The buttons are on the wrong side!!!
Other than google’s blatant disregard for consumer expectations of use case, this tablet works fine. unfortunately, the placement of the buttons mean that every cover for it opens up the wrong way. I am momentarily enraged every time I pick this thing up. Besides the fact that you have to deal with google’s poor design choices, it’s exactly what you expect a midrange android tablet to be. Havent used it as a smart home dock because I uh, have a phone already as well as decent speakers. From my perspective the main reason to purchase this over other android tablets is that it runs stock android without all the awful bloatware you get on a samsung or comparable device. If that isn’t something you care much about, this might not be the tablet for you. It doesnt have many nice QoL features you might be looking for at this price point, like a display faster than 60 hz or any kind of fast charging.

Awesome for general everyday use. Streaming, YouTube, email etc.
Great tablet for everything. Upgraded from Galaxy Tab A9+ when it decided to stop working just after 3 months after purchase. Fast, decent battery life and no unnecessary clutter of system apps that I would never use. Ability to add multiple users and seamlessly switch is great. Didn’t get the stand but it’s something I’ll consider getting in the future. Overall great buy.

Dock Clunky, Made for Lefties?, Made for Landscape?
Update: I upgraded my rating to 4 as I’ve solved some of the gripes below and gotten used to how things work.I’m sure I’ll like this tablet more as I get used to it, but here are some things that bug me.1. Very Clunky UndockingYou can’t just lift the tablet up from the dock—the dock will come up with it. You can’t peel it away from the dock, same problem. You have to push down on one corner which makes the tablet clunk into the table. Sometimes after you do that, it re-grabs the magnets again and you must repeat the operation. I’m hoping I can find a better way to do this.My last tablet used a POGO dock, and I could just set the tablet down and pick it up. My wireless telephone has a simple dock that isn’t clunky. Why is this hard to implement?2. Orientation ProblemIf you’re right handed, you have a table on your right side, and you use the tablet in portrait mode, you will have to hold it upside down. If you don’t, you’ll have to rotate the tablet 180 degrees each time you put it in the dock. Holding upside down means that the power/fingerprint reader is on the bottom right, the volume up and down buttons work the opposite as you’d expect, and some apps will have screens that are upside down (they don’t autorotate). Also, the USB port will be at the top.3. Designed for Landscape Use?You can set an option so that the display won’t shut off after a timeout if it detects a face. But this works only when you hold it in landscape mode. In portrait mode, with the camera on one side, it is apparently unable to detect your face.4. Fingerprint Reader, Poor LocationThe power button/fingerprint reader is either on the upper left or the lower right. Both positions are inconvenient.5. No Battery Protect FeatureMy Samsung tablet had a feature to keep the state of charge below 85%, thus protecting the battery from degradation. This tablet does not have that feature.6. HeavierI expected this tablet to be lighter than my last one (since tech has improved). It is not.7. No Option to Do Something When DockedI’d like it to dim, display a clock, or turn off when I dock it. No such options are available, and I had to download Tasker to be able to accomplish that.8. Can’t customize 3-Button Navigation ButtonsYou can’t swap the “Back” and “Apps” buttons so that they will match the configuration on your phone. You can’t let them use the whole bottom line of the display.9. Limited Home Screen CustomizationThis has a big screen, but you can’t take advantage of it on your home screen. I installed the Nova Launcher to fix this.10. Clear all Button InconvenientWhen you open the task switcher, you must scroll all the way to the left to access the button to close all apps (called “Clear all”). It would be more convenient if it were aways present on the screen (there’s plenty of space for it).11. No Gesture for ScreenshotsMy last app let me palm-swipe from one side to take a screenshot. There is no such option on this tablet. Pressing Vol Down and Power is extremely inconvenient.12. Screenshots Don’t Automatically Go to Google PhotosI haven’t figured out yet where the screenshots go. On my last tablet they appeared in Google Photos. Hopefully I’ll find an option to fix that.13. Slow Charging? The charge level was under 20% when I put the tablet in the dock last night at 9 PM. At 6 AM this morning it was only 91%. Seems it should have been at 100%. I wonder whether charging through the dock is slower than through a USB cable.14. Plug/Port for Charging Dock is Not Standard (Not USB)!!Instead of a standard USB-C port on the back of the dock, there’s an old-fashioned concentric port of the type used many years ago. Thus you can’t replace the cord (which is not long enough for my setup) with a standard USB-C to USB-C cord.I’m hoping the tablet will grow on me, and I’ll find ways around the above problems.

Good for a simple tablet solution
The Pixel tablet so far seems to be a good tablet but it hasn’t really blown me away. I like how it feels in my hands and I can type without having to stretch my hands too much (I have small hands). I do have some problems pushing the power button when holding it, so it seems the power button design could be a bit better. It seems quick to respond to input. It had an issue with some apps crashing at first, but those went away after the apps were updated (make sure you update them all when first using, and then restart).Concerning value for the money, I think it’s a bit over priced. I haven’t found any quality that really elevates it over some of the cheaper Android tablet alternatives. For me personally, one thing it lacks is GPS capability, which I think you should get for the price. I wanted to occasionally use it for navigation because I don’t like the native navigation in my wife’s SUV, and it doesn’t have that capability, so that was disappointing.Overall, it’s a seems to be a solid tablet, but I don’t see it being worth paying much more than some of the cheaper alternatives.

It’s a Giant Pixel!
This Pixel tablet is so much like my Pixel phone that it is almost as if it is a giant phone. There are important differences of course. Casting is fast and easy from tablet to a TV with Chromecast. Video calls are clear with great sound. That said, this is NOT a phone. You can’t make and receive calls, only video calls (I use Google for this.) Everything in the Google-verse syncs, from laptop (Chrome) to cell, to tablet – if you want it to do so. The battery life is very good. I use a rapid charger, not the base that is available as I am not using Google Home. If you do, you will want the base. I’m very happy with this purchase, a replacement for an outdated Chromebook.

Great tablet, but the controls are backwards
I really like the tablet. It’s fast and smooth. Really good at running apps, etc. Camera is also good. I really only have one complaint …The fingerprint reader and the volume rocker are on the wrong corner of the device, if you are going to use it in portrait mode with a case that folds over the screen. This means to turn the volume up, you must press down on the rocker. Just annoying.

I love it
It’s the best tablet I’ve owned feels seamless picture quality is great speaker dock is amazing and charges the device

Very nice and functional tablet but screen quality is very poor
This is a premium feeling product and is best for people invested into the Google Home/Nest ecosystem. It is a good tablet but lacks power features like attachable keyboard/stylus. My main complaint is the screen quality. The screen is washed out and dim and they really need to implement an OLED into the next version.

Love Pixel Products!
I have had pixel products since the first pixel phone and this tablet is just as good if not better than the phones. Great screen. Great responsiveness. Great build quality and fantastic battery life.

Instructions Could Be BETTER
So far so good, but typical with Google the instructions are useless, and you cannot call anyone for help. So, it’s searching the Internet for any assistance you can find.

Fantastic!
I’ve always had Samsung tablets so there are changes to learn, but I’m thrilled with this tablet!!! I love the dock that keeps it forever charged so easily.

Great performance
Perfect size, bright screen, great resolution. Performance is what you expect from a Pixel device.I love the fingerprint sensor built into the power button. (Too bad the pixel phones put it under the screen.)This is also a very competitive price for a premium table.t

This product is excellent.
My husband loved his Father’s Day gift. He has it sync’d to his Google Pixel phone. Now that he has a bigger screen than the phone, he enjoys reading again. I previously gave it a rating of 1 because it was in my Alexa notification and he heard about the item. It was supposed to be a surprise.

It’s fine, nothing too special, some oddities
Pixel phone/devices user, Nest devices and Google Home user here.PROS- Works well enough as general use tablet for media consumption and smart home control.- Works well as an e-reader. Graphic novels, comics, and manga look nice- Strong magnet keeps the tablet secure when docked- Speaker in dock is okay, more volume and bass when tablet is docked but not necessarily better audio (depending on your rooms audio environment or audio content played)- Serves as another device to be able to cast to when in hub mode.CONS- Some minor software quirks. Apps not optimized for tablets will look awkward. Some occasional refresh rate hiccups. (Update: not seeing refresh rate hiccups much anymore, maybe an update fixed it)- Not much incentive to use hub mode, for now personally. I usually end up unlocking it to do whatever i need it to do.- Casting to it gets you limited functionality in hub mode than when you just unlock it then use video apps.- Assistant continued conversation is not available so having to say “hey google” for each command for Google Home controls is annoying especially for a Nest hub alternative such as this. I find myself going next to my Nest speaker or using my phone for multiple assistant commands.- Undocking is awkward. The dock is light and can be easily picked up by the strong magnet when lifting the tablet. Undocking requires you to tilt or hold the tablet on certain angles while pulling it or else you risk picking up or moving the dock then potentially dropping it when near the edge of the table. The ads they have showing people just picking it up easily from the dock are lies. You will need adhesive on the bottom of the dock if you decide to place it permanently.- Camera could be better which is a shame as it has the same photo editing software capabilities as the Pixel phones.- Options to change what’s displayed on hub mode is limited, future software updates may fix this later.- Fingerprint reader placement on the thin power button on the side so close to a corner is awkward for a tablet this size. Unlocking this by fingerprint in tablet mode while it’s lying flat on a surface will usually require holding it for stability, granted your finger can be read by the thin fingerprint reader. If you can’t then you’ll just end up picking it up just to unlock it. This fingerprint reader placement on power button would have been fine on a phone that you can easily operate with one hand. (OR I guess you can just enter your pin on screen if you don’t mind.)- As a smart home display alternative, the Google Home display, even in hub mode, cannot show views from non-Google but “Works With Google” surveillance cameras (such as Reolink). This feature still only works with dedicated smart displays or chromecast TVs.This works well enough as a general use tablet and I still like it. Battery life and charge time could be better but as long as you dock it when not in use, it should be fine. As a Pixel device that has similar (if not the same) Tensor chip as Pixel phones and being marketed as a tablet/smart home hub hybrid, it’s nothing special. My phone can do everything this tablet can, sometimes better, except for having a bigger screen of course. The phrase “jack of all trades, master of none” comes to mind sometimes. Hopefully, future updates will make this more compelling (update: or a sale price, which I see nowadays).

What’s not to love
This tablet is my daily sidekick, I’m quite enamored with it. Well made and easy to use, the speaker dock works great and this thing is durable. Battery typically lasts all day, and I’m listening to music while working and playing games periodically. Would recommend, hands down!

Best tablet I’ve used in a long time.
This tablet is amazing! It is light weight, has a good amount of storage, it charges reasonably fast, it is very durable and won’t bend or break because you accidentally set it on your couch too hard. It is a bit pricey but it is worth for what you are getting when using this tablet.

Love my new Pixel tablet. I traded in my iPad Air Gen 4 for this, and so far I don’t regret it at all! Looks Amazing, the 8GB really makes it fly, and it feels so good in the hand (even though I have it in a case. 🤓

Very happy with this purchase
I bought an Android tablet around Christmas time and after 5 months it failed so I purchased this at its place. It cost more but it’s definitely worth the money. I believe in paying more for quality product instead of trying to save money and I’m glad I made this purchase. It’s speedy and downloads well. No issues so far so I give this five stars

Love it
I looked at a lot of reviews and complaints. I have 3 other tablets from other major makers and they are not as good. they are slower to start and do not refresh as quick. I am a Pixel fan since Nexus 2. Travel overseas a great deal and the google tablet works without issues not like the iXXX fruit mfg one which quick the first day in China.

Ergonomics nightmare
[leaving Android details aside, they keep changing; this is about hardware only]The most inconvenient tablet I’ve used since tablets emerged.Buttons are located in a place no other tablet or phone places them. Can’t get used to this after several weeks of active use, keep searching for them every time. Volume buttons are located opposite the expected and natural way. Power button is too deep and too stiff to press, an effort needs to be made every time you have to press it (thankfully, there’s “tap to wake up”, but you still need to do it when you lock the screen). The dock is even worse. An attempt to change the volume with one hand drops the tablet off the dock right away. There is no way to lift the tablet off the stand with one hand without making a thumping sound when the dock lifts and falls back on the surface it stands on. Even with two hands, you have to reach out and hold the dock with one hand and the tablet with the other. There is no reliable and obvious way to put the tablet on the stand without looking – you have to aim and place, and again, it will make a sound. Magnetic force is not a reliable indicator of the table being firmly on the stand – it may feel that it is locked, but then boom! it drops right off. Forget about using this dock as a convenient nightstand.Absence of wireless charging makes you being stuck with the standard dock, or using the USB-C connector to charge it.The sound quality of the dock itself is not better than the tablet itself, no benefit there, either.Disappointed.

Disappointing
I was hoping to replace my Google hub with the larger screen of the tablet with the dock but at the end of the day it just doesn’t work as well as the hub it doesn’t respond to “hey Google” sometimes. Sometimes it updates the display but doesn’t speak the results like for “what time is it’. It’s very frustrating. It will likely be returned and I’ll go back to using the hub.

Great tablet with features that fit my bill
Google did a great job creating Pixel tablet while extending its Hub platform. This tablet is meant to be sitting on your desk or near your bed and its always there for you to see the content, be it videos, news or music. Need to use it as a tablet? Just grab it from the hub speaker and off you go. These are great features for me – when I work I have news or music playing, when I need to read some docs or watch technical videos I can move to the couch rather than stand behind the desk. One of the reason I chose Google Pixel is the same reason I buy Pixel phones – I want pure Android without any bloatware. The tablet itself is very well made and fingerprint power button works flawlessly. I’ve read some reviews that say that speakers are not that great – I am not an audiophile, for me the speakers work well, and when its sits on the speaker hub, the sound if even better. One negative aspect about the speaker hub is that you cannot stream audio to it from another device, this is bad at least for me, because when I am on Zoom calls I would love to stream audio to the hub. May be Google will add this feature in an update? If you are looking for a tablet cover, I recommend https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CBFL48C3, it wraps tablet very well without being in the way.

Best tablet ever
I’ve had several tablets and can safely say this is the most user friendly and most comfortable to use tablet.I have 0 complaints for this device at all.The battery lasts for basically 2 days, fits in hand perfectly, I have dropped it several times even in concrete and no damages. Connects to Internet quick without any trouble, when I go from home to store to my girlfriends it doesn’t even take a second. Great price as well.

Quite happy with this
I’ve owned several Samsung tablets over the past few years. I am not a super-power-user; I mainly use my tablet for email, messaging, reading and light gaming, so I usually go for lower-end models. My last tablet started coughing up blood a while ago. It became agonizingly slow, especially for some sites and apps with heavier processing and display-rendering requirements. I started looking for a replacement and discovered that Samsung doesn’t really make 7″ or 8″ tablets anymore and the ones they have now are expensive.I have a Samsung phone and am very comfortable with their UI. I was a little apprehensive about changing to another manufacturer’s interface. However, with a price difference of over $300, I was incentivized to take the plunge.Overall, I am very happy with the pixel. I would rather it be in a smaller size but the 11″ form factor works well enough. I became quite comfortable with the “pure” android UI in no time at all. I am able to use all of the apps that I had on my Galaxy tablet and moving content from one to the other was a breeze.I should qualify my review with the fact that I do not use any of the Google Home products or apps, nor do I use the recharging base/speaker for what it was intended. I just use it to charge the pixel when I’m not using it.Net-net, if you’re looking for an android tablet for what I use mine for, this is the one I would get.

does NOT come with a charging brick
So far, I like my tablet. It’s brand new, but was disappointed that it did not come with a charging brick and both ends of the USB cable are C. So I have to use an old USB C and A cable to charge it. Not really a complaint, just a heads up. Be sure to buy a new charging brick!

Google products have taken a complete nose dive. Do not buy this poorly thought out product!
I am a life long Google fan boy from the first Google Nexus phones forward and when somebody like me can get fed up enough to think about selling every Google product I own things are not good in the neighborhood. So let’s start with the installation. Me and what looks like 1000’s of others had a absolute mess of a time trying to get both the hub and tablet to connect correctly to the Home app it took multiple hours on the phone with tech support to tell me to factory reset, upgrade my 300 dollar router that is a month old, and reinstall about 15 to 20 different products. Great work Google!A month later and it still doesn’t always show up when trying to set up a broadcast across multiple speakers and sometimes just completely disappears from the app. If I’m honest this might be a issue with the app itself. Every new update has honestly made the experience worse and worse over the last 2 or 3 years and that makes me sad because at one time this ecosystem was just amazing.Cons:- broken set up that takes hours and multiple factory resets of the whole system- broken app (just Google “Home app issues” and you will see what exactly the problems are.- UI in hub mode is just a pop up version of the home app devices screen. No change in interface to make it easier to use as a hub (like the Hub Max does) and same sized text that makes it impossible to read at arms reach the way most people would use it in hub mode.- The hub itself goes in and out of existence depending on what the Home app is willing to allow.- The hub also sounds like it might be made out of tin cans. If you want audio quality similar to the Hub Max do not get this. Hell, if you want audio quality better than the Home mini speakers don’t get this.- Bezels! Everywhere! But that’s normal for Google and I actually like that my fingers aren’t always accidentally hitting the screen so? Depends on your preference.- I didn’t think that the placement of the volume and fingerprint reader would bother me but it absolutely does. If the tablet is docked the power button and volume are on the top side in the far right corner. Alright, fair enough. But when you take the tablet off the hub and are holding it, it’s a very inconvenient placement. Most of all when you use it in portrait. Because now you must scan your other hand at the top left or constantly hit the buttons accidentally at the bottom right. Putting a little thought behind the placement would have been putting it on the right side top when docked. It would have made everything so much easier.- I know that Google said right before release that this would not be a replacement for the Hub Max and man were they not lying! It does almost nothing that the Hub Max does. Not even show active doorbell cams or anything!Pros?– I guess it’s fairly smooth running when it’s just a tablet the new Google chip set seems to be doing well. That being said I mostly only use Google apps on the tablet that are all custom built for the tablet. I’ve heard 3rd party apps haven’t been great yet but that should change if Google makes anymore of these things after this first Gen disaster.- I personally think it looks nice while docked. With that said you are limited to about 4 different clocks or using you Google Photos as a screen saver. Very little customization for a Google product.- I’m really trying here but they have just completely missed the mark with this device. In closing. If you want a middle of the road Android tablet that gets charged nicely on a stand and is out of the way when you’re not using it. Then maybe buy this. If you want any functionality with the Home app ecosystem in any meaningful way or a hub screen that is well thought out and useful I wish I could say just get a Hub Max because they are awesome! But the way the Home ecosystem is headed and it hurts me to say just stay away from Google smart home products.

Me encantó.

Pixel Perfect: My Elderly Parents and the Tablet That Brought Us Closer
Before the Pixel Tablet, the tech felt like a chasm between my elderly parents and me. Sure, they had phones, but video calls could have been more better. Enter the Pixel Tablet with its charging speaker dock – a game-changer for tech and our relationship.Simplicity, Amplified: The dock cradles the tablet, keeping it charged and ready for their “Hey Google” summons. There’s no fumbling with cords or confusing menus – just a tap or a voice command, and they’re connected. Suddenly, video calls became crystal clear, their faces beaming without lag. We could virtually tour their garden, share recipes, and even watch movies together, the sound booming from the dock like a mini home theater.A Window to Their World: The tablet’s interface is so intuitive even tech-timid parents like mine could navigate it. The large icons, clear text, and voice control empower them to explore independently. They discovered YouTube cooking tutorials, rediscovered old music, and even started playing simple games – their laughter echoing through the house, a sound I hadn’t heard in years.Safety Net Woven with Tech: The built-in smart home controls became their guardian angels. They were adjusting the thermostat, dimming the lights, and checking the front door camera – all from the comfort of their armchair. The fall detection feature gave me peace of mind, knowing they’d get help if needed.More Than a Gadget, a Bridge: The Pixel Tablet transcended a mere device; it became a bridge. It brought us closer, sparking conversations about their favorite videos, the news, and memories. It’s not just about tech; it’s about connection, engagement, and a renewed sense of independence for them.Imperfections Don’t Dim the Shine: The battery life could be longer, and the app selection for seniors could be more comprehensive. But these are minor quibbles compared to the joy, the connection, and the sense of security this tablet has brought. For anyone looking to bridge the tech gap with their elderly loved ones, look no further than the Pixel Tablet with its charging speaker dock. It’s more than a screen; it’s a doorway to a closer, more joyful relationship. And for that, it gets a perfect five stars from me and a grateful heart from my parents.

A decent tablet
I bought this to replace a Samsung tablet that had turned into a brick. So far, I am pleased with my purchase.Pros:Good battery life. After watching YouTube for hours and surfing the web, it lasts about a work day. Charges quickly on the docking speaker.USI stylus comparability. Good for Keep Notes note taking, drawing, and as a “mouse”Pictures and videos are clear.Docking speaker sounds good, and adds depth to music and video sound.Operating software is only about 15 gigs, so far.Easy to set up, and the Google accounts have synced across devices. The calendar widget is awesome!Cons:The cameras are lacking, but at 8 pm I’m not complaining. While drawing (with stylus or with finger) there is a minute lag from touch point on the screen to the drawing portion. I’ve tried to adjust it, but can’t figure out how or if I’m able to.The pull up from the bottom of the screen to close open apps is a little slow, and sometimes doesn’t register. This isn’t really a con, but is odd: most apps aren’t made for tablets, so they show up as a bar/phone like display when in landscape mode. You can move this display from the left, middle or right, and use multiple apps in split screen mode. It does run a little slower then, but isn’t a deal breaker for me.Overall:I got this on a lightning deal, and am pleased. I would purchase again if I had to on lightning deal. The Hub screen is not like Nest Hub- it shows media, weather, etc… and is customizable, but doesn’t have all of the Nest Hub features. This tablet is a good tablet for media consumption and a little more. Ididn’t receive the case I ordered with it, so cannot say anything about that.

Great Tablet for Certain Use Cases
I originally purchased this tablet to replace my galaxy tablet that I used as my daily driver tablet. I liked that fact that this had a dock so that whenever I went to use the tablet it would always be charged and ready to go. After using this tablet for several months here are my thoughts on how I like the tablet and how we use it my household.I just made the switch over to Google as my smart assistant and I was also in the market to upgrade my tablet. So I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone and get a smart display that converted to a tablet for use. The tablet itself works great. Very fast for every task I threw at it. I stationed the tablet in my kitchen so that I could use the assistant to look up recipes, listen to music and watch tv shows while I did dishes. It worked great for this. My wife, who is an iphone and ipad user, even started using the tablet because it was easy to use and it was stationed in the right place to just reach over and use. This is where I see this tablet really shine. As a shared device, this tablet works amazing. Anybody can come along and do what they need to do while the tablet is docked and then walk away once they are done with it. For quick questions they can ask google assistant and for longer tasks they can grab the tablet off the base and take it with them. This is where I noticed the downside. Because we treat this as a google assistant for the kitchen, it can be annoying if someone grabs it and takes it to another room to use. That has limited me from using it fully as my daily driver tablet. If I am leaving for a trip or going out for the day, it is an inconvenience for my family to go without a smart speaker for the day/ weekend. This is why it has not replaced my daily driver tablet. For those thinking about purchasing this tablet for use as a smart display for the home and a tablet will need to consider whether or not it will be inconvenient for it to moved for use as a tablet. If your single and plan to bring it with you when you leave the house for use as your tablet, I see no issues. However as soon as you use it as a shared device, its tablet finctionality may become used less as you will want to keep docked for the whole family to use.So long story short, I think this tablet changes the game for a shared device. It has a home on its dock, anyone in the house can use it as an assistant and anyone can come along and use it in short bursts for whatever they need it for. However, as soon as you go to use it as a tablet and it gets moved from its home, it can be inconvenient for others who use the tablet as a smart display. This could be fixed in a future iteration where the dock can act as a google home speaker when the tablet is removed and then function as a smart display when docked. But as for the first iteration, I would only purchase this for use as a tablet if it will not be a shared device.Performance is very good and the tablet does not lag or stutter with anything I have thrown at it, It feels very snappy during navigation and it can play back all major streaming apps with no hikcups. However it has not replaced my daily driver tablet for the reasons above as a shared device.

Really Nice Tablet, Looking Forward to Future Updates
I like this tablet a lot, and for the value, you get your money’s worth. It is an 11″ tablet, but feels very light, and thin, yet durable, which is nice! The system itself, I had some issues with it initially being kind of slow and laggy, but after I restarted it, it seems to be working just fine. I’m sure that some of that was just due to the initial updates and it getting up to speed. Has been working really well since then. A lot of nice features, and easy to set up (not much bloatware which is nice). The fingerprint reader is working just fine for me, and it is fast and efficient. It also does have good storage space, but is not expandable, so make sure you’re paying attention to the size that you might need to grow into. Battery life seems to be holding up just well so far, and everything about it is working great. The only issue I have, is that I do feel like there are still some areas of improvement with updates in the future. For instance, one of the options is to have keypad and touch noises when you’re using it (I like the little doots that you get when you’re typing), but even with that enabled it’s not making any noise. The other issue I’m seeing is that there is no option for the screen to go dark easily when it is docked to the hub. If you set a screen saver, which I like, because it can give you information on what the weather is, rotating wallpapers, whatever, it will not turn off on its own after a while. It just stays on that screen saver. You can turn the screen saver off entirely in the settings, and then the screen will go dark. But I was hoping for something more like the Google Hub, where you set it for your photos, or art, or whatever you choose to put on the resting screen, but there’s also an option for it to turn off after a while. This either has screensaver option, or no screensaver at all if you actually want the screen to turn off while it’s docked. Other than that it’s probably one of the best tablets that I’ve used, so I am still very happy with it. And even with those faults, I would still highly recommend it to anyone who’s interested!

A bit pricey but very nice
I know, I know, you can get better specced tablets for less money. But this is a purge android experience (no junk or bloatware) and it comes with a dock. We had a lenovo google display in the kitchen but it is a piece of junk so we replaced it with this. This works as a google home, shows our photos when docked but can also be easily lifted off the base and used for recipes in the kitchen or anything else, anywhere else.I got a deal on the tablet and case combined and I certainly recommend the combo. The tablet can be docked while still in the case and the case has a handy pop-out stand.Recommend.

Fantastic tablet with unique features!!
When I heard Google was making a tablet, I was intrigued (especially after my previous budget tablet’s charging port accidentally overheated). I bought this tablet right after Christmas with expedited shipping (which was worth it!!!) and it performed as well (if not better) than expected! The low-latency casting works smoothly and the speaker charging dock is great (especially that it is big on bass). One thing I was confused about is how Google advertises that it can link to your “Pixel devices,” however, I can’t find anything to directly link it to my Pixel 5a other than the Messages app. This tablet does have great performance, because I’ve been able the play games while having music split-screened with no problem. Using it feels almost seamless.A drawback from this being another Android tablet is that about half of the apps you use are likely going to use only a fraction of the screen, since they were only developed with phones in mind, with the only options for working around is manually setting it to use the entire screen, or using Chrome. The battery life (so far, since I’ve only used this for a day) seems to withstand large tasks and has power for all day! I’ve spent several hours using this, from looking up news to playing games, without the need to fill up the battery. This tablet does have the feature that stops it from charging once it hits 90% to protect the battery, but I did find the button to allow it to charge to 100% in Settings > Battery (only shows when it’s charging). Some people have complained that the screen stays on while this is charging at night if you set up the screensaver, but there must’ve been an update, because mine turns into a dim clock that doesn’t disrupt your night.Overall, this tablet works great. I am glad I got this (especially while it was 20% off)! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new, powerful Android tablet.

Favorite Android tablet
This tablet immediately became my new favorite Android tablet. It fills and runs exactly like my pixel phons, which I love. I really enjoy the dock and undock experience, and the convenience of having both a hub in my home and the ability to take the tablet on the road. When necessary. I would recommend this this device to anybody who is looking for a new new Android tablet.

Latest Googlesphere expansion on my desk…
Just received – I’ve had my eye on this for some time. Prime Day provided the incentive ($350 for the $500 bundle) to push the Buy Button. I chose the 128gb version, as I am mostly Cloud oriented.Setup went pretty smoothly, despite some deviations from my New-Google-Device past experiences. Configuration was straightforward for the most part, with opportunities to return later and tweak or deal with unfamiliar parameters later through settings.Almost at once, I was overcome with a desire to interface with a mouse rather than constantly smooshing my grubby fingers around on the pristine screen, so I rounded up an ideal Motorola Bluetooth mouse and proceeded to poke around and get things set up and tested. My overall impression is of a smaller device (screen and base) than I had anticipated, despite knowing the dimensions. But it gave me back a considerable amount of desk space compared to the previous two-Chromebook mess. I intend to use it as a desktop telecom and video display device primarily. Audio quality is quite good on the base – so far I have not tested for sound quality undocked.Quite happy so far…

It has it’s place in the tablet world
I didn’t really need a tablet computer, But I saw this and wanted it. Anyone with the Google Nest Max display, would know what I mean. This Pixel tablet can be everything you wish the Max display could do. Place this Pixel on its dock stand, it’s a Max plus you can add a BT mouse and keyboard to make it a small computer. It works with wireless headphones and buds with great sound, similar to my Z fold 5. it’s android 14, like my phone but I do wish some of Samsungs phone apps could be placed on this tab, like Device care to clean up and optimize this tablet too. No complaint with this at all.

Finally, an android tablet thats ultra easy to install Graphene OS etc on!
It took less than 30 minutes to install graphene os on this tablet, thanks to google letting you unlock the boot loader. Excellent battery life. 500 nit screen that doesnt get dim when it gets warm like every single Apple product, because it never gets warm even under a constant 100% load. The speakers sound like crap, the dock, however, sounds better. Like crap with a spritz of febreeze.Warning: Though the Tensor G2 processor supports 32bit programs, Google has disabled its support. There are some vagueish posts on the XDA Developers forums on fixing this, which means you will likely not be able to remedy this. TLDR: You will not be able to run 32bit android programs. Which ones are those? Easy! They will either not show up on the app store, or if they are in your library, they will show as not compatible with your device. This is an Android 14 thing and is going to be unavoidable. All of these negatives are completely overridden by the ability to completely tame google play services, and turn this into one of the most secure, privacy respecting tablets in the world.

Google Pixel Tablet does Not Work with ‘Watch Duty Fire’ app
Nice tablet, fast, great screen, nice sound dock but as I live in Northern California and the ‘Watch Duty Fire’ app is a must have I can not recommend for this area. The Watch Duty app does not work with this tablet. Seems to be a MUST fix feature. Other places probably no problem. As of now, will rely on my Galaxy S tablet.

A little glitchy, but way better than ipad
We bought this to replace the ipad on the boat. It is occasionally glitchy, and the screen will freeze when navigating, always in tight spots. At least it recognizes its charge cable so that alone makes it better than the ipad it replaces. Hoping to resolve the freeze glitches with updates, itherwise it’s solid equipment and feels natural to those of us who use Google Pixel phones.

Only Buy from Authentic Amazon Seller
Product is good. But DO NOT BUY from 3rd party sellers. Only Buy this product when you see the item is sold by “Amazon”. Some of the 3rd party sellers are selling the products procured from Grey market and Google might lock the devices as it is not allowed to sell them on any marketplace. So be careful when you make a purchase.

It is fast, thin, and works very well for what I need
I upgraded for a Samsung Tab s2, yes, that is really old and slow. So this tablet is super fast for me. The finger print sensor works very well, the display is great and it runs very fast. I do not use it for games and I have not attached a bluetooth keyboard. the upgrade process was kind of cool, as I used bluetooth to connect to my old device and transfer about 65 gig of apps and data ( it took a couple of hours ).. The stuff I don’t like, hmm, the hints that come up frequently to remind me that I can do more with it. I have turned off most of these. I am hoping for a nice cover that has an adjustable tilt and doesn’t cost 80 bucks.A big reason for me choosing this over the many other options is that this runs pure android and I am assured of at least 5 years of upgrades. I do not like to get stuck with another ecosystem like Samsung ads to their tablets.
