    Perfect for the task

I’ve purchased other long selfie sticks and this one is by far the absolute best for those Drone like shots. It is also good for shorter needs although the larger handle size can be a little visable using it in shorter length. My only complaint was the price.. but its really worth it.

Extremely flimsy and useless due to twisting

This product looks good and has good quality material when collapsed, but once you open it, it becomes very flimsy. But the biggest issue is that it doesnt have locking mechanism and keeps retracting by itself and rotates. You can not keep the camera in one direction. It will constantly rotates like propeller. The only reason I am not returning this product and will throw it to garbage instead is because Amazon raises eyebrow when you try returning it as if it my fault. It was my mistake that i bought on amazon and not somewhere else instead.

Good for more than just the insta

If you are in the market for this device mostly you already own an insta product. But how about if you don’t? I’ve used this for both the insta and also attached my phone to the pole to get some good elevated shots especially if you are in the back of a crowd. And yes just like the smaller version it also does not show up in insta 360 shots.Pros:LightweightReally longCons:Really expensive

    Looks weird but works!

Using this with my 360 camera, which stitches it out even at full extension. Can get some crazy shots with it, but get a lot of strange looks from people as well! It bends a bit under it’s own weight, but doesn’t cause a problem. Can be used at any length, short or long.

If your using it for a Motorcycle mount

So The top smallest pole doesn’t lock so it causes spinning to occur since it’s not able to be locked like the other sizes. It creates movement so if you hit a bump it moved your camera placement. I love the length capabilities just not that the smallest and top extender won’t lock. I did use some tape to hold it In place to fix the issue just gotta redo it every now and then just more of an extra thing ya gotta do before you can use it

A Little wobble but great length

I just bought an Insta360 and lots of people say to get this stick. It has a great length and is pretty light weight. It does have some flex so there are some applications that it won’t be good for. I wanted to get some extended shot when driving my Can Am X3. This had too much flex/wobble when only the 3 largest sections were extended. If I tried extending further the flex was over 15 inched and makes it unusable for video. It will probably be good for walking.

    Too heavy

I ordered this because of all the hype I saw on social media. This confirms that we shouldn’t believe everything we see on social media.I wanted to like this extension stick. I bought the regular-size stick. The regular one was just perfect. I wish I could say the same thing about this extension one. This is way too heavy to use. I only managed to open it all the way with such struggles. It doesn’t extend easily, at least not the one I received. When extended all the way, OMG, it is way too heavy to hold onto. This is only good for someone, mainly a strong man, and you definitely have to be in an area where there are not many buildings or electrical poles around. This is great along the beach, but how often do I go to the beach? Haha. Once I managed to extend it all the way, there was no way I’d be able to use it outside my house (I have really high ceilings). I put it aside and that was the last time I held it until I decided that it was a waste of money, so I ended up returning it.When it is not extended all the way, it can be used as a regular stick, but it is still quite bulky, and again, would feel bulky in my bag. I definitely recommend the regular stick which extends quite high. High enough for what I need. For almost $100, this is way overpriced and overrated. If you do a lot of scenery shots, you’re a man with big strong hands, and don’t mind throwing $100 away, then this may work for you.

For when you can not fly a drone

The perspective from the 3m stick is unlike anything else I have seen before. Really makes it look like it is taken from a drone, but can be used in many places where a drone can’t fly.As for the quality, the stick is made from real carbon fiber (would be too heavy made from metal). The tubes fit together really well and even pulled out to full length the stick feels solid, with no sagging or bending. Fully retracted it is more compact than I expected and can easily go with me on my travels. Is it strictly necessary to have fun with an Insta 360? No, but it is a lot of fun in its own way and the footage looks great. I would buy it again.

Great height but broke after minimal use. See photos and explanation.

This extended selfie stick is just under 10 ft and provides for drone like shots. However the stick broke after very limited use. The top portion just came apart while I was extending the stick. I spoke with Insta360 and they said the warrant is only for 3 months on this item. In their email they stated:”This problem with your selfie stick can be attributed to the natural wear and tear of the selfie stick product + quality problem.”They offered a replacement at a discounted price of $85.00 (which includes shipping). Original price was $99.00. Probably going to shop around for an alternative product.

Get Those Impossible Drone Shots Without The Drone

The media could not be loaded.

If you have a 360 video camera, getting this pole is a no-brainer. You will be able to not only get drone shots in areas that don’t allow drones, you will also be able to use it for impossible “fly-through” shots where it looks like you are going in and out of vehicles or enclosed areas, then flying free. You simply glide this pole through the enclosure or vehicle, then reframe the 360 video to a 1080p version and it looks like you just flew a drone masterfully through a very tight space. And you don’t get the drone noise while filming. Here is an example of the pole being used when filming silently (i.e. no drone noise) at fancy outdoor event.Tip when filming: You will want walk with less bounce and turn stabilization on.Note: Insta360 says the RS 1 inch doesn’t work on this pole. They are definitely wrong about that. I think the reason they say it is because there is a very slight bend in the pole with the weight of the RS 1 inch, which allows the pole to sort of be seen when holding it horizontally. That faint visible section of the pole is near the user’s hands and really isn’t that noticeable, and if you are reframing the shots, you don’t need yourself in the shot to begin with. The types of shots you can get with this super long pole are well worth the investment if you are using the RS 1 inch.

Sturdy and solid extension. Built well

Good quality extension. Used it for a shoot on a boat while creating a sales video. The day was windy to start and adding 20-25 knot winds made the shoot challenging. The extension held up very well. Fit nicle into a fishing rod holder and held steady throughout. Impressed with the sturdiness, especially when fully extended. Standard 1/4-20 threads will accept many, many accessories besides just a camera. Had not worries fully extending it fully and hanging it off the side of the boat or straight in the air.

2.5 times heavier than advertised & has much play

Amazon has many options for a selfie-stick such as this. I figured, I’d get what I pay for with a higher than most price tag. I expected it to weight 136 grams (as advertised) and have very little play. This stick weighs in at 362.5 grams (on my scale) and too has much wobble between the sections when any section is more than halfway out.

Failed within the 3rd use and damaged my insta360 X2 camera

This selfie stick is poorly made, even when compared to a $15 selfie stick that survived like 5 yrs. I got this after a month’s wait time, with a lot of expectations. The videos were brilliant on the 1st two occasions that I used it. On the 3rd occasion I was too unlucky, the top most portion just came off and fell down when it was fully extended with my insta360 X2 camera, hitting concrete. My camera has a crack at the bottom, which makes it no longer water proof. I did not go for any protection plan as I take care of my things really well, I am with the same wife for years and still have my 1959 Rolleiflex functioning like new. This product is really bad and I am not getting any support at its 45 days post my purchase date. I feel like I was robbed***UPDATE***I received a replacement within a week, its slightly better than the previous one. Its easy to open and friction is lot less than the previous. Raising the rating to 5 again, as I got a good service from insta360.

Excellent Product. Very Fast Shipping Times.

Very VERY good product. Allows for amazing drone style shots. Very good quality. I paid the extra $10 and I got my package delivered same day. If ordered off manufacturers website it will ship from China so delivery times will be longer. But don’t be a fool and order third party accessories, the insta360 accessories are 100% top build quality. I have most insta360 accessories and can confidently say that they are way better than previously purchased third party action camera accessories.

I didn’t expect this to happen.

Alright, the length of this stick is great. It will work great for those taking videos while walking, for those wanting to take videos while riding a bicycle I will recommend keeping the stick always or you will be getting a lot of movement on your videos. For those wanting to take videos on a motorcycle, be very careful and make sure that you get the right mount, or you might end up losing your camera. Now, why I’m giving it one start, well I didn’t expect the part where the camera attached to it to come off so easily, especially after 3-4 times of using the stick. Luckily it happened inside the house and now while I am out and about on the trails or the road.I’m planning on gluing it back with special glue so it will never come off again.

Super cool way to film! Drone like footage

If you have an Insta360 and want to get drone like footage of your activities, this is an awesome option. Very happy with my skiing footage. I was concerned that it would be too bouncy and make the footage hard to watch, but the smoothing of the Insta360 made the footage from 10′ (3m) up very usable and a very interesting perspective. Very impressed.Be aware that this is a bulky stick. Yes, you can use it in a more normal length by not fully extending it, but the handle is thick. I got a strap that screws into the bottom threads to help me manage it and I’ve seen others using an extended handle making this a 2 handed stick instead of a 1 handed stick. That’s probably a good idea since when this stick is fully extended it is a long lever and even a small camera like the 360 at the end had quite a bit of momentum when its moving. This stick does not have friction locks between the segments, it seems to have enough friction to hold itself and the 360 up, but I have some concers that it may wear over time and collapse. There is no adjustment for the friction or a way to lock any segment extendedor collapsed. Also, i have not exposed it to sand or other fine particles that could accelerate the wear, so your use may have different results long term. This is all carbon fiber, so that is part of the reason for the higher price. Also, be careful with it since CF tends to snap when over flexed. It won’t bend like aluminum so if you are rough with it, you may lose your camera.

Capture the Perfect Shot with the Insta360 Extended Selfie Stick

Having the right tools can totally transform your content creation game. If you’ve got an Insta360 X3, ONE X2, ONE R, ONE X, or ONE Action Camera, the Insta360 3m Extended Selfie Stick is a game-changer. This selfie stick is quickly becoming one of my favorite accessories, and here’s why:This selfie stick is crazy long. With a mind-blowing 9.8 feet of extension, you can snap shots that were once off-limits. Whether you’re exploring cool places, capturing awesome moments, or just trying to fit everyone in a group pic, this selfie stick guarantees you’ll get the perfect angle. The selfie stick is surprisingly sturdy, despite how long it is. It feels sturdy and well put together when you hold it. This sturdiness is crucial, especially when you’re taking shots in wild or unpredictable situations. Your camera and the stick won’t break, so no worries. It’s great that it’s so lightweight. The stick is solidly built but still easy to carry and handle. You can easily make it longer without feeling overwhelmed. This makes it a versatile accessory that’s great for all kinds of shooting scenarios. The handle grip is really well-designed, giving you a solid hold. Your camera is secure and won’t slip or fall. You gotta have this control to get the best shots.Just so you know, the stick bends a little when fully extended. It’s important to be aware of the limitations due to its length. I wouldn’t recommend using it as a baseball bat, but it’s perfect for capturing incredible footage. All in all, the Insta360 3m Extended Selfie Stick is an awesome addition to your camera gear. This thing is amazing – long, strong, light, easy to hold, and has a tripod mount – a content creator’s dream. It gives you so many more creative options, letting you capture shots you never thought possible. And you can feel confident knowing that Insta360 support has got your back. So go ahead and invest in this accessory. It’s like having an extra eye for your creative vision, always there to help you capture the perfect shot.

    Very light material

This is by far the lightest and longest extended stick I have seen. I presume its make of carbon fiber, its super light for the length it extends. Don’t expect to it to super sturdy especially after extending it completely out for 9 feet with camera tagged to the end, you definitely need 2 hands to hold it for longer…Overall, it is little pricier, but you get what you pay.

Creative, drone-like shots for beginners, only makes sense with a 360° cameras

This was by far the most expensive “selfie-stick” that I have ever bought. You might ask yourself: Why would anyone spend an ungodly amount of money for such a novelty item? Let me explain, since I was in the same situation.Anyone who browses social media arrives at a point where they see fantastic drone-like footage where the camera spins around, the camera angle appears to change rapidly, or some other strange effects that are difficult, almost impossible to do with a normal camera attached to a drone. Having a 360° camera allows you to reframe the shots/videos in post-production, which in turn can help you achieve similar results. However, your arm is only so long – for anything where you need more distance to the subject (especially in height), you need a stick. This product is the most ridiculous of them – with a length of almost 10ft/3m it is not merely a stick, its a pole.Let me first say that this pole serves almost no purpose without a 360° camera – anything larger than an action camera would bend the stick too much when extended. Anything less than a 360° camera would not allow proper reframing and needs constant attention on how to hold the pole properly. The setup is as easy as screwing the camera tight, and extending the stick. Unfortunately, it does not include a remote button to start recording – so either do this via app, or start recording before you extend the stick. In terms of video footage, the possibilities are pretty endless. Drone-like shots is as easy as extending the stick and whirl it around. (Generally, be mindful of your surroundings – 10ft/3m is surprisingly long) You can do a lot of effects that are otherwise reserved for drones – such as “rocket”, where you start at the bottom and slowly raise the camera to show the object, as well as the surrounding from a top view. You can hold the long pole over edges (or even into canyons/crevasses), make funky movies by threading the pole through someones legs, under the car, between tires, and so on. Youtube has lots of content creators showing some of their tricks.I would like to add a few more usages that you would otherwise never achieve: Drone-like shots and following in wooden areas, brushes, tunnels, or otherwise [drone-] restricted areas. Places with stronger winds or heavy rain, or other conditions where drones cannot fly. Or any hover shots over water. Obviously the reach is limiting at “only” 10ft/3m, but given the short focal length of the camera, it will often look like much more. Also – compared with drones, you have to be less careful when operating this pole with the camera attached. So while you can use this pole to record a very busy city life – expect that you will stand out and people will start staring at this strange looking setup. But don’t let that stop your fun!Positives:+ You can get incredible (otherwise impossible) shots using this pole+ You are not limited to specific environments, and can use it in wind, rain, or other conditions+ Very sturdy build quality, but easily adjustableNegatives:- It can only reach the biggest potential with 360° cameras, such as the products from Insta360- Once pulled to the max length, even with a small and lightweight camera, the setup is getting very heavy- This also leads to some wobbling at the tip that causes some camera shake- No way to activate recording on the pole itselfNeutral:+/- The price is really high for a long retractable stick for a lot of potential users+/- Since it is such a novelty item, expect everyone staring at it+/- You have to be extra careful when swinging this one around to not hit anything – given its large reachOverall an extremely suitable product for 360° cameras. I would consider it a must buy for Insta360 cameras, such as the

    X3

. The combination allows you to do drone-like shots, cinematic camera swings, or dramatic footage from weird angles that you have never explored before. The price is high, but the quality is matching. Both the missing recording button, as well as some of the negative ergonomic aspects bring this otherwise fantastic product down by one star.

A little flimsy when fully extended, but how rigid can you expect a 9.8ft telescoping stick to be?

I have driven with this invisible selfie stick fully extended to 9.8 feet sticking straight up out of my car door window and gotten some pretty cool shots. The image stabilization of the Insta360 handles the shakiness well. The fastest I’ve gone doing this was probably 60-70mph. Keep in mind that I allowed the selfie stick to rest on the floor, I held my foot and leg up against it, and I held it with my hand in a natural position like you would do if you were just driving with your arm on the door. I practiced my technique while parked and then gradually increased my speed. I didn’t just jump on the interstate. If you need to shoot some simulated drone shots this is definitely the way to do it.This is a recommended accessory for sure.

    A Must-Have Accessory for 360 Camera Shots

My 360 cameras are all awesome, and this extended stick/pole makes it so I don’t need a drone for many shots anymore. It’s faster to set up, lighter, and easier to use. Plus, since I don’t have my commercial permit yet, it means I don’t have to limit my footage to friends and family, pay an operator, or take the time to study and take the test. The best part is that it still sits in the blind spot, making it invisible in all the shots I’ve tried. This selfie stick is a game-changer for capturing stunning 360-degree shots effortlessly.

    Won’t work well on motorcycle

I worked with support, and not only will this product not stay up while attached using Insta360’s motorcycle mount, it constantly pulls the stick out to max if you’re at speeds anywhere above ~40mph. The answer was to use “electrical tape” to solve the design issues around the sliding stick being unable to be used for its intended purpose and the answer for it not being sturdy enough is to tie it to something that is more sturdy. I have a bike, there aren’t many tie down spots and the fact that they are esentially wanting me to tie and tape things because their design quality wasn’t enough for what it’s advertised to handle shows the type of company Insta360 is. While I think the camera quality is pretty nice, the supporting products for a very expensive system leave your system vulnerable to damage and this product killed my Insta360 x3 and couldn’t handle the x4 either. Poor design quality.

I trusted Amazons listing and it was much bigger that I thought.

I read Amazons listing and it stated 7.4 inches high which would easily fit where I wanted it. I bought it and found it to be 14.25 inches collapsed. This thing is huge. You will not want to carry it around by hand and it won’t fit in any case. It looks sturdy but then someone complained that his broke easily. This can’t be invisible either as it is about twice the thickness of even the wider 360 X4.BTW, I contacted Amazon about the incorrect listing through their link and so far it remains the same. IMHO Amazon is not the same animal since Bezos quit.

Great but broke in less than a year

One of the sections toward the top came apart. I did use it a fair amount and it was great but $100 feels like a lot to have to spend every year for one of these. Another thing is that sometimes the segments would collapse due to not enough friction, so I wouldn’t use this for a timelapse since it could slowly fall on it’s own.

I haven’t used it out in “the field” that much. Mostly just testing this + the camera. It does work & the length from the weight of what it is is very impressive. I like that the bottom also has a threaded fitting in it so it can be attached to a tripod, stand etc. When it’s fully extended the weight of the camera does flex the pole a bit. I like it, but the price is a bit steep. I hope the friction “locking” doesn’t wear out very quickly.

    Amazing product

Impressed with the quality of the product. It is easy to lengthen and shorten and uses friction rather than joint clamps. This makes changing the length a snap. It is also very light for a 3 meter stick. As noted by many reviewers, there is a very slight bow when holding the stick at an angle, but this is very minor. I had considered purchasing a cheaper alternative but am happy I spent a few extra dollars on this. Collapsed, it is so short that it fits in my smallest camera backpack. Highly recommended.

If you could only have one selfie stick….this may be it.

I am a 360 camera enthusiast and I needed an extended selfie stick for drone-like shots. I had a less expensive one that I had previously purchased, but never used it because it wasn’t easy to set the height quickly. The Insta360 stick is a little thick but can work from14 inches to 10 feet and is pretty sturdy. It is my new goto stick for events. If you need to get above the crowd…not a problem. If you just need the standard selfie stick shot, it can handle that. You want to do a virtual tour, set the height to eye level and you are good.

    Does not lock…

You would think for being 100$ and an ” action camera ” this thing would lock somehow, so when even extended a little it will not slowly retract back to it’s compated size. This thing should lock at every extension someway somehow. But it doesn’t.

    Great quality

Got this for my boyfriend for his motorcycle and it works great. It has great stability and the picture is still super clear with the insta 360 being so far out it doesn’t get affected at all.

    No drone? No problem!

This is a must have accessory for anyone who owns the Insta360 x3 camera. If you are looking for drone-like shots, you definitely need one of these. Believe me, this is loooooooong! You will be able to film people/yourself as if you had a drone flying over. It collapses to a reasonable length and it is not heavy. You can definitely travel with it in a backpack.

    Can’t travel with it

Awesome addition but every TSA agent thought it was a weapon. Unless you check it, be prepared for TSA to take it from you.

    Great perspective

I have tried a couple of non-insta360 brand sticks and they did not perform nearly as well as this one. The mechanism is smooth and the stick is very light considering how far it will extend. It provides additional perspectives that I can’t get with a 2 meter stick. The stick will show outside of the stitch line a bit when fully extended due to slight bending.

    Cheap for what it is

I used this stick probably 20 times before it snapped in half. For the price it is it should really be made better.

    Flimsy when extended fully

It’s lightweight and sturdy monopod for Insta360 as long as you don’t extend fully. The more you extend, the more unstable and flimsy it feels. Design is very smart keeping it so lightweight but little pricy. Amazing for the reach it gives us as a filmmaker, almost avoids the need of a drone. Loving it.

    Go the distance!

By far the best purchase for a 360 camera. I keep seeing others using this with the Insta360 1″ OneRS model. It is quite heavy and causes some bending in the pole which concerns me. Even the Insta360 X3 bends the pole to some degree. However it remains sturdy. The telescoping poles are tight so they don’t slip. I like the screw hole in the base so I can extend it even further on a tripod. While it is an Insta360 branded item. It does have the manufacturer name Sirui on the stick as well. Regardless, it is a huge improvement over the previous long extension pole offered by Insta360.

Fantastic way to fake drone-like shots.

I have had a price watch on this extended selfie stick for over a year, and during a price drop, I decided to buy one. I am now wishing I would have bought one with my X2 when I first got that camera. This thing is so cool. While I still fear it may break and drop my camera, so far, so good.I have used it a dozen times around local businesses — practice is needed — to create drone-like shots and other “impossible” video clips. Between the features of the X2/X3 (ike the “airplane mode”) and this selfie-stick, I’ve been making videos that folks think only a drone could do.I’ll attach one of my test clips taken at a local pub.

    extra long

This 10ft stick gets you the shots you bought your Insta360 to create. I used it with my X3 on a recent trip.No complaints. It does bend slightly when held at an angle with the cam attached, but I think that’s inevitableI cringed at a c-note for a selfie stick, but it’s actually very sturdy and well-made. Opens/closes easily and stays in place. Not as heavy you might expect. The new design is short enough to be used as a normal selfie-stick when collapsed, so you don’t have to carry two sticks. That said, it’s pretty thick.I also used it in shallow water (may not be recommended, check what the manufacturer says before doing this) and it didn’t collect any water inside. Note this stick is heavy, so you wouldn’t take this swimming. I used it only from shore to dip the camera briefly into the water.Recommended.

    Get it

If your gonna spend 400+ on the camera but not spend the 100 to get this your really selling yourself short. Just bite the bullet and buy this it’s worth it

    Almost perfect…

I bought this to get drone style shots with my INSTA360 X3. When it works, the shots are incredible, the problem however is weight, the X3 will cause it to sag if fully extended, not much, but enough that it can be noticeable depending on how it’s being held. This was even worse when I had the licensed protective frame for the camera on. It really comes down to experience, if you use it enough, you’ll figure out how to get good shots with it, but early on, the droop was a let down.
