    Amazing. Just amazing.

Bought this for a movie themed birthday party as well as family movie nights outdoors. Picture is crisp and bright. I took my new favorite toy outside on a giant screen (150″, could have gone much bigger), to every room in the house (including the ceiling). Each time the picture adjusted to crystal clear images. Unlike other projectors I returned, the Android TV 10 was very responsive. All my streaming apps worked great (except Netflix but I’ll use a firestick for that as needed). Happy wife, happy kids and happy me. Just buy it it.

    Dated interface

The interface is outdated and very sluggish. No integrated app to play files from USB, you must download a 3rd party app that is clunky at best to play files from a USB. To get Netflix that only uses mouse mode you will need to download another app. Navigating Netflix that uses mouse mode is frustrating.Anker if you read this, please update the software.

Camping. Too good to be true

The projector is wonderful… at home… with WiFi. As far camping goes to watch movies it is a joke. A gimmick. We recently went camping. I downloaded movies on Disney+ on my phone, brought my cables to connect, got the kids all set up to watch Star Wars for the first time in the canyon where the first Star Wars was filmed in the California desert. Setting set. Equipment running. Kids and parents jazzed for this moment and……nothing. Not supported. I have Disney app on the nebula. Disney app on my phone. But no way to play the thing. Nebula’s answer….bring a computer without the HDCP restriction or download movies to a hard drive in FAT32 format then download a file player app on the nebula then play the files that way. What a hassle. The entire idea behind this projector is the fact that you can take it into the woods and the weather and watch movies. My phone is dust proof and water resistant like the projector. Not my computer. It will not work with my Apple movies that I have purchased and downloaded either. What a waste. What a disappointment. What a total failure to execute on Anker’s behalf. I reiterate… this is a gimmick. This is a joke.

Top notch product. Great picture and sound. Only gripe would be the UI, which can be very clunky and takes getting used to.

Even my pets love this project!

I’ve playing around with this projector for a week, and even my cat and dog’s into it! The image and color are spot on, and the speakers are loud and seriously impressive. The battery life is solid, lasting for about 5 hours, and it’s even water-resistant, totally pet friendly. It’s got a kickstand and a battery bank to juice up my phone too. This is hands down the best portable projector I’ve ever had and I totally vouch for it.

Picture quality is as good as it says.

Love it. Worth buying. I didnt got a tv in a room, and this is worth buying, brightness is good a dim light room. Sound system tho not so bad, but is portable. Battery can last through 3hrs plus.

A decent projector/battery hampered by poor software and speakers

I was getting this as an upgrade to my mars pro 2 hoping it would be an upgrade. The picture quality is much brighter and the keystone is much better. However there are too many issues with the software to recommend at the price point. The Android tv 11 is over 3 years old and it shows. The interface constantly lags and remote presses just don’t respond sometimes. Also it’s perplexing to me why nebula/anker doesn’t get any of their projectors netflix certified so they can run the netflix app. Instead you have to download their janky 3rd party app that is absolute garbage. It basically accesses the web version of netflix that has poor picture quality and accessibility in the awkward mouse mode. Lastly the speakers were a big disappointment. I was hoping it would be on the level of something like the soundcore boom plus but it is not. The bass is especially lacking. All of the compromises and the high price make it not worth the upgrade from the mars 2 pro.

Great portability, slow and glitchy interface

Once you get past the slow and buggy user interface, the video quality is great! The interface is so buggy that I decided to plug an Apple TV into it hoping to fix it. However, my unit continually glitches and switches from the HDMI output back to the original, buggy interface that is android TV. I can hardly watch a movie without it getting interrupted by the projector automatically switching from HDMI back to android tv. Hopefully you have a better experience than I do.I do give it two stars for the portability aspect, video quality, and the speakers.

Good projector bad interface and poor support. Avoid!!!

I received the projector and it was amazing to test it for the first time. After trying all the applications I found that apparently there was an issue with either my controller or the joystick in the handle, one of them was apparently drifting to one side.I reached out to nebula but it was an awful support. And after sending an email daily I found that apparently the product had an issue rather than the application. The application of Netflix is also awful, filled with bugs and interface issues, which completely ruins the experience and usage of the product.I am currently traveling with it so it would be difficult to return it, but is a shame that I am stuck with it.I will have to continusly use it with a fire stick or a Google Chromecast, because if I use the apps within the projector I get the drifting cursor.

    Great picture and sound

The projector works as advertised. It will serve my purposes very well. I am very happy with my purchase.

  15. intCountZero

The product seems to be as adverstised, but it seemed to be abused in shipping.

I like the projector so far (except hate Google TV, no choice here). The hardware is very capable. The sound is loud enough but needs more treble. Not sure if I can manipulate this yet. The shipment arrive in rought shape. The box the project came in, was much larger than the product box, but had NO padding. So it slide around for days while it made its way to me. The product box itself had some knicks and chunks taken out, so I think it also probably went through a bit of an ordeal. Does not built confidence except for the fact that the unit is working, which shows it has a bit of decent durability to it. Would have provided perfect 5 if it had arrived in a better state.

    awesome portable projector

cons : focus could be better, light up also the area that doesn’t need it after focus, no Netflix, not great to use as a Bluetooth speakerpro : good battery, good brightness, remote do the job, solid build, speaker is enough, silent, no overheat

  17. The Tireman

    Sound not the greatest

Bought this projector for the outdoors at the cottage. Picture and brightness is good, as long you wait for the darkness. The sound, however could have been better, specially when you’re outdoors. But an outdoor speaker, which helps a bit, but when it’ plugged to the aux. it cancels the sound from the projector. So it’s one or the other. It does the work but I think it could have a better sound

  18. Patrick MacDougall

Love it except one thing …

It’s still new to me so I haven’t used it much, so far I like it except using Netflix on it. The projector feels like quality, has weight to it – amazing picture. I’ll be taking it camping with me next weekend. Because the speaker is so good, I’ll probably use it to stream music videos at the campsite… or maybe karaoke:p

    Almost perfect

Overall, beautifully designed product. Feels durable, like it will last years and years (we’ll see). Really seems like user experience was highly considered – little details everywhere make you feel like you’re in good hands. Image quality and brightness are solid, but keep in mind you’re not getting what you would be for a non-portable projector in this price range.Cons:- Software and apps are pretty sluggish, so far no major issues there though.- Really wish there was a quicker, more reliable way to adjust auto-focus and keystone – your options are slightly reposition the projector and hope it recalibrates automatically, or go through a pretty tedious menu system.- The tripod mount, which was one of the features I was most excited about, is horribly positioned (see photo). There is no room to mount a plate onto the bottom thread, I’ve tried a few different tripods… will require are spacer, but not sure I’ll even have room for that.

Nice form factor, supbar image quality

The media could not be loaded.

We purchased this proector to use as a mix of indoor entertainment and outdoor flexibility. It offers excellent flexibility, but the image is, 1. Very dim, 2. Has bad contrast, and 3. Has an odd speckle to dark areas that suggest they are using a laser light engine.I tried contacting Nebula to inquire about the light engine design. Does it use a color wheel? Is it 3 LED? Single DMD chip? The australian sounding guy on the line was very aggressive and would not offer any help. This alone makes me want to not buy any more Nebula products.

I like the product, decent lumens, though did not perform very well in colder weather climate outside and downloading videos into the unit was a bit tedious and should had been simpler for end users.

The best projector I’ve ever had!!!

I’ve used it for several days, and I would like to recommend this projector to anyone who wants to use it as a replacement for a TV! The resolution of 1980×1080 is more than enough to use at home (even though it is built for outdoor activities), but the brightness level also surprised me! I bought this project because it has a built-in battery, and it makes my life much easier!!! I can take the projector with me everywhere, and it will automatically adjust to a bright and clean image for me, in about 5 seconds!!!Besides that, this projector is originally built for outdoor use. It can be used as a charger, an emergency lighting device, or a speaker. The only concern I have for this projector is it is a bit heavy for me, I hope it can be smaller and lighter in the future generations. I’ll take it to a real camping site in the next couple of weeks, hopefully, I’ll enjoy the outdoor movie with my friends there!! I’m very excited and looking forward to it!!

Good concept, but can’t be taken with you when traveling on a plane!

Update – I must provide an update after customer support got a hold of me and provided an amazing service. They sent me the nebula capsule 3 for free as the battery is smaller which makes it possible to take it with me when traveling on a plane. What a customer service and great way to win back a loyal customer.—The idea is great and was excited when they released this version. My excitment quickly vanished after receiving the box at home. To my surprise the box had a sticker that says it can’t be carried on a passenger airplane! After doing some more digging, we can’t take a device that has more than 160 Wh and since this one is at 185Wh, they won’t let us! The whole idea was to be able to take it everywhere I go and now with this large battery, it is just not possible. I still didn’t hear from Nebula after posting a question. Will be returning it 🙁

Anker Nebula Mars 3 – Our First Projector

This is our 1st projector purchase, and I couldn’t be happier. Bought it with a Yardmasters 135″ screen and turned our backyard into an outdoor summer night movie theatre (i.e., Back to the Future). Took it camping over the weekend and we all got treated to a roaring movie (i.e., Maverick) under the stars. I bought this projector with the purpose of using it outside, but recently set it up inside projecting to a large wall and we couldn’t be happier. Got a chance to see Discovery’s Shark Week episodes and watching Air Jaws was spectacular. Definitely a different viewing experience! The battery life lasts about 2-2.5 hours at Max brightness and about 5 hours Mid brightness. The sound coming from the projector is really good especially in a decent size room. All in all, happy with my purchase and looking forward to many more movie nights under the stars.

    Works great!

There’s an optional storage case that’s available with the projector, I recommend the storage case. It’s one of the best storage cases I’ve ever seen, in the sense that there’s a little extra storage for doo-dads such as audio cables and whatnot, in addition to tidily holding the projector and its accessories. With regard to the projector itself, it works quite well, as advertised. It’s pretty loud, but not loud enough for every outdoor use case, so I paired mine (through an 1/4″ to 1/8″ audio cable) with an old guitar amp that I had lying around, and of course that’s plenty loud for an outdoor movie night. At our recent block-party outdoor movie-night, my neighbors were quite impressed by the picture quality.

    Perfect

Not very often do we find a product that lives up to the advertised hype- this unit not only lives up to, but exceeds in every way my expectations- build, convenience of use, built in smart features, and performance. Granted, not inexpensive, but the quality build and performance of use makes it one of the best products over ever purchased for the money!

Amazing projector for the price you won’t find a sturdier product on the market with a picture quality like it. I used it inside on the wall and outdoors on the projector screen. Just make sure you switch sound mode to outdoors for outside use was able to watch 2 movies on 1 charge max volume outside.

This One is a Keeper. Greatest Bang for the Buck.

The media could not be loaded.

    • OVERVIEW: It’s a KeeperWhen you watch reviews of the Nebula Mars 3 online, the people giving you their opinions uniformly praise this projector. Usually, this is a red flag for me. But, I am pleasantly surprised at how well it performs and lives up to the praise. The hardware and the build quality are solid. This is the mobile projector Apple might have designed and built if projectors were part of their product line-up. Physically handling the projector and accessories, the engineering, and attention to fit and finish are substantial. I initially gravitated to the Cosmos Laser 4K. However, the Cosmos Laser lacks an internal battery and the AI Environment adaption features. Also, the Mars 3 was almost 1/2 the cost of the Cosmos with a better feature set, IMHO. After living with this projector for the better part of a week, putting it through its paces, and digging through all its menus — I suffer no buyer’s remorse. This one is a keeper. The one sticking point for me, though not a deal killer, is that Netflix is not native to the Mars 3. You can sideload it as an APK (the projector comes with easy instructions and a single-button install). Or you can use your favorite streaming stick.)• SET-UP: Easy but a Little FinickyThe set-up was easy, but I spent the better part of an evening getting things set up “just right” because I’m a little obsessive-compulsive. So, if you’re OCD like me, you’ll want to skim the Quick Start Guide and familiarize yourself with the image correction and focus controls. The AI does a great job, but sometimes, you need the human touch on focus. Last, Mars 3 will automatically ask permission to update the Firmware and the Software ASAP after you connect to WiFi. (This is a good thing as it lets you know the manufacturer is paying attention to updates.)• THE GOOD STUFF: Image + Sound QualityThe projected image is rich and vibrant, even at 150in – 200in size. It won’t replace your regular TV for daytime use, but both in-house and outside, the Mars 3 really shines at night (see my projection comparison images). Color, contrast, and brightness really pop in the dark. Live football games, action movies, and even more reflective and slow scenes of nature show off how gorgeous the picture quality is. As for sound, as long as your sound levels are 25% or above, the 40W speaker fills the room. The Dolby Audio is crisp, clear, full, and rich. People who love concert movies and extra bass can always pair Bluetooth speakers or a sound bar to enhance the music. But unless you’re a great distance from the projector, the 40W is more than enough.(EDIT on SOUND QUALITY) Many reviewers complain about the Nebula’s speaker sound quality/volume when playing movies. This issue is specific to how certain movies’ have recorded their soundtrack. Some movies have crystal clear dialogue and sound beds. While others sound muddy and have dialogue that sounds muffled. An example of this sound issue is “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.” In the case of this movie, Harrison Ford’s dialogue always sounds muffled because he’s mumbling. But when he yells, the dialog is clearly audible. Sound on TV shows and YouTube videos are much, much clearer.• THE VERDICT: If you’re looking for a versatile, weather-proof projector that has everything built-in (portability, incredible video quality, rich speakers, streaming capabilities, long-lasting batteries, and the ability to function as a charging pack, flashlight, and Bluetooth speaker) this one is a no brainer. (If you plan on lugging this around, Anker makes a dedicated padded carrying case for the Nebula and all its accessories.)

    Finally found the one!

The media could not be loaded.

I tried a few projectors starting with the Anker Nebula Solar. I like that model quite a bit but wanted something newer with a bit more power (If you want something almost as good but your budget is limited I highly suggest that model). I then tried the Samsung Freestyle which is horrible in every way, please do not waste your money. Next I tried the Xgimi Horizon Pro 4k. It was on sale but still at the higher end cost wise but promised a much better picture. It did have a high level of brightness but I was disappointed by the picture quality. Even though it projected native 4k the picture quality felt subpar to my 1080p Anker and no matter what motion setting I adjusted I could never get the picture to look right without the “Soap Opera” effect. I was about to splurge on the Anker Laser Cosmos 4k when I discovered Anker’s newest model the Mars 3. It is not native 4k but accepts 4k signal. This confused me but the best way I can explain it is that it does not project native 4k but the high quality input signal puts out what I suppose could be described as 1080p+(less pixels but HDR, enhanced sound, and a surprisingly sharp image). I am so happy I went with this model. Not only is it 1000$ cheaper than the 4k model but it has so many cool features that make it portable. I like the AI image feature. That automatically adjusts the brightness based on your environment. Also out of any projector I have experienced the included speakers are fantastic. Since this model is meant to be taken around the house and outdoors Anker put the strongest speakers of any model into this baby. I considered getting external speakers for my Solar, but with the Mars 3 I am extremely happy with the built in sound. My two issues which I hope can be easily fixed by a software update is that there is some lag as far as loading and menu navigation with the remote. It is not terrible, no where near as awful as the Samsung Freestyle but still noticeable. I didn’t feel that was enough to lower my rating a star but something to think about. Also this does not come with native Netflix. There is a easy workaround by using an included Anker app however the experience is still not great. My suggestion is to just plug a Fire TV or Roku stick in if you use Netflix. You can pick one up for around $20. Again annoying but not worth losing a star. If you are debating different brands and models and looking at laser/4k try this first. I think most people will be happy with it and it is so much cheaper than the 4k models out there.

    Buyer’s Remorse?

Thought I would have buyer’s remorse after purchasing this projector, but I did not. Product feels sturdy/reliable and the quality is nice for 1080p. Bought this for camping and outdoor cinema. Jellyfin app installs and works like a charm. The one big plus I noticed so far was the projector used less battery power streaming off an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (USB power + transcoding) than it did through the native Android TV OS. Streamed Dune through stick for 1hr; used around 5% of battery and projector was running cold in Eco mode. Same stream used around 15% (expected) through native OS. Turn off the lights or wait until dusk.

Great, bright picture, and booming sound. Sluggish interface.

I have owned three or four portable projectors over the years. My family loves to go on road trips, and to have neighborhood movie nights in our front yard by our fire pit or out by the pool. The Nebula Mars 3 is the best portable projector I’ve ever owned by a mile. The picture quality is great, even if its only 1080p. Its bright, has excellent auto-focus and auto-keystone, and includes Android TV right on the projector. The sound quality is impressive, aMy only gripe is the projector’s Android TV operating system. It is incredibly sluggish, to the point that it can be frustrating to use, which is really a shame considering all of the other wonderful things about the projector. In addition to being sluggish, you have to install the Netflix app through Anker’s weird Nebula app, and you get what appears to be the same experience you’d get on a phone, not on a TV. You have to use a virtual “mouse” to move around the app, which is annoying. I am sure that this has to do with Netflix restrictions, not Anker, and good on them for coming up with a solution, but it doesn’t make it any less annoying. All that said, compared with all of the others on the market, this projector still comes out on top for me. My hope is that with some OS updates, the sluggish performance can be solved, which would easily make this a five-star item.

    Nearly perfect outdoor projector

I bought this to have movie nights outside in the summertime.I built a patio during COVID and I’ve been trying to find a nice BRIGHT solution that could be used outside with very little fuss.I was looking at the 4k Laser version of this with 1800 lumens for $2100, as well as a handful of other projectors in the 1200-1800 lumen range. I bought this with the intention of watching movies in the evening, about an hour before dark. This projector handles that perfectly. Have not had it running in full dark yet. See my photos for time/Brightness comparisons. Video for speakers/sound.It does NOT do full indirect sunlight — do not but this projector if you want to watch this on a sunny day.The reason I didn’t pull the trigger on any of those other projectors was primarily SOUND, most of them sporting a 10w speaker — intended to be hooked up to a separate sound system.I did not want to fuss with a separate speaker so when I saw this was a 40w speaker and a 1000lumen lamp I decided to pull the trigger. The speaker is loud! I did not want to turn it past 70% volume so as not to annoy my neighbors.Furthermore, a feature this projector has that the other did not is a battery. On the brightest setting I ran the projector about 2hrs and it still wasn’t drained. It comes with a long power adapter with a huge power brick. This means you could lug it to a campsite and could get one entire movie out of it without power. It is clearly designed to be weather/outdoor resistant — but do not expect to get this thing wet. There is a built in lens cover that also serves as the power switch. An a decent remote. There are a host of features, like a kickstand on the bottom and a batter bank so you can charge your phone. The wifi picked up outside on my back patio about 70 feet from my router.Android TV worked ok, but the is a bit of menu lag.I am excited about this. I hope it works out for this brand, because what I really want is a 4k laser version of this idea that won’t be destroyed as soon as I take it outside.

    Highly recommended

I am thrilled about this projector! I can’t wait to have movie nights outside with my family and friends. The 1000 lumen brightness and 40w speaker are amazing features that make it stand out from other projectors I looked at. The battery life lasts for about 2 hours on the brightest setting, and it’s weather-resistant with a kickstand and a battery bank to charge my phone. Even the wifi works well from 90 feet away! Overall, this is the best portable projector I’ve owned and I highly recommend it.

    A little underwhelming overall

This projector has a lot of things going for it. Being battery powered it is portable and since it’s waterproof and dust proof it can be operated outdoors with peace of mind. Overall it’s well constructed and feels ruggedly solid.I found the picture quality a little underwhelming. I was expecting a better image than what I got, and I only got something I would describe as good in very dark conditions. The image is a little noisy in the dark tones but this isn’t noticeable when sat at a distance with a moving image. Contrast is probably what this projector lacks the most, the image is just a little flat. The auto-focus is not great and it struggled to lock in a sharp image requiring a manual tweak. Not ideal considering this is meant to be moved around. Expect to spend a few minutes making focus and keystone adjustments before setting into your movie. At this price point there are projectors that will far outperform the Mars 3 when it comes to image—though they won’t be portable so I would only recommend this if you really need to use it outside. It’s worth noting that even though this is portable, it is bulky and heavy so don’t expect to sling it in a backpack and head off for a hike. What really disappointed me however was the sound quality. This is touted as having 40W speakers. I was hoping to use this both as a projector and as loud Bluetooth speaker. When watching a film in ‘Movie’ mode it does an OK job but it doesn’t feel like 40W of sound. But the sound is clear if a little shy with the bass response. Weirdly, when using this just as a Bluetooth speaker, the volume was significantly quieter. I don’t know why, perhaps this could be fixed with a firmware upgrade? Finally, the Google Play operating system is ok but sluggish. However, this seems to be an issue with many of these all-in-one projectors.

Best portable projector for those outside

I think this is the best possible portable projector you can buy for anyone who wants to be outside. It’s bright!! has a huge internal battery and comes with features you don’t find on other projectors. Only thing missing is a software update to bring the Android TV 11 up to date with Google tv with built in support for Netflix. easy enough to overcome with a streaming stick but it would be nice to see this get the software update.

Great if you need portability and built-in battery

I ordered this for camping trips. Although I have planned to use it with solar generator so having the built-in battery was not the number one feature I was looking for, what really piqued my interest was its portability and its water and dust resistance rating. The other selling feature that I personally liked was the Dolby Audio. With my old home theater projector which I sometimes used outdoors, I always connected some external speakers (often Bluetooth) because the built-in speakers were not good enough on that the old projector. With this project, however, the sound quality is remarkable! I don’t have to pack any external speakers with me to enjoy good audio for movies.I have tested the projector a few times. Although the auto keystone feature worked most of the times, only once it completed failed me during a camping trip. My theory is that it was because it was complete darkness and it was not able to figure out the edges of the projector screen edges. But when it is able to detect the edges of the screen, it works flawlessly. What I really don’t like about this project?I am not a fan of Google TV so I would have preferred a system that was not so dependent on the Internet, like Google TV is. On most camping trips, there is no Internet available so my goal was to use an external hard drive. What really disappointed me was that it is not as versatile in its support for external disk formats. I was not aware that it didn’t support exFAT. The only formats for external hard drives it supports are these: FAT, FAT32, and NTFS. I don’t use Windows so NTFS is not a format option I pick for my external drives. With FAT32, there is a limit of 4GB for the file size. If your video file is larger than 4GB, you cannot use FAT32 which is a bummer in 2023. I really hope that Anker adds support for at least exFAT but ideally also Apple’s latest APFS.

I’m very impressed with the video brightness (when in dark room) and the sound. It’s easy to move around and the keystone auto correction for it works amazing.

    used/returned item sold as new

Ordered brand new projector, not cheap, was evident this was a returned item as the seal was broke. No plastic film to be removed, shoulder strap white paper packaging ripped off, power cable not packaged at all. Debating on if I should return, but want to use it this weekend and don’t want to deal with the hassle. I get returned items still might be fine but I shouldn’t have to pay full price for an opened item! Went through setup process fine but getting Hulu, or Prime to work is difficult…lots of pauses and often errors to the point you have to start the application over. Network signal is fine and it’s not user error as Youtube works perfectly fine. Casting from my phone also works fine though getting that image to full screen takes some manual adjusting and is time consuming as you have to redo for each time you launch it. Really want to like this but thus far the $ spent is making me feel buyers remorse.

    Absolutely phenomenal

Upgrading from the nebula Mars 2 and i couldn’t be more excited. Better battery, brighter picture, better android experience. This thing is great. A little less portable, but expected with all the features. I take this thing everywhere.

Don’t buy if you’re an Apple user

I was very excited to receive my new Nebula Mars 3 projector. I have used projectors for years on my mural projects across the county. This one is a major let down. Long story short, I spent over 4 hours trying to get the “air cast” feature to work from my iPhone and/or my MacBook Pro. It would not. There are over 5 different apps in this Android projector that supposedly make airplay from your iPhone work. The first one I tried was the one Nebula recommends on their website: “Nebula cast” didn’t work.I followed the videos instructions to a tee. I connected each device to the same wifi network. Would not work. So I tried their “if this doesn’t work” advice, (because they are obviously aware of this problem) which is to create a hotspot with your device then connect the projector to the hotspot. Did not work. Then I tried “air pin” an app which costs $3. Did not work. Next up I tried “Tv and Video cast pro” and app which cost $9. Didn’t work. After about 4 hours and two more useless google air casting apps I gave up. I’m now deciding if I want to return this or shell out $60+ dollars for the Apple AV converter cable and hdmi cable and connect the old fashioned way. This should not be advertised as compatible with Apple products.

    Look elsewhere

I really wanted to like this protector. After seeing multiple YouTube videos praising it, I had high expectations. My two biggest issues were the super sluggish interface and low sound. It gets really frustrating when you are trying to go through the menus and clicking either the projector itself or the remote, and things just move so slow. Also, I set it up outside in my backyard and could barely hear it at max volume level and I was sitting right next to it. I returned mine and am looking for something else.

Processor is very slow, external connectors to HDMI/Aux not functional. USB-yes. Great keystone function but did not hold a full charge for more than 60 mins.

Good projector overall, but sound could use some improvement

This projector is good quality overall, but the sound could use some improvement. It is a battery operated projector. It can be charged so it doesn’t have to have a power source. One neat feature that is has is that if the lens cover is slid down, the projector automatically turns on. If it slides back up, it auto shuts off. It is waterproof and dustproof so no worries about using this projector outside. The projector can be used as a Bluetooth speaker, but I don’t use it for that, and don’t recommend it as it’s not what it’s made for really. The unit has an ambient light feature which is nice. I can see around the unit even in the dark. The projector can also be used as a power bank to charge through USB C or A if desired. It can also connect to an external sound source by 3.5mm aux jack which is nice because the sound was a bit lacking for me. It is by no means bad and it gets sufficiently loud, but it is a bit flat. It needs more bass/balance. The projector does come with remote which I appreciated. I did have a little bit of lag from the software. It’s a little slow. There is an option to use their app to download streaming apps like Netflix, but I don’t recommend using it because of the lag issues. I use a fire stick and it works much better. It has nowhere near the lag like the projector’s software. This projector can be placed at 2.5ft away for a 30 in screen up to 17 ft away for a 200 ft screen. I have used it at about 8ft away using a sheet stretched tight as screen against the side of my house. The projector does have auto focus and auto keystone adjustments that works pretty well but some minor adjustments still might be needed. Auto screen fit and auto brightness worked well too. The picture looks great at full brightness but at first, I was worried about battery life if I ran it at full brightness, but we were able to get through a movie on one charge no problem. Chromecast can be used if it’s connected to Wi-Fi. It also has an HDMI port, or it can play from an USB device. Overall, this is a great projector that is highly portable. Overall, this is a great projector, but sound could use some improvement.

    Great projector

For clarification, I have reviewed about 100 projectors in the past 16 months. I know my projectors.I love this one. For its classification, it is one of the best I’ve seen. Now, let me give you some advice if you buy any projector, not just this one, but any. Don’t use their installed apps like Netflix and such. The OS for projectors to use those apps is poor the way they are designed to use them. I highly suggest using a Roku or Fire stick (or something else like that) for all of your apps. Trust me, you will thank me. The OS (and there are several out there) that these projectors are trying to use is just not ready for prime time IMHO.Okay, back to this projector. Why do I like it so much?Good battery.Little kickstand in the front works well.Remote is decent.Brightness is actually better than most in this category.Sound is okay.About the only things I really don’t like is the OS (operating system) that they are using. Not as intuitive as I like. It does have a lot of bells and whistles, but I would like the GUI to have been designed by an end user not an engineer. (If you have no idea what that means, it is okay, just geek speak.)The auto keystone isn’t too bad. It isn’t spot on and you will have to adjust a little yourself.Besides those things, it is really a decent projector. The price is high, granted. But if you need a battery projector, you will pay more.By the way, I have reviewed several other Nebula projectors and I have found them all do be good quality. The construction is always great. The only issue I have ever had is with their OS, and that is a personal preference. Again, use a streaming stick and avoid some of their OS issues.I hope this review was helpful!

    Works great

This projector is awesome but it does have 1 or 2 minor annoyances.Pros:Pretty intuitive to use. Didn’t need to read the manual to get started with it.-video quality is awesome. Looks really good even at its max size. The AI focus does a good job at keeping everything looking crisp.-Whilst the UI isn’t very good, you can get most of your streaming apps on the projector so as long as you have Wi-Fi, you don’t need anything besides the projector to watch your shows/movies-the unit itself feels really solid. I didn’t want to drop test mine but I’m sure it could hold up to a bit of abuse.Cons:-The UI isn’t great. It can be a bit clunky to scroll through apps.-Speakers don’t sound great with music. They somehow sound really good while watching movies but if you use the Bluetooth speaker mode, they don’t sound very good.

    Great Projector!

I am a Nebula fan! They make great projectors and this one does not disappoint!!! The picture is sharp! It has a battery and is lightweight so it is portable and you can easily watch a movie or two before needing to recharge. The sound is loud enough for a small group of people. If you need louder you can always use external speakers. Best of all it has auto keystone!!! Wi-Fi is a plus, but I usually use this outdoors far from a Wi-Fi signal. Great for camping. Note this is also bright enough to use indoors for presentations! It is worth the price point to have a sharp powerful projector!

    Great Sound and Picture Quality

I was really surprised by the volume output of the internal speakers. Unlike my other projector, you will definitely not need an external or Bluetooth speaker for this one. The projection is fairly bright, and you can watch something in the shade with some light sunlight. However, forget about using it in direct sunlight or on a very sunny day. I feel this would be best to use in the late afternoon and evening. The battery life is outstanding as well! Seems to be built ruggedly and should be perfectly fine for camping. I like the integrated handle, however don’t expect to be taking this thing for hikes – it’s quite heavy. It’s also worth mentioning that there are better options out there if you don’t need the portability features that this unit has. For the price, you can definitely get a much better projector for home use. The primary advantage is portability with this unit. Another item of note is that the apps can be a bit sluggish. Still, it wasn’t so sluggish that I got frustrated or would take away any stars for this review.

Most versatile projector you will find

I previously owned a Capsule 2, tried several others and now own a Capsule 3 and Mars 3. I love my Capsule for its portability, but Mars is now my go to projector. It is just big enough to make it sturdy and can withstand a bump or nudge by kids but remains portable. So far i use it around the house, in my backyard, camping, and in hotels. Recently set it up for a vacation movie night and connected a Nintendo Switch so we could play Mario Kart. Has great battery life and it’s auto keystone/focus modes make setup so easy and able to be used in unusual spaces. If you enjoy outdoor movies, it’s IPX rated and includes its own adjustable kickstand to get the perfect angle. My only complaint is the lack of native Netflix support, but you can still watch Netflix…just a slightly clunky experience.

Has Different brightness modes to give upto 5 hours long uninterrupted watching without power source. Picture quality looks great and bright even in eco mode when its dusk. Has utilities like ambient light and USB-A and USB-C charging. IP3 Water and resistant, 0.5 mm drop resistant, makes this rugged projector worry free take along wherever you go.Everything is great about this projector except for its performance at startup. But I would take that given the other features and the price.
