Ive been experimenting for a while now, and so far so good.I haven’t tries dex yet because I don’t have an updated tv but I’ll soon experiment with my desktop and see if I can wirelessly connect.I do wish they cam with the cable so I could connect to the tv that isn’t wireless.The other thing I wish is that it came with the cover for attaching the lynard. It’s a bit heavy.Runs decently fast for my needs.I also wish they would make apps that saved dated like our computers do so we can choose where to save the files it creates.That’s not on the tab tho.The s-pen is a game changer and the notes with fountain pen is awesome.I do wish they offered more decorative fonts with the built in apps as well.Also the case it comes with doesn’t allow easy access to the mini sd card. Thats a downer…overall I’m enjoying this tab!

The Active3 is the best tablet I have ever owned
I love this tablet because the engineers at Samsung thought of all the little details – The true sign of a quality product.For example you don’t get 2 speakers for stereo because the truth is, two cheap speakers a few inches apart is NOT stereo! instead the Active3 has one very good speaker that produces great sound. I don’t even bother to connect to my blue tooth speaker.Lastly – I recommend the Armor-X Rugged Case (not on Amazon, go to Armor-X.com and click on “Galaxy Tab”. it’s $50). It was the only rugged case I could find that included a screen protector and fit perfectly.In summary: Expensive but worth every penny. Enjoy!

Perfect for me
I received version T577UOYM3DVJ1. Using a Verizon Phone SIM card, LTE and Text (Verizon messenger app) works for me, but I can’t make phone calls. The solution for this is Google Voice, the only inconvenience is that you will get a new phone number for calls and not everyone feel constable using Google.If you want to use the stock dialer and messenger app you will need to link this table to another compatible Samsung device over Wi-Fi connection.

When covered with a Rantice heavy duty rubber case, this 8 inch tab feels perfect for the job. Screen resolution is quite good too. Handles AutoCAD Mobile app quite well.

The hardware is great, Samsung is not
I love the design of this tablet. The hardware is perfect for using in the shop and out in the field & even for fun stuff like as a motorcycle gps.Things quickly fall apart when you run into any bugs as Samsung support is utterly useless. For all their talk about business support and regular updates, the US unlocked version of the Tab Active 3 appears to be the forgotten child. Where the European model gets monthly security updates and received Android 12 some 6 weeks ago, the US unlocked version hasn’t gotten a security patch in 5 months, nor do they have a timeline for Android 12. Also the European version can be used as a phone, while the US version has that functionality locked out (although it does have a microphone and works fine as a phone if you use Google Voice or other apps, just not via the sim from your phone company). Samsung will tell you that you can use it as a phone as long as you also have a Samsung phone and they’ll let you pair the 2 together….If you have to carry a phone anyway, save your money and get the WiFi version and use your phone as a hot-spot.

Excellent tablet with accept…
I purchased this tablet for my crews in the field. The tablet itself is excellent, Snappy, great screen,strong wifi. However it will not connect to Verizon (see Photo).Unfortunatly we use Verizon so I had to use Straight Talk to activate this tablet which is by far the most expensive way possible ($ 75 for 20 gigs every 60 days…) otherwise this tablet is perfect!

Great Tablet
I wanted a tablet that I could use on the WIFI and CELL, plus this tablet can be used internationally.I tried to use my Google FI SIMS but the device quickly stated this device is not compatible. This is kind of funny since it supports T-Moble and ATT.All in all the tablet is great, the case is heavy-duty, quick to start up good screen.Now I have to wait to see if it will work in Africa.

Good investment, BUT…
It is an excellent product, BUT:1. You will need a second device for link the internet service;2. Additional, you will need an extra SIM CARD for the tablet ( data.)Conclusion: You need 2 devices with 2 SIM CARD to work with this tablet. I made consultation on Verizon (Doesn’t work with Verizon because it is a AT&T device); AT&T, and T-Mobil. Nobody can help me to use this tablet as tablet and phone only. I didn’t find additional information on internet about how to configure this tablet as tablet-phone, without linked with other devices. Maybe, it is possible somebody has further information.

Item arrived brand new in the box with a defective charger port in tablet.
Would not recommend this product to anyone. This thing is supposed to be rugged and durable and it won’t even charge brand new out of the box. Amazon even fights to give you your money back after they have received the defective product back at their return facility. Amazon still fighting dispute. Saying they haven’t received product back when I have tracking info.

BEWARE: This device does not support VoLTE (!), which renders it useless wherever this phone call protocol is implemented (all over the world).Otherwise, this is a tough device, big but not too much, at 8″ it can be held in one hand.It has all the good features of the latest Galaxy devices (except VoLTE).

Defective screen?
This must be a defective unit. The screen shows streaks out of the box. Either that or the screen is horrible.I also can’t figure out how to make phone calls and receive messages on this (using Verizon). I have seen reviews showing this tablet has a earpiece and can make phone calls. These options do not show for me.Seriously thinking about returning this device.

Great work tab
This is a great tab. Runs all the programs I use for work with little problem. One fault is they say you can change batteries. You can but have to take it the cover and case apart. Not an easy task. Hand writing works great!

Great rugged tablet but…
The LTE version can’t make calls directly with the sim card, you have to log in to another galaxy device. Don’t get the LTE version if you think you can use it like a phone.Very heavy, not an easy to carry around tablet for consumer use, but for work it’s well built.Very hard to get the case in or out.Good screen.Too expensive.Sound is so so.Good responsiveness.

Like having the three button below the screen avalible all the time. The pen works great and it’s storage slot in nice. Like the improved screen resolution. Like the abundance of memory storage. I like the 8 inch size it’s easy to hold in one hand and read or write on. Very satisfied with this tablet.

Durable Commercial use Tablet.
this is by far the best tablet I’ve ever owned. The 8″ size is perfect, battery lasts forever, and is crazy durable. The POGO charging is nice, but the ability to replace the battery is my favorite feature. It’s basically just a big X-Case Pro phone.

Using on ATT and love it
Love this tablet. Needs a bigger battery but since its removable you can just swap them out. It also charges really fast so it hasn’t been an issue yet but probably will be if I go on a long trip or something.Already accidently dropped it too. Can’t even see a scratch on it.

For an 8 inch tablet it is too heavy. I’m using it at home for reading. Maybe for other uses is fine. But if you’re thinking on it as a replacement for a phone to read, it’s too heavy unfortunately.

Too dim to be used outdoors
On full brightness, you can not see the screen in sunlight or even a bright day. The screen is also very reflective. I am much more likely to see something on my face than any app on the tablet.Seems durable. The case is rugged. Everything else seems good, but if you can’t use a ruggedized tablet in the outdoors, it is useless. Any cheap tablet can be used inside. I bought this one because it is ruggedized, water resistant, etc. so I could use it outside, but I can’t.

SMS feature is disabled and unlockable. No screenshot capabilities neither.
Thought this would be the perfect tablet for mobile office but after 2 days of tech support phone calls and countless internet searching there is no way to enable Premium text messaging services to allow SMS. Without the ability to receive verification codes for secure websites this tablet is useless to me. Additionally, SIGNAL APP is somehow incompatible with this tablet. Other thing I dislike is there is no screenshot feature in any of the quick menus.

Impressed by this tablet’s durability
So I’ve had this tablet for a minute. I was looking for a device that would replace my laptop, cell phone and WiFi device.Basically, I was looking for an all in one, portable device.I’ve been so far very impressed with this device. In an industrial setting, I’d probably upgrade the case it came with, to further protect it from everyday stress. But as I’m using it as my personal device, even using it at work in a restaurant setting, is far more durable than any cell phone or tablet I’ve ever owned. I used to be wary of Samsung devices in an every day setting, I found then to be very fragile and painfully lacking in upgrades and performance. I took a chance with this device, and I haven’t been disappointed.It hasn’t been submerged, but it has been rained on, snowed on (and dropped in the snow) dropped from a reasonable level, less than it’s rated for, but from a level where almost every other device I’ve owned from any other company has broken or at least suffered from. The pen is the same same quality.I haven’t bought any other case than what it comes with, which holds the pen nicely, and all I’ve added to it is a good screen protector and a cheap pop holder to make it easier to hold. That combined with a 1 tb external card, it’s better and more powerful than a laptop or smart phone of the same price.Like I said, I use it for everything, and it’s with me all the time and everywhere I go. It even fits in my pocket (I wear tru-spec pants, so my hip pockets are very large, which is where I carry it, if it’s not in my bag).The battery life is impressive, especially because I’m using it all day long. I might have to charge it everyday, but I’m also using it all day long.I highly suggest this device. Samsung stepped up their game with this one and won me back as a customer, because of this device, alone.

O item veio como esperado, embalagem íntegra, bem condicionado. Chegou dentro do prazo previsto, até com folga. Parabenizo e agradeço ao vendedor pelo cuidado e diligência. Sobre o aparelho, tenho usado o tablet e ele tem atendido bem minhas necessidades (trabalho e estudo). Não cheguei a por à prova suas características de resistência, mas só o fato de poder estar utilizando e transportando o aparelho sem quaisquer preocupações adicionais, isso está sendo sensacional. Não cheguei a usar a função LTE até o momento. Algo de que gostei bastante foi da autonomia. Uma coisa que vale ressaltar a qualquer interessado é que o aparelho é mais significativamente pesado do que os tablets da linha comum, mas isso é algo característico das linhas de aparelhos rugged, sendo já esperado, e não me incomoda em nada. No cômputo geral de minha experiência até o presente, eu recomendo.

The Classic Tablet setup
Removable battery, physical buttons, headphone jack, bright screen, comes with a case and S pen. This tablet is every I would hope for, while many may think the material/design is backward I like the fact that I can swap batteries, and it is not a fragile device. It obviously does not look as premium as the Tab S series but this has decent spec and more decent price. I snag it during the prime day deal and it was a steal. I have been contemplating if I should get a tablet because I am using. Z Fold but I did not regret it because it makes reading or watching movie a little more enjoyable.The only downside is the speaker is not as loud or even comparable to an A series tablet but that is not a deal breaker for me. Enjoying it so far.

Just received my third
My first Active Tab was, I recall, an Active 2. Great fun except not enough internal memory for many applications.I immediately purchased on Active 3 Enterprise with 128GB. A perfect friend for everything I do. Even though I managed to crack the screen last year – all my fault – it’s worked perfectly. You don’t even notice the hairline fracture. Very tough stuff.I just replaced it with the exact same unit 128GB with LTE. What happened is that I used a right angle USB -C plug. The plug shorted out and melted into the Active 3’s USB port. I had to carve it out with an exacto knife. Remarkably, the Active 3 bounced right back until this past weekend. It would charge but not with a reliable connection.I’ll add, I bought a 12GB 3F sim for $20, 1 year coverage. Perfect cell data backup.

would not boot up
the tablet itself was very sturdy and feels heavy duty. I liked the removable battery feature. The only problem was that it wouldn’t boot up at all. Charged it overnight. got a full battery indicator reading on the screen, but it wouldn’t turn on. Went through al of the internet reset procedures I could find. I also got on a chat with Samsung tech support. They told me I could send it in to them to see if they could repair it, or swap with a newer tab A model for an extra charge. The tab A is not a ruggedized tablet, and Why would I exchange the tablet for a lesser model for more money? Basically no help. Basically they want ed me to give them the old tablet and buy a different model for full price with no refund. I returned to amazon and went to best buy and bought something else that I could try in the store.

Great tablet for portable use!
8″ screen is just the right size for handheld use on the go. Big enough for extended reading sessions, not so big you can’t throw it in a knapsack. CPU and memory result in fast and smooth response. Build feels solid: no flex. I have used it in the rain without problem, have not had occasion yet to test water immersion tolerance, but don’t doubt it. I’m using it on Google Fi, cellular connectivity has been fine.I got this for use in car for navigation and entertainment (having an older and non-replacable built in), and on the boat for navigation, it runs those apps very well. But I can’t rate 5 star because screen is just not bright enough for use in direct sunlight. It’s rated 400 nit. This is plenty for any indoor use, and is good on a cloudy day, but I need to tip the screen down to read it in the sun. On the boat, I’m looking for some kind of hood I can use, haven’t found a good setup yet.

Practical, ruggedized yet good looking tablet
8″ screen is the perfect size for a tablet that aims at being useful both as a rich navigation tool when driving and as a handy tablet to carry around, use as a portable video player, as a notebook to use for form-filling, scribble on using the passive pen or take pictures. All even with one hand. Larger tablets, of course, offer more screen real estate but or not nearly as portable, are more fragile, and are not ruggedized like this one.CPU performance is mid-range. Display resolution and brightness are excellent; battery life is superior (2+ days).I have not been able to test it in high-temperature conditions (still winter-time), but even when used intensely, the battery temperature stays much lower than on equivalent phones. I expect it to handle high temperatures in the cabin much better than most phones.

Galaxy Tab Active3 – Upgraded from the original Tab Active with 16GB and Android 6, to this with 128GB and Android 10. A giant performance leap. Absolutely love this thing. The size is perfect. Like the ruggedness. Battery replaceable when it eventually poops out. What’s not to like ? I never really cared much for Galaxy phones, but in tablets, Samsung rocks.

Voice over LTE does not work but voice over IP does.
I think it’s a great rugged 8 inch tablet that met all my expectations. Well for some reason Samsung didn’t enable voice over LTE, voice over IP works fine. I use Google voice which is free and I can make and receive calls on this tablet! You can use internet connection sharing and connect other devices to share your LTE internet, but speeds are limited. However the tablet has DeX which lets you run Android on your laptop or TV wirelessly in an environment very similar to Windows 10! Your internet speeds are not limited when using Dex so you can watch videos at full 1080p. The only problem I have is all the software that Samsung ads to the tablet which is trying to duplicate everything that’s already on it from Google. it has room for two SIM cards (if you don’t mind giving up the memory card slot) and if you have one sim for LTE and the other one set up for 3g, theoretically you should be able to make phone calls over the 3G sim and get your internet over the LTE sim. I haven’t tried this yet I’ve only had this for a few days but so far I’m very impressed with it!
