Life Changing

My only problem so far with the vacuum cleaner is that a few hair strands got stuck inside the metal piece of the dustbin dispenser, and I don’t know how to clean it to get rid of the fine dust.

Worth every penny
Let me start off by saying vacuuming is my least favorite chore. I had a robot vacuum before this and despite it being a higher end model, it sucked. So, I researched vacuums for probably a month before I decided on the V15. I wanted something with powerful suction, easy to maneuver, and versatile attachments. This vacuum exceeds expectations. The picture shown is after cleaning ONE ROOM and I had vacuumed a couple days ago with the previous old one I had which was a rainbow canister. Suction is on point! My house feels cleaner, my allergies are better, my husband said same for his allergies. I have two kids under the age of three. They’re dirty, especially after meals! Clean up is now a breeze! I can’t believe I’m saying this but I don’t mind vacuuming now. We’ve only had the V15 for a week but being a cordless you can just grab it and go. They really made this state of the art. I recommended this to multiple family members already.

Great suctions and very versatile
I bought a similar Dyson several years ago and wasn’t impressed. Decided to give it another try and they’ve come along way! This holds up great to dog hair, toddler messes, husband nail clippings, and the charge lasts long enough for me to complete an entire floor in my 1900 sq ft home. Goes from hard floor to rugs well. I have a few thin rugs that it just sucks up so that’s annoying but overall I’m very happy with this purchase. The only other potential cons for people might be that you need to hold the trigger button down and it’s a bit heavy. I find myself switching arms throughout. I just tell myself it’s a workout!

I use it for Mexican Paver Tile and Grasscloth carpet. Works well on both. Very clean after using the Dyson. My third product from that company, I keep on using them and keep on purchasing them. A satisfied customer.

Solid vacuum with a few issues
We received our vacuum and it wouldn’t charge or turn on since it had a dead battery. Not sure if this was a bad Amazon return or more of a concern with the Dyson quality assurance, but for this price, we’d expect a flawless vacuum. We contacted Dyson to troubleshoot and they sent a new free battery under the warranty. With the new battery, we got it working. The next concern that is pretty minor but worth mentioning for this price is that the screen display is off-center and does not fit perfectly in the circle display (picture). Otherwise, the suction is great and we use it often for our hard wood floors. It doesn’t work very well on one of our carpets with uneven pile (lots of ups and downs). There are a lot of different attachments that make it a bit difficult to store.

Has Great Suction Power
I have 2 Australian Shepherds, so I really needed a vacuum that could pick up the fur. It does a great job. However, if you plan on purchasing this vacuum, you might want to go ahead and buy an additional battery.I have a 2300 square foot home – hardwood floors with 2 area rugs. The battery did not last 60 minutes.Maybe it was because of the time involved with vacuuming the rugs.I ended up purchasing an extra battery from the Dyson website which cost me around $150.00.This was an expensive purchase. As an enticement, it would be nice if Dyson would include two batteries instead of one with their sales offer.

Buy this vaccuum
I spent months dreaming about buying a new vacuum. I previously had a random cordless stick vac that did alright but it was not manufactured by the heavens & kissed by angels like this one. I fondly remember the day I released the vacuum from its shackles & gazed upon its ultimate power. I am an every other day vacuumer to a heavily shedding beast of a dog & THOUGHT my home was clean. The moment this vacuums dust tracking green light shone onto my floors I gasped. I spiraled into a vacuuming frenzy. I could not believe I subjected my family to live in such FILTH. After an afternoons long battle against dirt & debris & at least 3 canister emptyings my home had been taken back from the dark side. I need to note that the canister is large. Now that my floors know what it is to be truly vacuumed it takes about 3 sessions to need emptied. Now that was only the hard wood floor. If you have carpet in your home ………………..good luck to you we lost a lot of good men in the carpeted floor of our home. If you have a shag rug like I do in my living room just burn it. The amount of shame you will feel when your Dyson emerges victorious is not anything that a mere mortal can handle.If you have read this entire review seriously just buy the vacuum.

It’s love/hate relationship!
First the positives The attachments, especially the hardwood lighted one, do an amazing job of cleaning The suction is incredible for a cordless device The vacuum is very well made and does not “leak” even the smallest amount of debris which makes itclean to handle The Dyson Customer Service team is great and very helpful The dust bin is easy to empty and the filter is easy to access and clean.Now for the vegatives: The machine is quite heavy and not suitable for older adults or anyone with lifting issues The attachments, including the wand, are awkward to attach and require resting the unit on a level surface such as a countertop. The power trigger is in an awkward spot and requires you to grip the trigger the entire time you clean The battery does not hold a charge for an hour. A fully charged battery will give you 48 min even on LOW suction Depending on your height the vacuum can be really hard on your shoulders. You may need to switch hands frequently.Every user will find their own pros and cons. I did not return it but I wouldn’t buy another.

Best vaccume !!
I have dogs and a bird all live in the house . I have a farm that constantly gets dust . I cleaned for two days with it and my carpets are clean! Even my shampooer! Didn’t work that hard it picks up everything ! So easy to use battery lasts cleaned my furniture , no dog hair , my older stand up Dyson can’t compare to this one. I put it away . Don’t get me wrong I love my Dyson. But this is better . It costs more but wholy waaa cleans

My Dream Stick Vacuum
At first I thought I was spending too much money on a vacuum, but let me tell you something about this vacuum…It is totally, ridiculously, amazing! We live in a 5th wheel in preparation for retirement. You cannot imagine what you bring in from outside until you live in a small space. Add to that a couple of cute, adorable pugs that shed like a Colorado blizzard and you can understand why I need a super sucker vacuum. This vacuum came with many accessories, a charger and a wall hanger that also attaches to the charger. It has a floor head that has this green light on it that shows you every bit of dirt, pet hair, ect that is on your floor ahead of the vacuum as you use it. It also came with a power head that has an equal amount of suction. The only downside that I could see is the power head doesn’t have a headlight. Would I buy this vacuum again, you betcha! If you have any more questions, just ask. I am definitely a Dyson gal!

Makes Vacuuming pseudo-enjoyable
I hate vacuuming… but this makes it almost fun. I have used a Shark upright around the house for years and there is just no comparison here. I have mostly LVT flooring, a short haird dog and long haired cat and use the light-up attachment for most of the house. The illumination made it a dream, almost like a game to suck up all the dust I could see visibly. It was so easy to switch between attachments to get rugs, couches, stairs, blinds, baseboards, electronics, you name it. The extension rod and profile of the floor attachments made it so easy to get to all the corners I can normally never get a vacuum to go. Under couches, beds, dressers. It was so lightweight and easy to maneuver without wrangling a heavy clunky body and cord that I have to keep replugging all over the house. We are about to be new parents and I splurged on this in prep for baby because I want to keep the dust and mites under control but have little energy or enthusiasm to vacuum more than once a week. This might be my favorite purchase I’ve ever made; I seriously think my quality of life just went up a notch. 1900 square foot split level house, I vacuumed everything and then some with a one charge. If I wanted to go back in for the deep cleaning (blinds, baseboards, random nooks and crannies) I’d need to recharge first I think. I did have to empty the cannister 3x (lots of fur and long hair) but it was so easy it didn’t bother me at all. 10/10 on this one.

Love
This is my first stick vacuum and I absolutely love it. It’s so quick and convenient to grab and clean a mess or clean the whole house. I find myself able to keep up more on a clean floor with lot of tile. However, it is on the heavier side. The first them I used it I got a blister on my thumb from how I was holding it. But my 10 & 13 can use it perfectly!! So plus for me.

Love the vacuum, hate the trigger!! (Still hate the trigger 2 months later)
Works well, but after 2 days of holding the trigger to clean the condo, my finger hurts! Maybe I’ll tape it while it’s running g to hold the trigger down. Otherwise, I love it. Update: I use tape when doing the full condo. It really hurts to hold the trigger. I hope they did better with newer versions, but for $700+, I’m not trading this in yet. It cleans well and it powerful!

I am pleased so far with the vaccum, it peforms much better than a plug in Hoover we had for a while and it is quieter.It removed quite amonut of dust in minutes.I am 50/50 on whether having to handle the button or not is a good thing – you have to hold the vacumn anyway while steering it.I will continue to use my ufey for under the bed etc… but this is a great item

This is a great vacuum if you keep up on it constantly
I love to hate this vacuum, I have three big dogs and my house isn’t always the cleanest but I got this to help with the pet hair and make it easier but this gets clogged so much it’s got to be cleaned every two seconds it feels like it makes it so much longer cuz we have to empty it so much. Besides the getting clogged so much I love that I can vacuum my whole house that I love!! Overall it’s a great vacuum as long as I get 90% of the hair off the floor before I vacuum

The amount of dust collected when we first started using it. Now it picks up great if you have pets it’s a must. I pull it off the wall mount no cord to deal with and we are off cleaning. Having hard wood floors the attachment with the green led light shows all the dust on the floors. Also show after you go over start floors how the dust is now gone too.Wel with the higher price.

How did I live without you?!
I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I swear they get naked each night and re-grow all of their fur just before I crawl out of bed. I can’t begin to explain the fur that rolls through my house like tumble weeds. I was on a high dose of Prozac when I accumulated these animals. Now that I’m not, I can’t understand what possessed me to think this many animals was a good idea (it was the Prozac) but I love them a LOT so here I am. Life was looking bleak until I decided to spend an idiotic amount of money on this vacuum hoping and praying my life would somehow change if I had the right tool to help me. Well, guess what?! My life has changed!! I vacuum every single day and I don’t mind doing it! This vacuum with its glowing green light shows me all the fur and dirt. I vacuum it up and it’s gone! I can see my floors getting clean, and it’s such a rewarding feeling – accomplishment and JOY! The vacuum zips along, light, no cord to trip over, and it’s not a big deal. It doesn’t even feel like a chore. No more fur bunnies! No more grit! It sucks up the cat litter and doesn’t spray it all over the house! It vacuums up leaves from the ficus tree! I can vacuum the whole house on a charge – about 1500 square feet – on eco mode. I show it off to everyone who enters my home. If it came in different colors I might get a second one and start a collection. If I’m waiting for my toast to pop, I grab the vacuum and zip around the kitchen. I can vacuum and talk on the phone because vacuuming is easy and quiet! Yeah, I love this life changing wonder of a machine! Other people might not be as enthralled with it as I am. I can only say – I love it. If vacuuming is a big part of your life, gift yourself with the right tool if you can. You’re worth it!

Super versatile and has been very useful.
Suction is great, it can get in tight spaces, and the attachments have been useful. I really like the laser light for hardwood floors, it makes it where you can see anything on the floor. Prior to owning this one, I had bought an off-brand vac. The batteries tended to fail and then I couldn’t get replacements. I honestly didn’t think a Dyson would be that much better. I was oh so wrong, this vac is leaps and bounds better. I won’t make this mistake again. It’s definitely worth spending the extra money, in my opinion. I’m very happy with this vac.

Great upgrade
I have a Dyson v8 and this new one is hands down better. The most important thing being battery power and charging. It stays charged for a month or more. I use it around 2-3 times a week. Picks up dog hair well. Overall good product. I know Dyson is princely but I tried an off brand and it was sooooo bad. You get what you pay for.

Almost too good
Great auction and the ability to easily remove the battery and charge it separately is a great feature. The light that I originally thought was a gimmick is amazing. You see dust and items you did not know were there. The only problem is that you cannot stop vacuuming because of what you see. You could vacuum 24/7. Great vacuum.

Wow! Where have you been all my life?
A friend of mine received the V11 for Christmas and let me try it out, and I had to have one of my own. After doing some comparisons and reading the reviews, I ended up buying the V15 Detect… although I almost decided to get the Gen5Outsize, or the Gen5Detect. What made me decide on this one was the trigger power button. The newer models have a power button. One of the things I recognized when trying out the V11 was how the trigger power button would save on battery power as it turns on and off the machine easily without needing to use both hands. I’ve seen reviews where people would prefer an “on all the time” button as is now the case with the Gen5’s, so I guess it’s a matter of preference. But being able to control everything with one hand was my preference… as well as a mind toward conserving battery power while cleaning by not having to turn it on and off when I moved from area to area in my home. The vacuum just stops running when you release the trigger.When I received the V15 Detect this morning, I felt like it was Christmas all over again! Luckily, it was half way charged right out of the box, and easy to assemble. You hardly need directions to figure it out. Things just snap together in a pretty common sense fashion. I have hardwood floors with medium pile large room rugs in every room. The stairs going down to my basement are high pile (think 1970’s shag carpet!) and I was most concerned about whether the vacuum would be able to handle those. But it did without skipping a beat! I was able to vacuum my dining room, kitchen, stairs leading to our downstairs den, and the den and hallway itself before the vacuum was telling me it was almost out of power.If you have the vacuum set to “auto” then the time left on the battery will fluctuate based on the floor type and amount of power it is having to use to suck up the dirt. So, it could get a little confusing going from “5 minutes” left to “15 minutes” left based on floor type. But once you figure out what’s going on, that fluctuation is pretty easy to get used to and plan your cleaning accordingly.The suction of the V15 is comparable to any other vacuum (corded) that I’ve owned. And, the edge cleaning is a necessary plus. I am upgrading from a corded Shark that I was not too pleased with how well it would suck up dirt against the wall and and edges of furniture. The Dyson V15 did a phenomenal job at this.The two downsides that I found through my first use of the V15 was the knuckle area of my thumb did begin to feel a little sore from pushing the vacuum as on medium pile large rugs it would increase its suction power and become slightly more difficult to push. But, the roller never stopped spinning. I had read and watched multiple reviews that complained that the suction power of the Gen5’s were so strong that the rollers would stop spinning on medium pile carpets. I did not experience one instance of this, even on the shag carpeted stairs with the V15.The second downside was that the V15 roller did stop when I attempted to vacuum on my bathroom throw rugs. This didn’t bother me much as they can be shaken out. But, corded vacuums I’ve had would at least allow me to awkwardly vacuum these types rugs… although not easily.I had also chosen the V15 over the Gen5Outsize because of the size of the motorhead. I wanted a smaller one that could fit into smaller spaces rather than a larger one that comes on the Gen5Outsize. The smaller sized head and the design of the stick vacuum, the way the motorhead turns so easily, makes the V15 very easy to maneuver.It would be nice if the V15 would allow you to have a button that would turn off the roller and just have suction on the motorhead. While the V15 comes with a bare floor cleaning attachment; it is kind of a hassle to have to stop vacuuming to go get it and detach the carpet motorhead and then attach the bare floor one. Although, the light that allows you to see dust more easily is a plus that allows for a deeper clean of your bare floors.I really like the ease of emptying the bin. All you have to do is detach the stick and then pull the red lever and it opens the dust bin and scrapes down the vacuumed refuse into the trash. Pure genius! We also have several cats. And after I was finished vacuuming I looked at the roller on the motorhead and it was clean of any hair. This certainly has not been the case with my previous Shark, or other vacuums where I would have to get out a pair of scissors and detangle rolled up hair from the roller was such a pain. The V15 just sucked up the hair and it didn’t get tangled up in the roller. That, in itself, makes me love this machine!As I had read complaints about the wall attachment for charging, and having to put holes in your wall for it, I decided to purchase a vacuum stand — which is pretty sturdy and was only around $40.00. All my attachments fit on it and it allows my V15 to stand upright while charging. I have also purchased another battery to extend my cleaning time and will get a charger for it as it plugs into the battery itself rather than the vacuum to charge.I know this is a long review, but I just couldn’t be more thrilled by something I’ve spent money on… if you vacuum, you need this machine. You NEED it. Not having to hunt for a plug-in from room to room, trip over a power cord, stop cleaning to untangle a power cord from a chair leg or other object, mess with running over the power cord, deal with your power cord not being long enough to seamlessly go from room to room, go through the whole process of unwrapping and rewrapping a power cord, is a blessing. Who wants to have to go through all of that when cleaning house can be time consuming and tiresome enough as it is? A cordless vacuum is one of the best inventions of the modern era in my opinion! And the Dyson V15 is comparable to any vacuum I’ve owned… including previous Dyson’s and Shark’s. Get this vacuum. You won’t regret it. It will revolutionize the way you clean. I dreaded vacuuming before I learned about these cordless vacuum’s. Now, I almost look forward to it because it’s so easy.One final plus… Over Christmas I tripped our breaker twice using my Shark vacuum. While I had an electrician correct the fundamental issue, (my office was on the same 15 amp breaker that was blowing when I would plug in the vacuum), when he was rewiring my breaker box to prevent future instances of tripping it, he showed me that my vacuum, when in use, drew up to 9.5 amps. The computer and other electrical equipment in my office was already pulling about 5.5 amps. So, I won’t have to be concerned about tripping a breaker with a cordless vacuum.I have owned two corded Dyson’s in the past. Both were pretty durable. I am hoping the V15 Detect proves itself to be just as durable. Fingers are crossed. I will add that the V15 Detect was rated the best vacuum of 2023 and winter 2024, along with the V11. Making the decision to spend as much as a Dyson costs can be difficult. But, you do have to pay for quality… and Dyson IS quality. There just isn’t another vacuum out there — no matter what you may read and other companies may say — that equals the quality of a Dyson. That is not to say there are not other quality vacuums out there. I didn’t dislike my Shark… but even though it was corded, it doesn’t come close to the V15 in edge cleaning or suction. I would recommend the V15 Detect wholeheartedly. It will save you a couple hundred bucks over their newer model, and is as good, and even better, than any corded vacuum I’ve ever used.

Worth the splurge
I have approximately 29276289 other vacuums in my house and I debated spending the money on this for so long. It is 100% worth the money.I have 2 dogs and a cat, and this gets hair out of carpet better than any vacuum I’ve used.I love the green light for seeing hair on hard floors that otherwise isn’t visible to the naked eye.

Charging issues and bad customer service
Bought this vacuum in mid January. I loved it. It did great. Cleaned wonderfully. About 3 weeks ago I noticed it had stopped charging so I looked up the troubleshooting guide. I checked everything it said to. I had to go onto their automated chat feature and it determined that I needed a new battery. Well, the new battery comes in and after 12 + hours on the charger it only has a 5 minute run time. Now I’m struggling to get any support at all. I’ve jumped through all of the hoops required of me the last time and I’m getting no response. My best guess is they flagged me thinking I’m trying to scam them since I’m calling with the same issues a week apart. I cannot get a response from a real person, only some chat bot that keeps telling me I will be contacted soon. This has been going on for almost a week now. As I write this review I am on hold with an estimated wait time of 40 minutes to talk to a customer service rep (I hope). I spent north of $600 on this thing and I’m pretty put out with Dyson over this. This was my first Dyson product and it will more than likely be my last. I just want a working vacuum or my money back and if there were a way to get the hour or two of my life I’ve wasted on chat bots and on hold would be great too.

Not very impressed but makes women happy
Wanted to earn some brownie points with The Wife. She wanted this vacuum so I decided to surprise her with it. It is cool has a lot of features, but I wouldn’t trust it to suck up a fart. She would get so excited with this laserbeam that it shoots out she would try to vacuum the dark. hardwood floors it’s nice but it’s so small and it takes forever to try to vacuum something, but I got Free entertainment by watching her do this in the dark but I wanted to try it myself when she wasn’t home carpet it does not work on rugs. It does not work on all the attachments work and fit but sucking hardwood surfaces or tile it sucks but it’s only has less then a 1 foot sucking Area it takes a long time to try to clean a whole kitchen and living room. If those tires can put miles on them we definitely put the miles on them pushing it around in our house doing the living room, the hallway, the bathrooms, the kitchen and bedrooms all hardwood floor. but main thing is if you wanna make your wife happy she will love it. It’s definitely not for guys Hand grip doesn’t fit if you’re a full size person with normal size hands if you’re a female With smaller hands the handle would fit your hand.

Love it!
I have a lightweight but corded Miele so I have been spoiled. This battery run Dyson is awesome and perfect for apartment use. Powerful! The light is an awesome feature on the optic head….dust I never saw otherwise. (Wish all the heads had this light feature) I purchased a returned Dyson from Amazon Warehouse and it was in spotless clean condition and packed like new. Only missing item was the manual which I was able to find on line. I will notify Dyson about my warrantee on this product as there was no information sent to me about this and I should get a warrantee. The Dyson main body is heavier than expected but it is packed with power and my 70 year old hands can remove all the necessary attachments and functions with ease. (unlike other cordless vacuums I tried) My only concern is the trigger on the main body is much too easy to start and I tend to pull on it unintentionally when disconnecting parts. This is a feature that Dyson should improve on. Happy with the fact the battery can be charged separate from the main body. Very happy with this purchase and now look forward to vacuuming (except I need to remember not to pull on the trigger when changing parts).

Lives up to its name!
I have been a doubter of this brand for decades.That said, I have now been through 3 or 4 different compact stick vacuums at much much much cheaper value, due to insanely bad suction, bad build quality or lack of battery life. The reason i finally caved, Dyson would consistently come back up in my searches as the comparison standard against others. Though some say it’s suction wasn’t that great, or its battery life wasn’t great… this is from a person who always denied themselves from buying or believing the hype of Dyson.After about a year. I can honestly and enthusiastically say this has lived up to the hype. Battery life is strong, seemingly the same as the day I bought it, and its suction has been far and away the strongest I have EVER experienced. I have 2x cats with my wife in a lot of hardfloor space, so you can imagine how often the cat litter builds up around the place, and i hate that stuff. All the previous stick vacuums I tried would just scatter the cat litter around the room, it was obnoxious. Now? This thing picks up everything without hesitation, no re-do over the same spot, no scattering, nothing. The suction pulls everything in strong and swiftly. That could be due to the roller assembly itself, but so far all the tools have been impressive.The carpet roller, seems to be pulling up more dust out of the rugs then my large stand up vacuum, to the point that I have been doing our whole house with this thing instead of the standup… craziness! Even the little corkscrew rolling head has been fantastic for the carpeted stairs, no tangled hairs, strong suction to pull all that dust out, and the suction remains STRONG.Obviously with a handheld the only real drawbacks are the smaller cannister size (dirty, large spaces, may need more frequent canister emptying), and the possibility of having to clean out the filter more often. I have only cleaned the filter out once in the last few months, and the suction remains strong. And the stick connectors and attachment connectors could maybe be a little more solid (wobbles a bit).Overall, very impressed. Obviously we all wish it wasn’t so dang expensive. So buy one on sale, or an older gen? But if you CAN afford it, it has been very effective and powerful in my experience. Hoping it lasts me for years to come as some other reviewers say they have had with older models!

Amazing but uncomfortable
This product is incredible, great battery, great suction, the laser is so helpful in vacuuming all dust and hair. The only thing is the hand is extremely uncomfortable and is not ergonomic in the slightest. Vacuuming for more than 10 minutes especially you begin to feel how bad the handle is. It’s not so bad it makes me not want to vacuum though, it really is a great product aside from that

What’s more exciting than a new Dyson? Not much
Ok only been driving it 2 days and coming from a still functional v10- I definitely notice the suction connection this vacuum has with the rug underneath which I didn’t notice with previous:) and I think I may have said this when v10 was new SEVERAL years ago – but my rugs do look brighter than before v15 arrived- it has collected a very significant amount of stuff both outings- looks like dust and dog hair- sadly cannister doesn’t seem any/much larger than previous -of note it feels heavier but that may be that more intense locked on suction- always hoping for anything that will help borderline allergies/asthma- our floors are hardwood with large indoor/outdoor area rugs- house really set up for dogs/grandkids

Slick!
This puppy works! I thought the laser light on the “fluffy bar” and its claim to detect dust was a lot of hype. It’s not! It really shows dirt on the floors. Good assortment of cleaning tools that are practical.The only reason I’m not giving this 5-stars is because it’s not USA made like Amazon claims. Come on, Amazon, you can do better than that.

Love this!
The light is a game-changer! When I thought my floor was clean, I ran this over it, and wow, does it show you what was left behind before using this vacuum! I highly recommend it. In fact, my boyfriend bought another style and ordered the attachment with the light, so overall, that was a better price deal. But I wouldn’t trade this for anything!

Works great and easy to use
Purchased December 2023 and have not used central vacuum since. Easy to use and trigger versus switch is not an issue. Attachments are great. Three floor home with 3600 sq ft. We typically only clean one floor at a time so needing to charge between is not really an issue. Did not know I would have essentially replaced central vacuum with this. Had I known, would likely have purchased the model with larger canister and longer battery life.
