When youʼve left something far behind, like at the beach or the gym, the Find My network hundreds of millions of iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices around the world helps track down your AirTag. And itʼs designed to protect your privacy every step of the way.
How does it work?
Your AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud then you can go to the Find My app and see it on a map. The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. And itʼs efficient, so thereʼs no need to worry about battery life or data usage.
Lost Mode makes finding things even easier.
Just like your other Apple devices, AirTag can be put into Lost Mode. Then, when it’s detected by a device in the network, you’ll automatically get a notification. You can also set it so someone can get your contact info by tapping your AirTag with an NFC-capable smartphone that’s the same technology that lets people pay for things with their phones.
Privacy is built in.
Only you can see where your AirTag is. Your location data and history are never stored on the AirTag itself. Devices that relay the location of your AirTag also stay anonymous, and that location data is encrypted every step of the way. So not even Apple knows the location of your AirTag or the identity of the device that helps find it.

Get one for everything
I’ve got one on my keys, my backpack, my wallet, and every luggage bag. Lose something? Your iphone will guide you straight to it. Biggest surprise? The battery is user replaceable. No tools required, and takes a standard CR 2032 battery. Get these.

I bough it so i dont loose my kid, but obviously it works only in very occasional circonstances. You may use it for a bag or something you may accept to loose it but not to monitor a kid or a pet

Amazing – always know my baggage is onboard the flight
This is a fantastic product. So relaxing to see the location of your baggage in the airport and literally on one occasion I saw it “running” after my flight when taking off. When arriving at the baggage belt you already know you didn’t loose your baggage. I now bought totally five trackers so even my hand baggage is tracked.

Its good if you are travelling you just put it in your luggage… and just use your i phone thats it….quality is what you expect from apple…. although my smart tag from samsung has more functionality, just note that airtag works only on iphone, smart tag only works with samsung. i have both.

Locates lost items as stated
Apple airtags are the best in the Apple eco system at what they do. If you are aware of its limitations (the item has to be perfectly still for precise location to work), they serve the purpose well. Apple hasn’t updated the product since the initial release, but it also means you can buy these and they will not become outdated.

I wish I had bought them earlier.
I keep one in my work backpack and the others in suitcases. There is an airport warning about tags but its only relevant to Lithium battery devices however it does not apply as these use regular cell batteries. It was good to see the bags had made it to the plane. When we left the hotel we would get a message a few minutes later than I would have liked for the alerts but when one checks on their location it is comforting to see them.
