amazon would ship this via the US Postal Service who promptly lost it, and it took another week to finally get a replacement), why this listing clearly states “LTE Unlocked” when it is only WiFi and has NO LTE at all. I looked at the listing again, and it seems Amazon displays the standard version as “LTE Unlocked” even when it is not. There’s a box now that says “Wifi/LTE Unlocked” (which I am not sure was there when I ordered mine), and when you click that, the description changes to “5G tablet” instead of just “tablet.” So I now have a WiFi-only tablet when ordering a device clearly marked as “LTE Unlocked.” Grrrr.

A new defective Tablet
Bought it for myGranddaughter in another state, she started Nursing College this week to become a RN and depends heavily on a tablet. After they called the factory representative, they said it need to be sent back because of a defective touch screen and would be 20 days before they returned the now refurbished tablet repaired. I would have thought the would have sent a new one immediately as she needs it for her classes. It is a great tablet but just defective. They’re in Alaska where things are hard to get. Thank you

Great Outdoor Tablet
I use this tablet to operate my outdoor endless pool with the fit@home app. Other tablets stop working in sub-freezing weather or rain. This one works great in extreme weather. It has a solid build and excellent wifi. Ideal for outdoor use in all weather.

Rugged performer but Heavy!
The tablet is certainly a quality built product, performs extremely well, is fast and the screen pen interface is quick and seamless, but carrying this thing around outside and holding with one hand and using the other is a real chore.

Im writing this review so no else loses money DO MOT BUY
There is a flaw in the operating system the screen will not register the actual area of screen that I actually touch called Amazon tech support they said tocall samsung they can’t help unless they can do a remote inspection that is impossible to make happen if i can’t even get to correct screen to start theremote session i have had several different versions of this tablet and had NO problems only reason I need to upgrade this time i ran out of storage had to upgrade grade from 64 to 128still don’t have a tablet but a paper weight do not buy this tablet nether Amazon or samsung will help oer refund or replace my tablet that was bought 2 months ago

piece of junk – not worth it
It has dual SIM card support but useless. Comes with a phone app, but you can’t make cell calls with it. I tried loading different SMS apps, and can’t send nor receive text messages! It will allow me to browse the web but nothing else. It’s isn’t worth what it is being sold for. Safe your money
