New on sale and great value

This iPad mini 6th gen was new and almost $100 off the full retail price. I like the small size which makes it so portable and the expanded memory which gives me room to download a movie or two for travel.

    Great for daily usage

I got this for my friend who is a junior doctor and needs a book like device to make notes or do her tasks easily and this really helps as its size is convenient to hold for longer durations. Paired with apple pen made it perfect!!

    Perfect Size!

As an avid “Apple pro” purchaser, this was a welcomed change. It is the perfect size for the treadmill during the long 10k steps days. The display is high quality and the colors are vibrant!

    Love my iPad mini!

This is only the second ipad I’ve ever had. I the first I had for years and it was one of the big 10 inch ones.I LOVE this ipad mini. It’s so much more convenient to hold for reading and I love that there’s no home button in the center. I like the finger print sensor being on the top button. It’s very easy and honestly the cute colors are a 10/10.I keep leaving all of my apps open so I can’t really speak for battery life since they’re all in the background. But for having 15 apps open it stays alive pretty well LOLHoneslty for the $400 sale I got it on its great. It’s perfect for what I need it to do and I’d definitely buy another.I love these mini sizes and I don’t think I’d ever buy a larger tablet again after having this size.

Beautiful color and easy to carry around

I had been going back and forth between the iPad mini and Kindle reader. I decided on the mini and I am not disappointed. I love that I can read my books even without WiFi and it fits in my purse or bag nicely without feeling like I’m carrying around a laptop.

    Love this Mini iPad.

This was so easy to install. Size is perfect. Just a tiny bit larger than my Mini 4. There is no Home Screen button to press which I really like. Even installed my new printer with it. Very happy with my purchase.

    Upgraded from the Mini 4

So I decided to take the plunge and buy the Mini 6, since my Ipad mini 4 battery life was not lasting as long as I’d liked. I have owned my Ipad mini 4 since 2018 and have used it primarily in the cockpit. It served it purpose and lasted a long time.I bought this right at the right time as it was $399 and I just noticed that a couple days later the price jumped up to $469.Compared to my Ipad mini 4, the speed on this bad boy is great! The battery life is also great! over 3 hours of flying with aviation apps/stratux running in the background and it was at 68%. My Ipad mini 4 was 68% after barely 1 hour of flight. There is no home “button” on the mini6 and it makes for a cleaner design. Screen is slightly bigger and although they say the image is better quality than the 4, my eyes could barely tell the difference. All in all, happy with my purchase, my main happiness comes from renewed and long battery life. I bought the 64GB which is plenty for what I use it for.Another perk of purchasing a new Ipad mini 6 was that It comes with 3 month free of Apple TV along with other free 3 month trials of Apple services. If you need to upgrade, I’d for sure buy the mini 6, just might want to wait until it goes on sale again.

    My first iPad

I’ve been wanting an iPad since they were first introduced, but when I tried to use them they were too heavy and it was difficult to use the pen for taking notes. This generation finally has all the features I’ve been wanting to bridge between my desktop and laptop computers. It feels right, has decent battery life, and does everything I wanted, especially when combined with the paperlyke screen saver.

New iPad Mini 6 – spot on!

Researched and researched and researched…until I found the product (Apple), size (Mini), capacity (64) and power (A15) I/we wanted…and for a great price! Did I say NEW? NEW…and with the one-year warranty. Should set us up now with iPhones and Mini iPads while recycling 6 other non-upgradable items back to Apple Store. Great item and experience…

    A fun size iPad!

A great small iPad that has all the features of the full size iPad but less weight to hold. Easy to set up if you have an iPhone or iPad already. Transfers all your apps, etc. Apple Support is great if you have any questions.

It’s not the size of the wave, it’s the motion of the ocean.

As a user of iPad Pro and iPad Air of the ~9″ variety, I dismissed the Mini line as being too small or too large. Boy, was I wrong. This is really a great size for just about anything I want to do on a screen in my lap: read, watch, listen. Apple seems to dismiss this sub-section of the product line with last-turn for updates, but I guess that just means they’ll hold their own longer.

My first iPad and I love it!!!

I’m not an Apple girl. Always been an Android/PC girl, so this was my first Apple purchase and I absolutely love it. As soon as I can get the money together I’m buying a second iPad for my daughter as a gift. So many things I love about this product: it’s sleek look, it’s light-weight, which makes it so easy to hold while I read, and it’s size. I really love the mini-size of this iPad. I can take it with me wherever I go. I also love how fast it is — the internet, moving from one app to the next, etc. This is a really great iPad and I am so glad I purchased it.

    Compact Powerhouse with Great Performance

The A15 Bionic chip ensures that everything runs smoothly and quickly, from browsing the web to handling more intensive tasks. The 8.3-inch Liquid Retina Display is stunning—vivid and clear, perfect for streaming videos or getting some work done on the go. The addition of Wi-Fi 6 is a nice touch, offering faster and more reliable internet connections. The 12MP cameras, both front and back, are a fantastic upgrade, making video calls and photography much sharper and more vibrant. Plus, Touch ID is quick and reliable for unlocking the device.

Kind of a dud of an update

I’ve had an iPad Mini 4, 5 and now 6. I use them in the cockpit of a small plane, which is one thing Apple is now marketing the Mini 6 for. But I also use it for general tablet stuff; web browsing, watching YouTube, listening to music. I upgraded from the 5 to the 6 specifically for Pencil 2 support. The Mini 5 supports the first-gen Pencil, and while that was great as a first step towards going paperless in the cockpit for me, the way the Pencil 1 charges is just really an inconvenience for my use. I’d constantly get in the plane only to realize my Pencil is dead, and I’d have to just go back to paper anyway. I ended up just always carrying paper and a pen on me anyway, which kind of defeats the purpose of having the Pencil. So being able to have the Pencil 2 constantly stuck to the iPad and charging magnetically was enough in itself to get me to upgrade. You’d normally expect that any upgraded tech device would have all the stuff you liked about the prior model, but just with more power, features and/or a more elegant design. In the case of the Mini 6, though, I feel like it may be one step forward, two steps back. I’m really happy with the Pencil 2 support but not really with anything else. I may actually be returning it; I’ll update this review if I do.First, jelly scroll is real. I’m always skeptical of complaints like this. They often start with one person who’s either overly nitpicky or who just got a defective unit, and then they snowball as others with the same defect or a severe case of OCD write internet comments in agreement. But I was honestly shocked when I turned on my Mini 6, went to a random web page in Chrome, scrolled and saw the effect. It was much worse than I expected, and easily noticeable. It is difficult to believe this got past Apple’s quality control. In reading some other articles about this, it seems clear that Apple’s not really lying when they say this is “normal LCD behavior”, but the problem is that they’ve mounted the screen controller in the Mini 6 sideways. If you look at the Mini 5, and pretty much any other tablet, you do see some jelly scrolling in landscape orientation, but not in portrait orientation. The Mini 6 is the opposite; it jelly scrolls in portrait but not in landscape. So it is, oddly, a landscape tablet. The weird thing about it, though, is that the controls are not really set up for that orientation, and I sure don’t normally use it that way. It’s not an efficient way to read web pages; the only thing it’s good for is watching videos, where jelly scrolling isn’t an issue regardless of how the screen controller’s mounted. The screen is also slightly taller (or you could say “wider” if you consider it a landscape tablet), and that doesn’t work well in portrait mode either. My Mini 5 shows 6 icons across and they are nicely spaced. The Mini 6, using the same settings (smaller icons), shows 5 icons across and they are weirdly bunched up in the middle. This could be fixed with an OS update but I’d never buy any product based on the promise of a future update. Also, it again is just a weird design decision from a company that’s supposed to be all about design.I compared the screen brightness of the two tablets as well and while they’re close, the Mini 5 is very slightly brighter. Again, I made sure they had the same settings – max brightness, Night Shift off, and True Tone both on and off. The Mini 5 screen always wins by a hair.Add to all that the removal of the headphone jack and I’d say that if you don’t need Pencil 2 support, keep your Mini 5 or buy a refurbished one if you’re in the market for your first Mini. Save yourself some money too. This was just not a very good update to the Mini line.Personally, I just need to decide if the Pencil 2 support is enough to overcome all of the Mini 6’s downsides. My only viable alternative if I do want the Pencil 2 is the iPad Air, which is $100 more expensive and bigger/heavier… not necessarily an asset in a small plane carrying two people. The iPad Pro also supports the Pencil 2 but it is larger still and even more expensive. It’s a tough call for me, but I’d definitely say that most people should get either a Mini 5 (if you don’t need the Pencil 2) or an Air (if you want the Pencil 2 and have the space for a larger tablet).

    Mini iPad

This is the second mini I have owned, I don’t care for the bigger iPads and this one is not only easy to carry around but takes excellent pictures when my phone isn’t around. I wish the batteries were replaceable but I find that to be the only drawback.

    I LOVE THIS IPAD

My bigger iPad Air recently just broke so I was debating between getting another or getting the iPad mini. I am SO happy that I chose the Mini. I love that it is light enough to carry around wherever I go, but still has a bigger screen than my phone so I can do work/school on it. I have also been reading on it a LOT and think that it is the perfect tablet for reading. It is about the size of a kindle, but the iPad has better quality and downloading capabilities – I actually returned my Kindle after I started reading on this iPad mini.I would 10/10 recommend for someone who loves to read, but still loves to have all the capabilities of an iPad.

    Perfect!!

So I was on the fence about buying a mini iPad or a kindle, decided the iPad would be better especially because a kindle is not cheap. I was nervous about the quality of reading in the sun, but it was fine! Now I can use it for my favorite books, and as a teacher it makes it easy to have my notes when lecturing. Absolutely worth the money.

Great size for an ipad for work!

Love my mini for work! I have the Pro but wanted something a bit smaller (but not my phone) to be able to use on the go and this works perfectly—its compatible with my Apple Pencil and fits right in my coat pocket. Only thing that may be an annoyance is the fact that there is no Face ID just Touch ID but that doesnt really bother me too much

    I’m a Reluctant Convert

As a professional software developer, I’ve hated the arrogant Apple culture since 1981, when I bought my first computer. For phones and tablets, I’ve been a faithful Android user. When I wanted to replace my semi-android Kindle Fire for reading Kindle books, I bought a similarly sized Samsung Galaxy tablet. That turned out to be a slow performing battery hog, nothing like the larger Samsung tablets I’ve had. The only choice left was the iPad Mini. So, I held my nose and bought one. This turned out to be the best purchase I’ve made from Amazon in years. The screen is bright and clear, with vibrant colors. Performance is snappy in all the apps I’ve tried. Charging is super fast. In fact, the only thing slow about the tablet is consuming the battery charge.Just as impressive is the variety and quality of available apps. There are drawing and painting apps for a few bucks with capabilities comparable to PC software costing hundreds.I’m not going to run out and get an iPhone, since Samsung does a good job with phones. But my hat is off to Apple for this amazing tablet.

    IPad Mini

Once upon a time, a little girl was playing on her 2016 iPad that still had a button on the bottom of the screen. This girl would play Roblox all the time and she would not do any house chores or go outside anymore; she would be on that iPad for hours. Till one day her father broke it because she did nothing to help- out in the house. Years later… Yes, I was that little girl. I worked in landscaping trying to make money to buy a new iPad for school. I saw that all the iPads were too big, or they were too expensive. Nothing was to my liking, I wanted something small that could fit in any bag I carried or if I wanted to carry it would not look so big on my arm. That is when I gladly found the iPad mini. It was small and cute, but even with it being small. It was perfect for everyday use. It has Touch ID but there was no button on the bottom of the screen, it was on top of the iPad where the on and off button is. Making is easy access to use your iPad and do not worry it also has your basic 4 or 6 passwords just in case anyone wants to counterfeit your fingerprint. Now, let us talk about the battery on this iPad. It lasts up to the end of the day which is good if you take online notes in class. It comes in any style of service, as a college student I have Wi-Fi only on this iPad which is good enough for me. Let me get started on how you can decorate your home screen in your style, you can use photo widgets to create a pretty style, making it any design you would want. Like if you love the ocean your iPad mini can be based on the ocean by putting cute photo widgets of the ocean. My design contains a forest and my favorite color with a simple that is in the color dark green. Not only can you decorate your iPad mini you could also add other widgets to have fast access to any app if you do not want to look for it or you can put the widget on your Home Screen or even your Lock Screen. Speaking about the Home Screen the good thing about it is that you can split your screen, and I love that feature because it makes it easier to read a passage of a book and then the other screen has the questions and that makes my life so much easier, I tell you. Making it faster to do homework. You can now have another app open while doing your homework, with the multi-task feature that allows you to watch your favorite show while doing your homework! Not only is the Home Screen and Lock Screen the best thing out there, but your iPhone or Apple Watch connects to the iPad, which also lets you send a sneaky text message in class if teachers do not allow phones. Not only are text messages connected to the iPad but also if someone calls it shows on your screen as well. So, there is no excuse for why you do not answer your mom’s messages. If you love taking pictures of anything, the iPad mini camera has such excellent quality, or if you love to make videos and you need somewhere to edit, you can do that on the iPad mini too. Let’s say you are an artist, and you love to draw on the iPad, the new mini canvas feature can get that idea on your screen before you forget. Overall, what I love about the iPad mini is that even with it being small, the price for it is not even expensive. It is in a fair price range perfect for my 10-year-old self to afford with the birthday money I would have had, if only my parents did not take it away. It is a perfect starter iPad if you are a college student or high school student. Or even if you want one like I said something small and light weight the iPad mini is your perfect fit.!

    I love this tiny toy!

First let me tell you I was hesitant about buying an iPad Mini. I even considered buying an iPad Pro: I have had two 9.7″ iPads (series 4 and series 6) so I thought I would miss a larger screen. Turns out, I didn’t. I will give you a few hints on what to expect with this device:Pros:* Higher resolution: One of the main factors that led me to buy this tiny beast was the screen resolution (319 ppi), which is higher than any other iPad’s resolution. I highlight this feature because I use my iPad primarily to read and watch IT videos.* Portability (it’s really lightweight! You will be astounded when you pick one of these)* Size (You can hold the whole device with one hand while writing with the other, something unthinkable in larger iPads).* Battery life (Discharge rate: about 5% / hour when playing videos; Charge rate: about 10% / 14 min)* TouchID (Very convenient, and it recognizes the fingerprint very quickly)* Stereo speakers (they sound really good!)* Apple Pencil support (When paired with an Apple pencil, it’s a breeze. I’m using a note-taking application that allows me to use my iPad as a small notebook. It made me wish I had done this while I was still studying).* Three months of Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple Music (Apple gives you three months of Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple Music by only purchasing the device. So I’m enjoying a series in Apple TV+ “For all mankind” and it really looks great in this screen. I’m planning to watch other productions during these three months).Cons:* No silent mode switch (I use teh control center to lower the volume when needed)* No FaceID (I use the TouchID and it’s very convenient and fast)* No raise to wake (I gently double tap the screen to wake it up).* No Promotion (There is no workaround to this. The device has a standard 60hz screen, so you will have to decide if you accept it or not)* Some users report sort of a “jelly effect” in the screen when you fast scroll the screen. I haven’t noticed anything similar to this behavior in any direction (up, down in vertical nor portrait mode).A word of advice about storage:* If you’re thinking about this device, go for the 256 GB one. That was my selection, and I’m glad I did it, because after only one week of usage, I have already used 35 GB of storage. Had I selected the 64 GB version, I would be worried about the storage already. Conclusion:The iPad mini lacks some features its bigger brothers have, but despite this fact, this is totally a great device. If you can sacrifice those features in favor of portability (or you find a way to sort them, as I did), you won’t regret. Hopefully we will be able to see an “iPad Pro Mini” in the future (I hope Apple folks read this review someday), but for now, I’m very happy with this purchase. I’m declaring myself an iPad mini fan from now on.

The best mini ipad since sliced bread!! It’s awesome. WOW is all I can say. Highly recommend.

I spent 7 hours researching a good ipad. I wanted something to use in my hand, not to big or small. I am coming from the iPad mini 5th generation and WOW is this a huge step up. So many great things about it. Not one bad thing at all. I have 9 apple products and love them all. I’m well pleased. Apple does it again. I am glad that I got a good price for this. Apple and eBay sells this for $100 more so I bought it from Amazon. I am so glad that I did. It is super fast. Great feel, quality and awesome camera. The picture quality is unreal. It is very portable even with a case on it. The storage is great. I have 30GB free even after the new iOS install. This is a larger screen than the iPad 5th generation. No more home button, yay. I love the round square edges. I love the pencil 2 charging option. The new A15 bionic chip is awesome. So fast. The battery last 10 hours. Everything loads faster and better. My web pages load so much faster. The video content is awesome. I am very impressed. The 8.3″ screen is larger than the 7.9″ screens and you can tell the difference. I love the edge to edge viewing. The colors are so very real and vibrant. I highly recommend this. Must buy. I buy a new ipad Everytime they come out with the mini.

Perfect for carrying with me everywhere!

This is my third iPad. My first was an iPad Pro from 2017, second was my iPad Air 5th generation, and then this little guy. My boyfriend received my 2017 iPad from me (it still works well), and I love my iPad Air, but it’s a hassle to take it anywhere unless I have an enormous purse, or my work backpack.Hence, I bought this iPad mini during prime day (awesome deal!)I got the starlight color and 256 gb Wi-Fi only model. I decided to pay the extra $$$ to get the larger memory so that I can have the freedom to download movies and tv shows for when I don’t have Wi-Fi. Also, 64 gb is hardly enough storage nowadays, at least in my opinion.I use my iPad for reading, streaming movies/tv shows, as a planner, as a coloring book and sketchbook, and surfing the internet. I also purchased an Apple Pencil, second generation, and I purchased a Paperlike screen protector— it helps me write easier and smoother on it.I love this thing!!! It’s perfect to take literally anywhere and fits in most of my purses. I will say, battery life is subpar, especially when compared with my older iPad Pro. The 2021 iPad mini and 2022 iPad Air that I own don’t have the best battery life, but at least they charge up quickly with the included usb-c charger. I guess the newer models don’t hold a charge as long, but when I travel I bring an Anker portable battery with me, just in case.Yes… jelly scrolling is real, but not a deal breaker for me. You see it, but I don’t find it distracting at all. It only happens in portrait mode when you’re scrolling quickly, and because it’s an issue I expected, I’m not going to fuss over or complain about it.I’m planning on purchasing apple care. If you get an Apple device, there’s no reason not to get it, in my opinion. Apple will replace the iPad under warranty if something is wrong with it (not including accidents) for up to a year after original purchase, but if you don’t have Apple care and something happens after that, you’re stuck with a hefty bill. So… spend the extra coin and get apple care. This isn’t as heavy as my iPad Air, I can easily hold it in one hand, which makes it perfect for reading and watching shows. I believe it weighs about .5 lbs less than the Air or something like that.I don’t notice much of a difference between this iPad mini and my iPad Air with the M1 chip in it as far as processing power goes. It’s still fast and powerful, and can tackle anything I throw at it with ease.Delivery was okay. Amazon sent me a code to give to the Amazon driver on the day of delivery (the day after I ordered it). The driver dropped the iPad case I’d ordered on my doorstep, then left. I had to chase him down to give him the code and get my package. So a bit aggravating, but it ended up working out fine.I would definitely recommend this iPad mini to anyone who is looking for something larger than a phone, but smaller than an original sized iPad or laptop. It’s super portable. Sure, a little small for setting up two windows side by side, but I don’t do that often. Wait for a sale and purchase it! It’ll be well worth it.

    Perfect size

I love the mini for its size. Great for reading, games, quick check of photos. It’s so portable and charges quickly too.

A little Swiss Army knife of an iPad!

The iPad is my favorite accessibility tool. My 12.9″ iPad Pros (one for work, one for home) are my go-to tools all day long. Being visually-impaired, they’re a godsend. But, they’re also heavy, and a bit clumsy in some cases. As a magnifier, for example. For years I’ve been using an old 2017 10.5″ iPad Pro as a magnifier and general-use tool on my workbench. However, it was getting slow and cranky, plus the battery was losing charge pretty quickly. I decided to replace it with this iPad mini, since compared to most dedicated accessibility tools, it’s rather inexpensive. It turned out to be a good choice. The camera is sharp, and the form factor makes it easy to get into cramped spaces. Not to mention it’s light: at half the weight of my iPad Pro, I almost tossed it in the air the first time I used it.What came as a surprise is how much I turn to it for other needs. It’s nice to use sitting on the couch and having VoiceOver read news stories to me, or to have text conversations with friends, etc. Because it has a decent A15 SoC, it doesn’t lag when doing VoiceOver. Plus, the battery life is amazing. It’s a decent tool, and I expect I’ll be using it for many years.

    Great tablet despite drawbacks

Updated my old mini. Pluses: Very fast cpu & video; great screen form factor; quad speakers for vertical or horizontal use; plenty of memory for my needs, USB-C is convenient. Minuses: I miss the home button – they try to do too much with the remaining buttons; touch id is slow & somewhat clumsy – you have to master a suite of gestures in order to switch apps, etc. No audio out either, only bluetooth devices. iPadOS inexplicably moves things around from iOS; most maddening is the on-screen keyboard, which also works poorly. The camera is just okay but not nearly the quality of newer iPhones. Despite all this the iPad Mini is my favorite browsing and viewing device for use all day long.

    Obsessed Travel Blogger

I upgraded my iPad and I’m so glad that I did. I bought a mini in 2010. I think I’m not even sure when and nothing’s wrong with it. It just is old and like with all things Apple they stop pushing updates too older devices so that you have to buy new ones, that’s fine. I got a lot of good use out of that iPad but for a couple of years now I wanted to upgrade. With Amazon prime day the deal on a new mini was better than the discount that I get for being an educator. During the summer, I travel a lot and write for a travel blog that I run And I have recently started my own YouTube channel. I wanted something small that I could take with me and write my blogs and do social media on and I have an iPhone and that’s great. There was a piece missing. The iPad that I had before didn’t have iMovie on it and so I couldn’t make the YouTube videos that I wanted without bringing my laptop and a camera and then having my phone there was just a lot to put together , so I upgraded and I bought this picture. I also did a review for. And basically made a travel blogging laptop that I can take with me and shove in a suitcase or a tote bag and I don’t need to bring all of the things that I was bringing with me that were super cumbersome. I should’ve upgraded my iPad sooner .

iPad Mini is a Great Tablet

I’ve had several iPads but always felt they were a little heavy and cumbersome. I purchased the Apple iPad mini primarily for reading, and removed apps that often distract from my daily reading habit. The iPad mini can easily be held in one hand, and feels more like holding a book while you’re reading in your favorite chair. The light weight makes it easier to leave my laptop behind and just carry it to the neighborhood coffee shop when I want to get away for a couple of hours. My only regret is not ordering this with more memory and built in cellular for data.
