Quality Sound
Overall performance is excellent; it is loud enough with crystal clear sound. On medium volume, the battery lasts up to 14 hours. The charging time to attain full charge is two hours. it is value for money, Amazon packing and delivery are excellent.

Pump up the jams.
The is definitely a party in a box, between listening to jams, hooking up a guitar and playing through it, or singing karaoke, this has you covered.The Pros:- It holds a charge as advertised, got near 20 hours between using Bluetooth and hooking up a guitar to play. Connecting to Bluetooth is easy.- The sound quality is great, you get good sounding bass and treble depending on the music played.- While slightly heavy, the wheels and handles help move the speaker wherever you need it.- You can turn off the light functions or change their color depending on preferences.- Has a USB-C port to charge portable devices.Cons:- It is heavier than other speakers in the market, so moving up and down stairs does take a bit of effort.- No way to adjust bass or treble on the speaker itself, the device you connect to will have to have these functions to do so.- Not a lot of beels and whistles when compared to other speakers in this category.Overall, the speaker is a good rate for the cost. You can spend a 100 USD more to get fancier/name brand versions of slightly better quality, but if you just need the tunes and not to worried about the overall bells and whistles, then this will be a great pickup.

Booming Speaker!!
I have to agree with the other reviewers!! This speaker is so good I purchased another one because my backyard is so big. Once I linked both speakers together the sound traveled throughout my almost 1 acre backyard. We used these LG speakers for my twins high school Trunk party and it had the entire crowd rocking.I will by one for my parents for Christmas for their backyard oasis.(6) star rating.

House Party Powerhouse with awesome pixel display screen!
This one brings the bass without sounding muddy. It goes plenty loud but never sounds distorted nor like it’s straining. And that’s on battery – if you plug it in it’ll go even louder.Really, this has a nice balanced frequency response, well suited to all genres of music. It has the (seemingly obligatory for this type of speaker) colored light ring circling the woofer, as well as some bright white LEDs that flash likeca strobe. Either or both can be switched off if you don’t want them or to let the battery last a little bit longer.Perhaps the most exciting feature is the exclusive pixel display, which can display text, graphics, and animations. Using the phone app, you can program your own custom messages and create your own graphics and animations. This can be a lot of fun, but it’s most effective in the dark or under cSubdued lighting. The pixel display is easily washed out in sunny outdoor conditions, though it is viewable in the shade, if not as impressive.Other features available only on the app are a DJ mode, which lets you play sound effects and other samples – choose from a preloaded library or upload your own, and a karaoke mode which tries (with varying levels of success) to minimize the vocals on any music, allowing you to sing the lead.This is primarily a Bluetooth speaker, but also offers a single microphone input, asvwell as an instrument input for a guitar or keyboard. Surprisingly it lacks a line/aux input. A workaround would be to use a Bluetooth transmitter, or you could use the instrument input, tho that is designed for lower level signals so might not be the best match depending on your source device.Overall this is a great party speaker. The lack of a line input is a minor inconvenience since most people will probably be using Bluetooth music sources, and that lack is more than compensated by the well balanced, clean, and powerful sound as well as the DJ and Karaoke features and especially the animated pixel display, which I’ve not seen on any other similar speaker.

This thing is crazy, could not be more happy with this!
I honestly can’t even believe something like this exists, it’s just amazing.When I first plugged this in, I was blown away at the bass and how loud this speaker could get without starting to have quality issues. The thing that really blew my mind was that like 30% volume is normal listening level, but at 40% or 50%, you literally might get noise complaints called on you, this thing can get LOUD.I’ve tried a variety of different speakers, from $30 knockoff brands to $400 Sonos speakers, and I have to say this is definitely an incredibly unique experience.On one hand, I would absolutely pick this speaker for any outdoor or party related thing, hands down. On the other hand, I would definitely not pick this for indoor normal music listening.This speaker – at least to me – seems to be more focused on achieving louder volumes without audio degradation than it is about specific audio quality. For example, if I listen to my Sonos and then listen to this speaker, the music almost always sounds better on the Sonos (which can also get pretty loud) but the bass and loudness of this crushes the Sonos speaker.As for the app experience and updating the speaker, adjusting the LED lighting and everything, it literally couldn’t be easier or a better experience. As soon as you pair this speaker with your iPhone (and I think Android does this as well) it immediately tells you to download an app that is designed for this speaker. Once the app is installed, you don’t even have to make an account or anything, it just instantly shows all the options to control the speaker and lighting and everything, all on one page with a very simple UI. I love the simplicity and ease of use of the app, and wish more apps like the Sony and Sonos apps would do a similar thing.All in all, I absolutely love this thing and think it looks and sounds incredible, and if I had parties a lot, wanted to listen to loud music a lot, or wanted a speaker that sounded great and loud with a long battery life, this would absolutely be the speaker for me. However, I usually just listen to my Sonos and HomePod in surround sound through AirPlay from my iPhone at my desk while I work, and I infinitely prefer that combination for my personal use case.10/10, absolutely recommend, this thing is incredible, just make sure it lines up with what you’re actually wanting to use it for!

Cool speaker with a unique display and a lot of customization options.
I’ll get the bad out of the way right off the bat. Price is a little high for this size speaker in the current market. It’s hard to be competitive with more established brands if you are priced higher. Bass isn’t quite as tight or deep as I would like. Overall upper range is a bit warm and lacking in detail. This can be improved, however, with the 3 band EQ in the app.The Pixel display is the real star of the show with this speaker. There are some pre-set animations and scrolling text messages, plus you can create your own with emojis or text. You can also select colors and options to set repeat to play through your selected scenes or just run the same one continuously. You can also customize the light around the woofer with patterns and colors. The app is a must have for this speakers, since there are so many customization options and features. Record your own 5 second sound clip and add it to the DJ section, where there are also other sound effects and a scratch pad. The options via the app on this speaker are excellent and plentiful.So overall this speaker does have a lot going for it, but the price is really the big issue. I think if this speaker ends up going on a substantial discount at some point it would certainly be worth a look. For those who like customization and features, this LG model has got serious game.

Amazing sound
This has been so much fun to use as a guitar amp, but the portability and customization options make it a great party machine. I wasn’t expecting it to weigh 35 lbs, but the wheels and telescoping handle make it easy to maneuver around.The app is a must-have because it controls lighting effects, playlists, and equalizers. It’s easy to plug a mic into the back and change the key of a song for karaoke night, but couples and duets will need to share a mic since there’s only one mic jack. The app works from both my android phone and ipad, which is nice for leaving a tablet as a controller on a stand nearby.The speaker housing seems decently durable, but I wouldn’t toss it in my trunk without securing it. It’s also splash resistant, but I still plan to be cautious around water. The battery life is great and can reach 20 hours if the lighting effects are kept off and the volume set to 50% or lower. I was able to get at least 12 hours of battery life while using low volume settings, boost eq, and most lighting effects.The ports on the back include one usb-a (for a drive stick or for charging devices), one mic jack, and one guitar jack. The top of the speaker has a sound boost eq button, which makes playback sound even richer and fuller.Overall, this speaker sounds amazing and is even better to experience in person.

An Impressive Portable/Party Speaker
I suppose most people will use this speaker for parties and such, however, that’s not how I am using this speaker. I ordered this speaker to provide high-quality audio for watching movies in our backyard on our 150-inch projection screen. And for that purpose, this speaker has been terrific.The first movie we watched while using this speaker was ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. I think it was a good choice. The action scenes sounded pretty awesome. I didn’t have the volume crazy loud, but it was pretty darn loud, and this speaker performed brilliantly. In fact, I like this speaker so much I am even considering buying another one so I can set them a good distance from each other and provide a wider sound field and a more immersive movie-watching experience. And, by the way, another super cool thing I was able to do with this speaker was use the programmable LED display as a marquee to scroll the name of the movie that was playing. Nice!Give this speaker a try. I am very confident that you will like it too. I don’t have any complaints about it so far. And now that I think about it, I don’t think I have ever been unhappy with an LG product. Great sound and range
This speaker is great to bring to the lake and to parties. I was really impressed by the sheer volume this thing can generate, and tend to refer to it as our ‘portable noise complaint’. It has an effective broadcast area (where it can be clearly heard) of a few hundred feet. The bass can be heard by others across the lake on the loudest settings.I really like the configuration options available in the app, and will have to spend some more quality time to learn everything that is available in there. I think there’s a way to make your own animations, but it looks like I have to have the speaker on to do that.One thing I noticed is that this speaker can get slightly louder if you have it plugged in. It isn’t a big difference, just a couple decibels louder.I really like the portability of this speaker, but I wish the wheels were larger. I found it liked to overbalance because of the small wheel size and high center of gravity. It doesn’t scuff too easily, but an improved wheel design would be appreciated.

This is an excellent portable speaker. About 27 inches tall, with a lot of nice features. The sound is the number one feature in my opinion, and this sounds great. The ability to be very loud with incredible bass if you want it. The lights and graphics are fun, but something I probably won’t use too often. If you download the LG app for this particular product, which is simple to do, you can control everything from your phone, including controlling all the sound features like a equalizer. There’s not much more to say except it’s very well designed, with an extendable handle and wheels so you can move it like a piece of luggage. The built-in battery is great so you don’t have to plug it in, unless you want to. It has a little pouch in the back to keep the cord and any other kind of connection items stowed away nice and neat with speaker all the time. Makes it hard to misplace those things when you want them. Definitely five stars. I hope this has been helpful.

This speaker is Feature rich and powerful! If you wheel this to a gathering you will get all the attention you want. It is producing wall vibrating sound and the battery seemingly lasts forever. The led lights are the perfect accessory to the speaker and flow well with the overall design. The connectivity via bluetooth is effortless as is the adjustability of the speaker settings. The app for the speaker allows additional configurability for the sound and light display. The main features to this are the massive size of this speaker and the fact that it has a large built in battery. This is the ultimate speaker for tailgating, pool parties or even movie nights. This can be the center piece of many gathering whether by the pool, beach or anywhere else.

Sound that pounds
Awesome speaker i use it for just about anything. I have a tv mounted on the back deck that has ok sound but even better using this to amplify sound was able to connect the speaker to theta via Bluetooth and it gave the amplification i needed to make moments more enjoyable. The smart lighting and features on this sub is awesome.

Powerful party speaker with bass boost
The LG XBoom is one serious party speaker. It blows the sound from my 80 watt speakers out of the water, and I have not yet taken it up to full volume. It is clearly meant to be a party speaker with 3 separate light displays: the large round central display which circles the (I am assuming) wqoofer, an animated display above that which resenbles a graphic eq (which it does not have,) and a strobe on top which is quite bright. It looks like a flash from a camera with a built in, and seems to appear randomly. In any case, it does not seem to relate to the music in any way I can tell. It also has selectable colors and programmable animation in the app.The speaker has a usb input for a flash drive and also has guitar and mic inputs for karaoke.With an ipx 4 rating it is splash-proof, but NOT waterproof, or even dust-proof. It sounds good outside (where I tested it) but you have to be cautious about the weather, because it is not waterproof. Personally I am worried about humidity, which we have a lot of (like 90-100%) and I honestly do not know how it fares in weather like ours, even inside.In terms of audio specs, I could not find any! It’s a somewhat strange trand, but few companies are revealing specs. LG has provided the wattage. which few will, but others (some) do givbe you the range. I knbow, for example, that Sony’s speakers are full range, and JBL’s are not. I am not sure about LG’s. or this speaker in particular. I can say that the highs and mids sound good. I took it through a range of music, and have a few pieces I use to test the high end, particularly on bass heavy speaker, and it performed well.In terms of size, it is BIG, and heavy. I was going to post a photo with my (80 lb) shepherd (It’s bigger) but because it has wheels he acted as though it was a vacuuum cleaner and got a little more excited than I want him to be around a nice speaker 😉 so, instead, there is a photo with my music player on top of it.But, it does have wheels (back only) and a pull out handle, much like luggage, which makes it easy to move (though I did ask my husband to carry it up the stairs when I wanted to take it out to our lanai to check on the outdoor sound.In terms of specs, LG’s page says it plays MP3s and WMA. which had me worried, so I disconnected the streaming player and connected a lossless music player, and it does play FLAC files as well, even though LG doesn’t specifically say that t does. Where it falls down a bit is in the lack of lossless transfer: no aptx, aptx hd, or ldac (it has sbc and aac).Foir those of you who are deciding between a range of speakers: the LG has a fairly unique feature in it’s color selection and animations, but the Sony is full range and does have lossless transfer. I have not tried the JBL party box, but the pulse, it’s smaller sibling, is very good (but also not full range). If you are looking for a party speaker, the LG’s lights and animations are pretty over the top, but if you have audiophile leanings, the Sony is full range and also has lossless transfer, is more accurate and detailed. Both have party link which means you can connect up to 100 speakers (and I am guessing be heard in space, or maybe just the edge of the atmosphere ;)I think they each have their audience. I gave my daughter another LG, and every time I have offered her a speaker since, she has said that she is pretty happy with the LG. I have been happy with all of the equipment I have gotten from LG over the years, and they have all held up well. I was on the fence regards rating this because it lacks lossless transfer, but it does have features (in the light show) that nobody else has… and it sounds very good, indoors and out.

The speaker is great!The sound is crisp and clean.I was expecting the volume to go a little higher but sounds great as is.The recording does not do this justice. It really does sound great.I like that it has a Bluetooth connection and that the tower speaker can be charged and used wirelessly. This is so very convenient.The lights follow the rhythm/beat of the music and they can be turned off.Overall I think it is great but at $597, I do find this tower speaker to be rather high in price, which is the reason for the 1-star deduction.

Wow! What a powerful and beautiful speaker!
I have always wanted a portable speaker to use for outdoor parties, softball games, and other informal gatherings. This item, while a bit pricey, is AMAZING. It was ready to go right out of the box. Installation took seconds. It gets loud without loss of sound quality. I was afraid to bring the volume up to its full potential for fear of attracting the police or shattering my windows. If you are willing to pay top dollar, this is the speaker to go with. Highly recommended!

Easy to connect and start using right out of the box. I would suggest downloading the app before it arrives. The bass sounds good. Gets pretty loud. I do believe this will be perfect for any type of party. I love the customizable pixels for the front, again very easy to apply. Handle and wheels to move it easy. It does weigh quit a bit. Lots of functions to still figure out but this speaker is GREAT!
